The Messiah paid for the sins of the World with His own blood. He defeated sin on the cross on Calvary Hill in Jerusalem.

The passover lamb of God has been sacrificed. The event took place in Jerusalem 2.000 years ago.
The Messiah has risen. After three days and three nights in Sheol, He appeared to 500 witnesses. He is alive.
We are called to walk in the power of His resurrection. As free men, with our names written in the book of life. We are called to trust, obey, rely on and live for Him. Every day. Amen.
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
If you love Him:
1. Do not make images, and do not worship them. Only worship the Lord, in spirit and in truth.
2. Do not pray in any other names than his.
3. Do not consult departed souls.
4. Get baptized by full immersion, and announce to the World that you will follow Him.
5. Do not compromise on the written infallible Word of God.

What is a layperson/non-Bible scholar to do??
Here is our dilemma: Every Christian Old Testament Bible scholar, apologist, pastor, and priest on the planet says that the Old Testament prophesies the birth and death of Jesus of Nazareth as the Jewish Messiah (ben David). However, every (non-messianic) Jewish “Old Testament” scholar and rabbi adamantly states that there is not one single prophecy in the Hebrew Bible about Jesus.
So who are we poor ignorant saps to believe?
In lieu of spending the next 10 years becoming a fluent Hebrew-speaking Old Testament scholar yourself, I would suggest using some good ol’ common sense. Who is more likely to be correct:
1.) Jewish sages and rabbis who have spent their entire lives immersed in Jewish culture, the Jewish Faith, the Hebrew language, and the Hebrew Bible—for the last 2,000 years…or… 2.) seminary graduates from Christian Bible colleges in Dallas, Texas and Lynchburg, Virginia?
Sorry, Christian scholars, but using good ol’ common sense, I have to go with the Jewish scholars. And Jewish scholars say that Christian translators deliberately mistranslated and distorted the Hebrew Bible to say things in the Christian Bible that is never said in the original Hebrew—for the purpose of inventing prophesies into which they could “shoehorn” Jesus!
I recommend that every Christian read the bombshell book, “Twenty-Six Reasons Why Jews Don’t Believe in Jesus” by orthodox Jewish author, Asher Norman. You will be blown away by the evidence that this Jewish author presents that confirms why Jews have said the following for the last two thousand years: “Jesus of Nazareth was NOT the Messiah.”
@ nonsupernaturalist
Why don’t you refer to inspired Bible instead, but some speculation written by a man? There’s plenty of speculations out there, I know.
I have Hebraic Roots Bible translation. I don’t think its translators dared to deviate from meaning of original texts. That would destroy the purpose of their work.
Old testament has many references pointing toward promised Messiah.
Psalm 2nd chapter, directly mentions YAHWEH and His Messiah.
Read whole chapter, it says, God has Son.
What about Proverbs 30:4. It asks about Son’s name.
And then Micah 5:2 says this:
“And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me to become One ruling in Israel; and His goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.”
No mere man or prophet has goings ” from the days of eternity”.
Isaiah wasn’t just hallucinating when he prophesied this:
Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty El, The Prince of Peace, The one who Fathered Everlasting life.”
or Isa 61:1
“The Spirit of Adonai YAHWEH is on Me, because YAHWEH has anointed Me to preach the good news to the meek. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, and complete opening to the bound ones;”
That promised Son was promised long before. Even by God Himself, when He prophesied to satan he will bruise His heel. Crucifixion was exactly that. Bruising of satan’s head is next.
Gen_3:15
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”
And read another prophecy in Isaiah 53, about the promised One, destined to suffer in hands of his own people, just as Jesus did. Read whole chapter.
Jews proved to be stubborn people many times. Do I want to learn from them? Perhaps from their mistakes.
Keywords “He is not here”. So why do Christians celebrate Easter as if he was here? Chocolates, parties and easter eggs…
When Jesus was with his disciples those disciples did not fast, others who were not able to be as close to Jesus fasted, And Jesus said when he was gone his disciples would fast.
Matt 9:14 Then John’s disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?”
9-15 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
Roman Catholicism is full of unbiblical traditions.
Jesus taught his disciples to commemorate his last supper, and use bread & wine as symbols to remember purpose of his sacrifice.
RCC turned even this, the most important Christian commemoration, into holiday full of pagan symbols of fertility, or that evil doctrine of Eucharist & Transubstantiation.
Because of their centuries long bowing, kissing and praying to idols, their eyes are shot, conscientiousness is numb, to the fact they still carry around dead Christ on the cross, bow to him & kiss him, even though He is alive, risen, almost 2000 years now.
I guess, one who desired to kill Jesus, satan, is happy to see symbol of his victory all over the world.
No wonder Yahveh, our God didn’t want his people make and worship any symbols.
AMEN, pdvor2!
AMEN, IVAR!!!
Praise God! Bless you, Ivar, and all who love Him with love undying!
Amen, Maria!!!
