The Churches of England and Scotland have failed to win the hearts and minds of the young for several generations now, while numbers for the Catholic Church are really only holding up thanks to immigration.”

The numbers are more catastrophic than what the secular poll agencies are reporting. Because secular people can not understand the meaning of “false Christ’s”, and discern true from false Christianity.
The World has been largely ruled by Christians in the Reformed Christian world. Nations like the US, Canada, UK, Australia and the Scandinavia’s countries have always been portrayed as the light’s of the free world. Rejecting Catholicism, and escaping both Fascism and Communism. Since 1948 we have seen the state of Israel rise as the light in the Middle East, and a witness of the powers of the living God to the whole World.
In our generation we see threes nations walk back into paganism and love of money. Even Israel, where 70 per cent of the people are seculsr. Their fall from grace will be brutal. They walk right into the traps of the last and final antichrist.
We see the rise of totalitarian states. Like China, and the oil feed sultans of the Muslim World. Together they hold almost 3 billion people captive to atheism and Islam.

The Bible says that the age of democracy and nationalism is over. Evil men have removed the nations, and build larger unions of anti-democratic governance. A small elite run the office of power, contrary to the will of the people.
There will in the end of the age be 10 such unions, who will life one of the 10 leaders to the seat of the “supreme leader”. He will perform signs and wonders, and be hailed as the global “peace makers”. The multitudes that will worship him as their “Holy father” will have no fear of God. They have rejected the truth, and they will perish the day the Messiah returns as the Lion of Judah.
And the Lion of Judah is the same person as the Lamb of God. During His first coming, He can to save the world. At the end of the age of grace, He will return to judge the living and the dead.

Woodhead’s numbers lose touch with my everyday life in reality. The percentage of Christians worldwide increasing does not necessarily mean a decline of Christians in Europe. To top off her misleading numbers she heaps on another lie, saying that the church needs to be more secular. Since when is church supposed to be about our daily lives? The few times i’ve been to church that’s all they tried to do, twist everything into something “humanist”, something about us not God.
To quote the reformers of the 16th century. “As Christs kingdom is in heaven and leadeth men tither, the popes kingdom is of the earth and leadeth men to perdition”
So what she seems to be doing is attempting to box people into her secular mentality, or her secular mentaility doesn’t allow her to see outside the box.
I am always wary of what any secular people have to say about the faith, Ed. But I think Ivar is right that it is likely even worse than what she depicts because she wouldn’t understand the difference between true, Biblical Christianity and those who follow a false Christ. Between the cults on one hand (and I believe the RCC is the largest “Christian” cult in the world) and those who have rejected the word of God, as the foundation for the faith, there isn’t much left. Just yesterday, I read that the governing body of the United Methodist “church” has said that United Methodist pastors may now perform “marriage” ceremonies for homosexuals! But then, they have paid scant attention to the Scriptures for many years.
She probably is right but if she teaches people to equate things as she does they would be secular humanists. Christianity is in a decline, probably since the education system makes it a heresy to be religious, and if anyone wants to make a lot of money they either need a diploma or a special talent. Tv, media and computer games and all the things of the world distract people from religion. But it’s like she thinks religion should bend to the world, not vice versa. In the end all will bow to God.
Romans 14:11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'”
The saddest part of it all, is that there are so many Christians whose children and grandchildren are not practicing the faith–many have never even made a profession of faith. (Not sure what the status is of those who supposedly “made a confession of faith” as children, and then “lost their faith” when they became young adults.) I know so many older Christians who weep over their families as they face the prospect of being cutoff from their children and grandchildren forever.
Who knows, but it does say “those who preach will be judged more harshly”. So if it’s hypocrital preachers and priests who are driving people away it will probably be worse for them. God is good and fair and things will work out alright.
Luke 17:2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
Romans 14:3 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

Perhaps because he shows himself to be a hypocrite. Matt 23:4 “They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.” Or bore people out the door with long winded sermons rather than let others speak as people like to do 1 Cor 14:26 “When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.”
It is no secret how G-d warned of the Great falling away in the end of the age. It is heart breaking and also to be with the enemies of Israel..and against Allmighty G-d..but G-d said when they refuse the truth, HE would send a lie and they would believe the lie. breaks my heart and they won’t even listen, but become angry. every believe but the right one, all joined together as one. beside Catholic cults are now showing their heads have a fifferent bible, making the truth of G-d of non effect and it is a lie where they also change or add to it, accursed is the word G-d uses, not to mention Gen 12:3 tells us who else is cursed. . I think you’re right, Ed. Likely one of the main reasons why so many young evangelicals have left the churches, is hypocritical legalism. One of the churches we used to attend was extremely legalistic (we didn’t stay there long) but the youth quickly fell away from the church (and ultimately, Christianity in general) when it was discovered that the pastor of that church was having an affair with one of the women in the church. In order to try to cover his sin, he fired the one person who knew what was going on. Her relatives spoke up at a church meeting–it was very explosive and very messy. That church has since then “evolved” into the Emerging false teachings. The pendulum swings between legalism to rejection of the Bible and then the church dies–as so many liberal churches are in the midst of doing now. Desperate to survive, many of them are not only excusing sexual sin but actually embracing it. Thus the United Methodist fiasco on homosexual “marriage”. Sad.
