Russian president echoes Assad’s comments in explaining why Syria developed chemical arms; says cannot be 100 per cent sure Damascus will dispose of WMDs.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday echoed comments by Syrian President Bashar Assad suggesting that Damascus’ chemical weapons arsenal is in fact a response to Israel’s alleged nuclear project.
Speaking to journalists in Russia, Putin remarked that Syria’s chemical weapons were created as an “alternative” to Israel’s nuclear weapons. “Israel has technologic supremacy and does not require nuclear arms,” he said.

My comment:
Israel feels corned after Syria has promised to do away with its chemical weapons. Today Iran follow suit, and promise not to develop nuclear weapons.
It is interesting that Russia feels Israel has “technologic supremacy”, and therefor do not need nuclear arms. So if Lebanon by chance gets its hands on weapons better than Israel, the logic must be that Israel now can develop nuclear weapons.
Surely nuclear arms is the very sign of technological supremacy. Not a weapons to keep because a nations technological failures.
I wonder when Russia will abolish its nuclear arms? Will Putin do so, since Russia is more theological advanced than Nepal and Kirgizistan?
Since 1973, no Arab nation has attacked Israel. I pray Israel will continue to refuse to confirm or deny that the Jewish state has nuclear deterrent. It will keep the Arabs at bay.
