Pope Francis said on Sunday that Christians and the Roman Catholic Church should seek forgiveness from gay people for the way they had treated them.
In an hour-long conversation with reporters on the plane taking him back to Rome from Armenia,the pontiff was asked if he agreed with recent comments by a German Roman Catholic cardinal that the Church should apologise to gay people.
The pope recalled Church teachings, saying: “[Gay people] should not be discriminated against. They should be respected, accompanied pastorally.
“I think that the Church not only should apologise … to a gay person whom it offended but it must also apologise to the poor as well, to the women who have been exploited, to children who have been exploited by (being forced to) work. It must apologise for having blessed so many weapons.”
The Church teaches that homosexuality is not sinful but homosexual acts are, and that homosexuals should try to be chaste.

My comment:
The Pope should first and foremost apologize to us all, for being “a pope”. There is nothing as such in the Bible. The Vatican has usurped authority. The Pope do neither represent God of the Bible, nor any followers of Jesus, also called Christians.
Next, the Pope should be able to read the Bible. And not let political correctness be the base of his philosophies. God of the Bible killed all people in the city of Sodom and Gomorra. These cities was morally retarded beyond repair. Homosexual offenders, even demanding sex with visiting angels.

I tell my mother about things the pope says and does. She says she doesn’t follow him. I have tried many times to get through to her. Sad to say she says she with die a catholic. I pray God has grace for her before she should die. She will be 84 this year. Pray for her and others who are following this religion and are deceived. I work among Hindu-converts. It is very refreshing to be among them. They know they have to scrap everything they have learned, get a rebirth and a new beginning. For Roman Catholics, its much more difficult to embrace truth. Because many claimed to be Christians, support the Roman Catholic Church. Catholics are told they are saved, and can stay put. They do not understand, that they have been raised in Satans hard-copy of the true Messianic faith. Catholicism has to be completely scraped, and there will be no turning back.
He needs to apologize to the millions he lies to to by telling them they need “a mary” to get to “a jesus” to get to “a god”…he is a liar and a compromiser..he is of his father the devil_JESUS said so! Great post Ivar! We don’t listen to the pope he is a thief, see below. WE need to tell the Christians in most churches that ALL fornication is a sin, including adultery. They are living boyfriend and girlfriend together and call themselves Christians, this is sin also and grieves God. They won’t listen, we have ‘little gods’ walking around doing their own thing. If you kicked these people out of the churches the church would be mostly empty! Instead the true Christians have left them to themselves and started house churches because we want to obey God. “Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? skipping down to verse 9, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Yes, there are many sins. And all sins lead to death. But Sodomi, is in a league of its own. God did not kill all people in Sodoma, because they robbed candy from Children. Nor because husbands were unfailful to their wifes. I often hear Christians complaining, why the gay community are called worse sinners than others. Well, ask God. Read your Bible, and reflect on why these two cities were made into ashes. Sodomi is a perversion of God’s creation. Our youth are lead into perversion. It triggers God’s wrath.

The media is spinning the full context and is having a field day in the office.
In most cases, both the news headline and the text of the story got it wrong. In some cases, the story correctly offered the pope’s clarification, but the headline was wrong.
No matter, the public is being deceived and the truth is being distorted.
We have to remember that ALL sin is still sin, there are no ‘degrees of sinfulness’ before the sight of God, as rightfully noted by Ivar above. Just to be clear, the actual sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are:
“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” Ezekiel 16:49 (KJV)
“Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.” (ESV)
Sodomy was but a subset of their sins, made manifest because of their pride and abundance. Then again, these days, the sodomites boldly hold their ‘gay PRIDE parades’ publicly before the sight of God and all the people, so there is little difference whether they will all be destroyed because of their pride, or because of their pride parades.
Also, I have always been puzzled by how the sodomites have an abundance of time and money to waste, to be on a constant lookout for ‘discrimination’ and pushing their activism any which way they can, whether by gathering in public places to cause disturbances, or spamming the feeds on social media every hour. Don’t they have any real work to do? It reminds me of this verse above, where the bellies of these people are so full, they become idle and bored with nothing else better to do but harass the rest of the normal people into supporting their sin.
As for the pope though, the terrible thing he is doing is through his idiotic way of handling them ‘pastorally’, and he imagines they will respond favorably to his rubbish speeches and join his church. Instead, he is doing them all a great service in granting them full legitimization of sin, and strengthening their repulsion to Christianity. He tries to ‘humiliate’ Christ and the church by apologizing to a rebellious people. In one short stroke, he covers the sins of his sodomite priests (how could anyone prosecute his flock of perverts and pedophiles then, if he supports the gay public?) and the rest of the atheists. Why would anyone bother to turn to Christ, if this ‘representative’ says everyone goes to heaven, and that gays need apologies instead of repentance? And Ivar, you’re right about the youth being led into perversion. Even now, I see Christian kids, and even my younger sister, posting or saying things like “Love Wins!” Whose love really? Definitely not God’s. Truly, the perversion of the minds of this generation is complete and judgment is soon to follow.

Thanks for this commment. The sins of Sodom, was surely not only “sodomy”, or men having sex with men. Put it is particularly this perversion, that is mention in the book of Genesis. In the book of Ezekiel, we see that this city is very much like most cities in the World today. That is why we know that we have come to the end of the age. The sin of Sodom is everywere. The sins if the days of Noah is everywhere. Just like Jesus said in Luke 17.
