The relics of Saint Theodore of Tyro is spread all over the world. But a skull and some bones is exposed in St. Nicolas Church in Brindisi in Italy.

One of the major challenges related to “St Theodor” is that there is a dispute related to his origin and life. He is both called Saint Theodore of Tyro, St Theodore Tiron of Amasea and St Theodore Stratelates of Heraclea. Most likely is this the same man, who died in and around 310 A.D, and was buried in the city of Euchaita. This was a Byzatine town inside todays Turkey, not far from Amasium. Another challenge is that his relics are spread over many nations, and located in several Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches.

One source says his head is in Italy, in the city of Gaeto. A church in Rome is dedicated to Saint Theodore, but there is also a shrine erected to his memory at Euchaita in Pontus. His relics are said to now rests in Venice and at the famed cathedral at Chartres, in France.

This greek Orthodox Church of America has a prayer request for all of us:
“We pray to St Theodore for the recovery of stolen articles”.

San Teodoro is a 6th-century church in Rome. It was dedicated to Theodore of Amasea and given to the Orthodox community of Rome by Pope John Paul II in 2004. At the back of the atrium, outside the church, is an ossuary with stacked skulls and bones, visible through a grille.

My comment:
The very idea of collecting bones and skulls of mortal and sinful men, is not only unbiblical. It is disguising and a morbid form of religiosity in the name of “Christ”.
When religious people see value in human remains like corpses, bones, and skulls, they obviously will end into disputes related to ownership. A dead man can not be brought to court, to fight for his right to rest in peace. (R.I.P). But Orthodox and Roman Catholic bishops can fight tooth and nails, over who is the rightful owner of such items.
Its worth noticing this Orthodox prayer:
“We pray to St Theodore for the recovery of stolen articles”
First of all: It is grave sin to pray to a departed soul, also Theodore. Second, only heaven knows what became the end of this man 1700 years ago. Since the Bible say there is only one mediator between men and God, a prayer to Jesus the Messiah is the only Christian prayer there is. Praying to other dieties, makes you a blapshemer and a pagan.
The third issue is, why there is a need for a “recovery”. Who care for skulls and bones?
The last issue is the thief’s. Who stole them? The Orthodox Church brand the Roman Catholic Church a religious organization, who has stolen their “holy items”.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
For all Evangelical Christian believers in the Jesus the Messiah, this kind of accusations and counter claims, mounts to religious insanity. In the name of the Romish and hellenistic “Christ”. You have to be completely blindfolded in spiritual matters, is you believe that this “skull and bones societies” will face anything but stern judgment and eternity in the fire of Hell.
Mark 13:6
Many will come in my name, claiming, “I am he,” and will deceive many.
If you belong to any of these religious institutions, please leave immediately. This kind of “Churches” are the breeding grounds for the antichrists among us. Men who make a mockery out of the true Christian faith.
Repent, and beg Jesus the Messiah for mercy. He loves all who love Him, and obey His commands.
