The Vatican priesthood will grant forgiveness for Roman Catholics who have taken abortion.
Pope Francis will give all priests discretion during the Roman Catholic Church’s upcoming Holy Year to formally forgive women who have had abortions, in the Argentine pontiff’s latest move towards a more open and inclusive church.
In Church teaching, abortion is such a grave sin that those who procure or perform it incur an automatic excommunication. Usually only designated clergy and missionaries can formally forgive abortions.
But from Dec.8 to Nov. 26, during an extraordinary Holy Year or “Jubilee” on the theme of mercy announced by Pope Francis in March, all priests will be able to do so, he said in a letter published on Tuesday by the Vatican.
In the letter, Francis described the “existential and moral ordeal” faced by women who have terminated pregnancies and said he had “met so many women who bear in their heart the scar of this agonizing and painful decision”.
Francis is the first non-European pope in 1,300 years and has marked himself out for his tolerance regarding taboo topics. Although he has shown no intention of retracting the Church’s opposition to abortion, he has alarmed conservatives by taking a less forceful tone than his predecessors.

However, Pope Francis is taking it to a universal level. He said that the forgiveness of God can’t be denied to a person who has sincerely repented, especially when the person comes to the Sacrament of Confession in order to be genuinely reconciled with the Father.

The Pope claims infallibility in matters of good moral, and interpretation of scriptures. Here is seems that the Pope has failed on both accounts.
If God is not willing to forgive, what kind of forgiveness can be granted by a priest?
Any person who claim to know Jesus, but kill an unborn child, can not be sure of forgiveness. That would be to take forgiveness for grated. “cheep mercy” is another word for such theology.
The Bible is crystal clear. Those who claim to know the Messiah, can not continue to sin on purpose.
1.John 3:6
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.
Those who have been born again by the spirit of God, will hate sin. Regardless of what the Pope and his religious priesthood might claim. If we fear God, we will obey Him.
For all who have had faith in the Pope because the Roman Catholic Church stand against abortion, hopefully this was the eyeopener they needed. The new logic is: If the Pope can grant forgiveness, no need to worry about murdering a child.

We can not expect the pagans to honor God of the Bible. They will have to be born again by the spirit of God, to be able to understand spiritual matters.
A pagan who have killed her unborn baby, can obviously be forgiven. Sinc she killed her child, before she knew the Messiah. A Christian who kill her own baby, have betrayed the God she claims she obeys.
One of the toughest difficulties we face, is to council Christian girls who have become pragnant after being raped. I have been involved in one case like this.
Should such a girl, give birth to her child?
The question is yes. The child is innocent of the crime committed. The child should not be denied the right to live, because of the act of a vile and shamless man.
I adviced the woman to give birth, and promised to give her different kinds of support.
I do respect raped women, who take abortion after being raped. It was their decission. But I can not promise them forgiveness for this sin. I can simply not find permission to do so in the Word of God.

We might not like this, and even refuse to accept that God do act like this. But He does. If you know God, and plan to murder your child. Do not do it. If the Pope says you will be forgiven, do not believe him. He is the man of lawlessness.

I believe you do not want to understand the differnce between the sins of pagans and those of Christians. People who do not believe in Jesus are not consious about sin, and they can not plan to disobey God. You can. A Christian can sin by mistake. But to kill a child in the womb of a mother requires some planning. Only lawless people do this.

My reply:
I am glad you asked that question. Jesus explained that there is a sin that will never be forgiven. And that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. So we have to still fear God, post Jesus death and ressurection. We have to walk the narrow path, and make it through the narrow gate.
Jesus paid the atoning price for all sins. Past, present and future. That He has the power and authority to forgive all sins, do not include a promise to forgive all sins of people who do not obey Him. That is why people perish.
Jesus forgave sins before He died on the cross. But on the cross He also defeated death, and won an eternal redemption. His death and ressurection do not grant me a permission to purpusly going on sinning. That is my point in this artcile.
If you claim to obey Jesus, but plan to murder your child, do not believe that the Pope can grant you forgiveness. You will both be mocking God of the Bible.
