– The Easter Bunny has arrived early at the Vatican.
Pope Benedict XVI was presented Wednesday with an enormous, 250-kilogram (550-pound), 2.2-meter (7.2-foot) tall chocolate Easter egg by Italian chocolatier Tosca, which specializes in oversized cocoa confections.
The Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano said Benedict plans to donate the egg, which features the papal coat of arms, to a juvenile detention center in Rome.
In Italy, children traditionally receive a big chocolate egg with a prize inside on Easter Sunday.

To use eggs to explain Biblical truth’s is a sticky wicket. Because the origin of the adoration of eggs, is in Babylon. The eggs were adored as a fruit of the fertility of the snake “god”.
This is recorded on a Christian website:
“The egg was a sacred symbol among the Babylonians. They believed an old fable about an egg of wondrous size which was supposed to have fallen from heaven into the Euphrates River. From this marvelous egg – according to the ancient story – the Goddess Astarte (Easter) [Semiramis], was hatched. And so the egg came to symbolize the Goddess Easter. (Ishtar).
The Bible has one verse about egg’s, that exposes falsehood:
They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.
When Jesus speaks about brood of vipers, do not forget that the serpent reproduce in the form of eggs.
“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?
Do not let this kind of Roman Catholic paganism enter your house.
