Jesus explain there are many reasons why people fall away from faith in Him. One of them is being disappointed with God.
People normally gets disappointed when their expectations are too high. This can happen when we loose focus on the most important matters related to our faith.
Not reading the bible, and not having spiritual fellowship with other Christians, will normally quickly result in apostasy and an exodus from the Messianic faith.
But what about not getting what we expect from God our Father?
We can learn from Paul, his life and legacy.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
A Christians who are content with being granted salvation and eternal life, will not be disappointed with God, regardless of what kind of evils and persecution thrown upon him. Also sudden death of relatives, who did not receive healing as promised by so-called faith-healers and prophets.
The second issue is walking down the wrong path. Be careful so false prophets dont lead you into work you are not called by God to do. Always remember that you have already been granted salvation of your soul. Man is saved by Faith in Jesus, alone, separated from works.
for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
The Third issue is our innermost motives. When we pray with wrong motives, Jesus is not obliged to answer our prayers.
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
One of the main reasons for asking with wrong motives, are selfish ambitions that are of the flesh. We desire to do “something for God”, but do not seek His advice and instructions first. Pride will be attached to our nose, and we will soon be seeking our own honour and glory for what we do in His name.
A third issue is the existence of evil. Many times we hear atheists, and fallen away Christians, complaining. – When God has all the powers, why do he accept the existence of Satan and evil? Will this not make God responsible for evil, since He do bot use his powers to abolish such?
This is a simple answer to this question: Evil is a fruit of our free will. God created us with the will-power to reject Him, and to do what is wrong. Luckily, we are mot created to be puppets. God wanted us to chose Him freely, and enjoy His creation and honor Him.
The first will-powered rebellion took place in Heaven. Lucifer wanted to replace God the Father, and got a third of the angles to join him.
He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.
Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient snake called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
They were all hurdled down to Earth. Likewise, every man is capable of using His free will fo rebell, do harm and in this way call curses down on his own head.
So be wise. Today, accept the salvation offered in the blood of Jesus the Messiah. He paid on the cross for your sins, and took the punishment you deserve. His blood, only, can be used as a remedy for sins. He rose from the death for our justification, and is alive for ever more. If you fully understand that you have escaped the eternal flames of Hell, you will not live a life being disappointed with God. But rather praise Him in all circumstances.
