Israel bomb advanced Russian missiles in Syria

Israel carried out an air attack near Latakia, targeted advanced Yakhont antiship cruise missiles sold to the Syria government by Russia.

Russian cruise missiles can be captured by Islamic Jihad and turned towards Israel.
Russian cruise missiles can be captured by Islamic Jihad and turned towards Israel.

This is confirmed by American officials, claims New York Times. This missile represented a threat to Israel’s naval forces and raised concerns that it might be provided to Hizbullah.

Israeli officials have made it clear that Israel is prepared to carry out airstrikes to prevent sophisticated weapons from being diverted to Hizbullah.

The Yakhont antiship missile system is far more sophisticated than the one fired by Hizbullah in July 2006 that seriously damaged an Israeli ship off the coast of Lebanon.

My comment:

Do not be surprised. Israel will destroy Russian military property in Syria, when the weaponry sent from Moscow is about to be captured by Islamic forces.

In fact, Israel is doing Vladimir Putin a favor. Because advanced missiles in the camp of Islamic Jihad, will undermine the Syrian regime Russia is trying to protect from falling.

And if the Basher al-Assad regime falls, the Russian weapons will be used against Israel.

Soon both Israel and Russia will have to destroy advanced American weapons, that has already been gifted to the Islamic forces fighting inside Syria.

  1. There is nothing like a war to bring in money. Arms dealing is big business and while Russia and the US are happy to sell weapons to whoever, they win in a different way- war helps keep nations poorer, weaker, and unstable while the Russians and Americans get richer.. Most of the world’s billionaires hail from the US and second to them is Russia! The US supplies the Syrian rebels and Russia supplies the Assad Military.
