There is nothing wrong in washing the feet of Muslims and Hindu’s, if their feet’s are dirty. Or to display what Jesus did to His own apostles.
To bow and lick the feet of Muslims, will otherwise be considered a dhimmi attitude. A sign that the Pope surrenders to the sons of Muhammad. To bow and lick the feet of a Hindu, will be taken as a sign that you accept him as a god.
That the Pope to this is horribly wrong. But the worst part of is, is the spiritual implications. The Pope link believers and non-believers to the term “children of the same God”. By doing so he deceive billions of people.

I have over many years, made a strong case for all who claim that the Pope is no Christian. This is yet another example that the pope is an antichrist, claiming to be the replacement of the Messiah on the face of the Earth, rhe “Vicar of Christ”.
If the Pope was c Christian, He would call all Hindus to repent from their idolatry, stop worshiping wood and stone. Hindu’s are serving thousands of different gods.
If the Pope was a Christian, he would call Muslims to repentance. By not limiting Jesus the Messiah to be a mortal man, a prophet. But to accept the Messiah as God eternal.
It is a shame, that many evangelical leaders accept the papacy as a Christian leader. if they do not repent, they will have to spend eternity with the Pope, and millions of deceived souls.

How do the Muslims come to know and love our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ but through acts such as this.
They see His word in action. They see the joy and peace on his face in this act of service. They see the Lord living in this humble servant. This was more powerful evangelization than telling them, bluntly what they need for salvation.

I have yet to see the pope promote Jesus from what I seen is his promoting Mary the mother of heaven. The Catholic Church (many without knowing) has been into black magic for quite a long time through symbolism including the bent staff. My favorite is the popes chair with an an upside down cross. Also I was talking to a catholic lady who said she and her relatives want nothing to do with Vatican 2 after her relatives attended a meeting with the bishop back in the 60s and saw what the council was offering. Her relatives came back from the meeting and have not been back since. Out of respect for Ivarfjeld I won’t post the article but it has to do with ecumenism which the pope is leading the way. Well, you said it. The Pope is by the RCC considered infallible in not exactely trivial matters. Any man who claims such infallibilties is a liar. Only God is infallible.
The Pope is also considered infallible when He canonnize saints. Always done after their souls have departed. No cross examination possible. The Pope is like God, when he claim to know with 100 per cent surety that a soul has entered Heaven. Such claims by a religious authority, is fraud. And nothing but fraud.
Washing someones feet is surely symbol of servitude, but it seems, no one pays attention to fact it was just the symbol of what Jesus tried to convey to his disciples.
Who mentions Peter who refused to let Jesus wash his feet before realizing the Jesus was / is the only one who can wash “dirty – sinful” feet of EVERY MAN?
Who mentions the fact, Jesus after washing all those “sinful” feet, sat down, reclined and no disciple dared to wash his feet?
NO ONE!

The docrine of papal infallibility is the root cause behind all the evils of Rome. No man is infallible. It is not given to any man to always be right in moral issues. Nor can any man phantom all the deepts of the scriptures. Only Jesus can. Because He was, is and forever will be God. The Pope is not.
When any organization, or faith society elevate a man to the position of God: Not only to they defame God. The fruits will be bad, very bad.

The message is that Jesus humbled Himself to become a servant as we are to do for others. One must understand that in those days the slaves washed the master’s feet.
No, off course you cannot be saved by foot washing. In this case it can for sure lead to accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour and with time with the grace of God all unbelievers.

I have washed the feet of gypse children. In front of their parents. These people, are the outcast of the society. Branded by the Victorian British empire, as a criminal tribe in India, persecuted according to the imperial Criminal Tribes Act.
If I told them “You are children of the same God”, i would be a liar. Because they do not know Jesus, and have had no clue of how to be saved. I am a child of God in the Messiah, and only in Him. They are not.
Therefore, the gospel was preached. The message of repentance was clear cut: “You need to stop worshipping idols. Because God hates idols. If you want to have God as your Father, you have to accept His Son. Only He can save you from your sins”.
If I had dressed up like the pope, and invited them to a Roman Catholic shrine: Neither would they stop worshipping idols. Nor would the truth be told to them.

What you have said is not true. This is how misunderstandings start by twisting words and make it false.
What the Pope did was right, he acted in LOVE.
Christianity has taught us Christians to love everyone, and stay humble.
Thinking that we are the only way to God and that others cannot be “saved” is arrogance, and it invites hatred for people of other religions rather than LOVE.
There are so many people of other religions who do good to the world everyday, are they not a child a God just because they do not all themselves Christians? This is ridiculous. EVERYONE IS A CHILD OF GOD, God loves everyone, Christian or not.
Love IS the greatest commandment.

Yes, “love” is the most misused word among religious people. They say “all are children of God”. The problem is that the Bible tells us differently:
1 John 5:19
We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
Who are “we”? And who are all the rest, those who help the devil? In fact, the Whole world are under the control of the children of Satan. Who are they?
Or what about this?
Phillipians 2:15-16
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

What is the differene between the blameless Children of God, and a crooked and perverse generation?
For all Christians, not Catholics, the answer is obvious. Those who accept Jesus as Lord and God, and those who rejects Him. Those who claim there are other ways to be saved from sin than through the salvation offered in the atoning blood of Jesus the Messiah, will have to pay the ultimate price of spending eternity in Hell.
Like I presume you do, By claiming, Muslims, Hindus, wiccas (witches) etc being “Children of God” you make a mockery out of the true faith and the gospel.
The Bible says many different things, sometimes even contradicting messages.
It is important to note that God did not write the Bible and drop it down from the heavens. MEN wrote the Bible, and it was continuously revised. There is no way that none of those men had no intentions of causing fear, hate and to control the masses.
Obviously the Bible would tell us that we are the only ones going to Heaven and the rest are going to hell. It is written by MEN to separate groups of people.
If God is so benevolent, then why would so many people go to hell?
That notion does not make sense. Jesus did not die on the cross for Christians, he died on the cross for EVERYONE, for everyone’s sin, to SAVE everyone. As he died, he asked God to “forgive them as they do not know what they are doing”. So every non-Christian will be forgiven for not believing in God.
I know there are huge debates in religion, but this is one I stand firm in.
There is no way a young innocent child will be sent to hell simply because he is not Christian like us.
There is no way a charity worker who spends his/her time to help others will be sent to hell for simply not being Christian. It does not make sense and I refuse to believe it.
And anyways, many use to Bible to justify your perspectives on the issue, so I would also like to remind you to that the Bible says that we should love our enemies and leave the judgement to God. We as Christians are not supposed to be the police condemning anyone for their actions. All we are here on this Earth for is to spread the love of God.
Remember that as you are pointing our finger at someone, 3 fingers point back at yourself.

Its not possible for me to find common ground with people who have this kind of view on the Bible. For you this is a man made book, of people who might, might have not got a message from God.
For me, this is the infallible Word of God. The Holy Spirit has secured that there is not a single fault or contradiction in the Hebrew scripture and the New Testament. The Bible, alone is the highest authority in all matters related to the Christian faith. All tru Christians will hold on to this doctrine.
The ide that the Bible is just a book, is truly universal or Catholic. That is why the Vatican feel they can add thier traditions, and claim they are an equal authority with the Bible. The RCC do claim that the only man who can balance the Bible and the “sacred traditons”, and fully can understand the will of God, is the Pope.
Ivar, I stand with you and the Good Lord on the fact that the Bible is TRUE. To believe the Bible is JUST a man made book is scary. I too use to think that way until that “JUST A MAN MADE BOOK” showed me that Jesus died for me and said that HE is the way! the truth and the life. That statement took me right out of a dead religion. I would have a sincere question for Remember What Love Is: if you believe the Bible to be JUST a book, then why did you quote scripture from it?

There IS truth in the book, my point is that one must not ASSUME that EVERYTHING within it is a truth, because some where along the line there has been things added or taken away, mistranslations, and many different versions written. So it is NOT 100% truth anymore, as the truth has been TAMPERED by men.

The oral human passing on of messages, can not be trusted at all. But the written Word of God can. If you study how the bible has been preserved, you will surley be both shocked and amazed. Today, 3.000 yeas after the first books were written down, 97-98 per cent is fully recognizable, and the word published meaning the same as the original text.
How do we know?
Read about the Dead Sea scrolls.
How is this possible?
The Jews needs to get some solid credit. They belived the Word was infallible, not changeble and holy. To tamper with it would be a mortal sin. It was their calling to preserve the Word, and minister it to the whole World. If a Jewish Bible schoolar did a single mistake, a singel letter written wrongly, the whole book he copied had to be burned. And he had to start all over again.
Praise Jesus, who oversaw this work, and blessed all the men who were in His service.
Jesus said through His Prophet Moses, also copied by Peter the Apostle:
“I WILL, make you a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation”. To claim that Jesus was not able to keep His promise, makes this “christ” very litle, fallible and impotent. Sadly many people decieve them selves, beliving they are saved by such a false Messaiah.

Actually, it is commonly recognised that only about 80-85% of the Bible is accurate.
Even if your percentage of 97-98% is right, then it still goes to show that it is not fully, or 100% accurate.
98% (a generous, conservative estimate) is STILL NOT 100%. Yes, word-of-mouth is less reliable, but writing has their limitations too.
How can you be so sure that what you’re quoting is part of the 80-98% truth?
I’ll leave you to your opinion, and I’ll leave this website with my opinion that the best thing to focus on is to be of good service to my community by showing love to others and promoting peace. For one this website seems to condone hate and the special-snowflake-syndrome, which I personally think is very unChrist-like.

Why only 97-98 per cent?
This is it self an interesting topic. In a bid to solve the gap, I have 11 different Bible translations.
The challenges linked of correctly copy a text, are many. Like name of places has changed etc. This challenge is particular when you translate the text into a different langauge.
The word “love” in English, and the word “love” in Hebrew means and covers different things. When I say “Oh, I love hambugers”, that would be a totally unknown concept for Moses and his fellow Bible writers. And the LOVE God has for the World, is not understood at all by 9 out of 10 around us.
That God loves us Agape (unconditional love in Hebrew, a word not fully understood in the English language), but only in the Messiah. God hates sin. He hates it!. He is willing and capable of sending all unrepentant sinners to Hell. That is Biblical love, since God has made a way of escape in His Son.
