He was canonised by pope Benderict XiV. His skull is paraded in the city of Soria in Spain. The Roman Catholic priesthood has scattered his bones.

The recognition of San Saturio as a saint in the catalog of saints of the Church arrived onAugust 31, 1743 by decree of Pope Benedict XIV, the patronage and festive character of both precepts was granted to the city of Soria, on the day of San Saturio. The city opens the month of October with a novena in honor of San Saturio, whose relics are processioned. The streets are dressed up with parades of giants and big heads, concerts and fireworks. It is tradition, on the other hand, to celebrate a pilgrimage to the hermitage of San Saturio.
Here are some more pcitures:

Her is the Inventory that was made of the relics of San Saturio on October 11, 1603:
The entire head of the Saint, which is part of the other Relics placed in his silver Reliquary. A whole leg with part of the leather on the thigh, with a large bone of the back stuck to it. Another large bone of the leg. Half braced elbow in hand, with four fingers of it, all whole, and all almost covered in leather. Three bones of braces, all whole. A large host, in which the entire hip is with much leather. A bone of a fork, Two ribs stuck with the shoulder of the chest. The last large bone of the spine. Another braso or leg, long. Nine whole ribs, and three other pieces of them. Two large bones of the spine. Three large pieces of meat. What all these relics, bones, skin, and flesh, as they are numbered, are in the ark of Mr. San Saturio closed with three keys, which have the Dean, and Cabildo of Santa Iglesia. Assi says the inventory that was made of them by the illustrious Mr. Fray Enrique Enriquez.

My comment:
After publishing 117 articles displaying Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christian worship of skull, corpses and bones, I still get surprised when fining new examples. This time from the heartland of Spain. I fail to understand how any Evangelical Christian can include Roman Catholicism into the family of Christians. When priest carry skulls around in their religious shrines, they do not represent God of the Bible.
Its difficult to find bible references to such blasphemy, dones in the name of “Christ”. We know from the Old Testament, the Tannakh, that there was priest of the idol-demon Dagon, who displayed skulls in their temples. The Roman Catholic priesthood seems to be their successors
Paul warns us. Do not even eat with claimed brothers who are idol worshipers.
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
News That Matters is an evangeical blog that desire to exoose this morbid religious practise of the Roman Catholic Church.
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Unfortunately, there is a New Apostolic Movement (NAR) who promote an endgame union with Rome. Do not join them, but rather expose their evil deeds. They have fallen away to follow the antichrist pope. If they do not repent, they will walk towards to wide gates of destruction, face judgment and eternity in Hell. Please remember that I loved you enough to warn you. May Jesus the Messiah have mercy on your soul, and my soul too. Amen.

The more I read these articles, the more I’m convinced of the lack of understanding undergirding them.
A saint is a holy one (that’s literally what it means). How did they get that way?
Because of Christ Jesus.
1. They are baptized into Christ, regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
2. They are united to Christ & are therefore holy.
3. Their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
4. They abide as branches receiving their life from the Vine, Christ Jesus, therefore they (their souls) cannot die.
5. Their bodies await the resurrection in the Second Coming.
6. They are revered because they demonstrate the power of God over death & His promises to us as His spiritually adopted sons & daughters who partake of the Divine nature & share in His glory.
All of this is Scriptural.

Please provide evidence supporting your claims of any evil or wrong doing because all I see are baseless accusations & sensationalism intended for itchy ears.
You believe that union with the Catholic Church is wrong? Why? Christ founded one Church. That Church is His visible Body on earth. Nowhere in the Scriptures are we commanded to rebel against & sever the Body members for pride & hatred & misunderstanding. Christ called His Church into unity – not disunity & chaos because this one is entitled to their own interpretation of Scriptures as does this other one.
Do you hate the Pope? Interestingly enough there is a saying that the Protestant with Bible in hand is his own pope? Because in rejecting the authority established by Jesus Christ, He reinterprets Scripture to suit his own opinions, denying the authority of Christ in the process.
It was no accident that Jesus told Peter that He would give him the keys to the kingdom citing that very reference from Isaiah 22 indicating the kind of power He was bestowing on Peter.

My reply:
You need to pay attention to this warning from Paul.
2 Corinthians 11:4
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
An entire union based on faith in “Jesus”, can be very dangerous. If you are in union with people who follow a copy-cat Messiah.
Rome represent a false Messiah. Simply because the Pope’s “Jesus” is born by an ever virgin, “Catholic Mary”, and not the biblical mother of Jesus, the true Messiah.
What evidence do you present of any “copy cat” Messiah? History shows that the Catholic Church precededed Protestantism by about 1500 years. Protestantism with any historical examination gives the impression that it had been there all along, & it wasn’t. Most Protestants I’ve seen are not properly instructed in the history of the Early Church nor even of their own individual churches & denominations. All Protestant churches are the result of someone having broken off of the Catholic Church & following their own unathoritative interpretation of Scripture to start their own churches – or even from churches that’ve broken off of these separated churches. I would be more inclined to say that these churches have created Christ in their own images. Why? Because while some agree with the Church in a Trinitarian understanding of the nature of God, some don’t – even reverting back to ancient heresies under new names, yet all claiming Biblical support. How can that be?
As written in a previous post, this one church teaches that baptism doesn’t save – it’s only symbolic; another teaches you don’t even need baptism. This church teaches homosexual marriage is unscriptural, another says it is & affirms gay marriage.
The teachings of the Church – to my observation – have been consistent over time. I can’t say the same of Protestantism.
I would humbly challenge you to actually study the history of the Early Church. I used to be Baptist, later Fundamental, then Nondenominational – now Catholic. I grew up with the whole spiel just like you’re giving it: “It’s idolatry – paganism – etc.” & the more I actually researched the matter for myself, I found that the answers we as Protestants had for many of the things claimed about Catholicism, they’re very superficial at best.
Are there bad things going in in the Church at present? You bet there is! The Church from what I can see is under spiritual assault. God is cleaning house, & it’s hard to see where some branches may be broken off, but He knows best. I liken it to Israel. Even Israel had its bad times, but they are still lived by God, & God has not abandoned His People. We have been grafted into the Vine.
May I ask? Are you Norwegian? I am American.
Dear ashiraladonai
Shalom and love in Jesus.
I am not so concerned about the Catholic-Protestat issue. My focus is on what the Scripture says. I can make a long list of Roman Catholic heresy, but I will focus on the core errors of the Papacy.
1. The Pope claim to be the vicar of Christ, the replacement of the Messiah on Earth. The bible says the Holy Spirit is the only replacement.
2. The Pope claim to be the “Holy Father”. Jesus says we only have one Spiritual Father, and that is God or Father. Jesus calls on His Father in Heaven as “Holy Father”.
3. The bible say we shall only pray to God the Father, using the name of Jesus. The Pope says we can pray in many names, “Catholic Mary”, the Popes “saints”, ctc.
Leave the Catholic-Protestant issue aside: A Christian will only pray in the name of Jesus. Only. Not possible to compromise on this issue. A Christian, a follower of Jesus, will neither pray “Hail Mary”, nor will he pray in the name of any papal saint. This is the reason why the Roman Catholic religion can not, and should not be included in the family of Jesus the Messiah.

You stated: “I am not so concerned about the Catholic-Protestat issue.”
You say this yet contradict yourself towards the end of your response.
You stated: “My focus is on what the Scripture says.”
That is noble, however long ago in the early days of the Church (ca. 33-400 AD) – before we even had the Christian Bible in its current form (OT + NT) – how historically did Christians share their faith without it (The Scriptures consisted of the OT books currently in most modern versions of the Bible + other books since at that point in time neither the Hebrew nor Christian Biblical canons had yet been settled)?
Yes, the Gospels & Epistles (Letters) of the Apostles had been written before 100 AD, but the Christian Bible with both the OT & NT canon did not exist in its current form & took about 400 years to develop. Where do you believe it came from? Through whom or what did the Holy Spirit help discern the canon of Scripture?

What is your denominational affiliation?
By what authority do you determine what is heresy?

Christians have historically prayed asking for the intercession of their fellow saints on earth as well as those in heaven, who see God face to face, & since they are sanctified & righteous (“The prayers of a righteous man are efficacious”), God hears them. Catholics pray both to Christ directly as well as through the saints. It is for us as asking a fellow Christian to pray for us. The command to pray unceasingly doesn’t end with death.
The “Hail Mary” is Scriptural:
From Luke 1 KJB (BibleHub):
28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
41And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
“Kecharitomene” is the Greek from which we get “highly favored” also meaning “endowed with grace” or “full of grace”
Pray to the saints & angels is Scriptural:
Revelation 5:8:
7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8And when he had taken the book, *the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints* .
How did these 24 elders in heaven get the prayers of the saints so as to lift them up as incense before God?
From Revelation 6 KJB (BibleHub):
The Fifth Seal: Martyrs
9And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
These martyrs are very much alive crying out to God from under the altar & putting in robes. (Precedent here shown for relics of saints under the altar in Catholic churches).
From Revelation 8 KJB (BibleHub):
3And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. 5And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
How did this angel get the prayers of the saints?
Here’s another question for you: was Jesus speaking with dead people & contradicting His Word when He was transfigured speaking with Moses & Elijah?
The Pope does not replace Christ: that misunderstands the meaning of “vicar” & his office. A vicar is a representative or substitute who stands in the place of the Head by appointment. He is like the Chief Steward – a shepherd appointed by Christ with great authority over His Church to care for His flock. Think of Eliakim in Isaiah 22 & Joseph, who was 2nd in command to Pharaoh.
3 times Jesus told St. Peter to feed/take care of His sheep, & in so doing, He was calling St. Peter as a shepherd – a bishop – an overseer of His Church – the Chief Overseer.
Do you call your own father “father”?
If Christ forbade calling others “father”, then explain why other NT references still used the term in a nonbiological sense. That suggests to me that Christ had a different meaning to His statement about “Call no man ‘father’…” than you suggest.
