The outpouring of a false Holy Spirit’ started the day Jesus died on the cross. The first false “Christ’s” where gnostic copies of the Messiah, who false teachers tried to launch into the body of Jesus.

When you see this testimony of Heidi Baker, there is a lot of talk about “power”, and the need to feed the children. Miracles and wonders is also highlighted.
Good: Nobel work is done even by atheists and secular people. Their zeal and power often give spectacular results.
But do they also represent God of the Bible?
Be aware, that in this message from Heidi Baker there is no talk about sin. No call for repentance. There is not a single line spoken about the true meaning of the atoning death of the Messiah on the cross. Why He shed His blood for our sins.
Heidi Baker present the “blood of Jesus” as the “cup of suffering and joy”. That is not the cup from Calvary hill, not the blood of Jesus of the Bible.
It is amazing that people buy this message, and want to include Heidi Baker in to the family of Christianity. She fits perfect into any New Age Ministry, where “God” is presented as an electric power, who knock down people are freezes them for hours. Heidi Baker claims she was knocked down with a BOOM, and laid frozen on the floor for tree hours.
This is a demonic force, not the Holy Spirit. The helper and advocate do not come to burn, trouble, cripple or disable the saints. He comes as a comforter, and humble person who will guide us and help us. He will convince us of sins, and call us to repentance. He will motivate us and inspire us to follow the example of Jesus the Messiah.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law.
When people lose self control, behave like mad, disturb and scream, you can be sure a demonic force is manifesting it self in the flesh.
Do not ever, not even for a second, accept this to be fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Rebuke and lock down such manifestations. And thrown this kind of unclean spirits out of the persons who carry them into Christian Fellowships.
There must be someone among you who have been given the gift of deliverance. If not your Christian fellowship is going to fall into deception.

Heidi Baker has been coming to my Church for years! In Mozambique, Africa that is where her ministry is! She has started 10,000 Churches and houses and feeds thousands of orphans every day. Right now she has 1200 missionaries over there, including my brother! The woman is a modern day Mother Theresa and the presence of God is all over her! Shame on you for spreading lies and tearing her to pieces on spiritual matters you know nothing about!

To those who are against Mama Heidi, I will leave you with one question; do you know her personally? Have you spent time with her, suffering in the bush? Do you know what the fruits that come out of her are?
I don’t know anyone who spends as much time in the prayer closet, reading the Bible and talking to her Papa as Heidi. She has MILLIONS of dollars pass through her hands every year, and yet she chooses the life in the slums with the children. When she comes over for conferences, she has exactly 2 conditions; that she gets to worship with the people who are there, and she gets given water.
The kind of fruit that manifests in her are all in the Bible; I don’t know anyone who is so full of love, joy, kindness, patience etc. And the signs and wonders of her ministry verify that it is a move of God. The message of her life is intimacy with Jesus, not a circus of the supernatural as many of her opposition slander her for. You guys love to talk about the Bible so much, and use out of context Scripture to manipulate people into believing that they are wrong, to justify and understanding of God in your box of reasoning. Well, entertain me, and show me where in the Bible you think goes against what Mama Heidi is doing.
Just out of curiosity, what exactly what does this ministry do? Looking around, it looks like it is another hate site of all that’s wrong with the church (some, which I don’t disagree with), instead of preaching the Kingdom to the lost. Did Jesus tell us to judge His bride? Or to go and love imperfect people into the Kingdom?

You are correct about the Baker’s deception. However what makes them so dangerous is the very ministry that the other who have commented on have lauded so highly.

The Baker’s may have orphanages but their are not enough of them to begin to meet the staggering number of children that their ideological position has caused to be cast out of their own communities. The childish belief in demons is creating refuge camps of children and elderly single women who are believed to be witches and possessed by demons. It’s literally insane as these are the individuals that gospel teaches us to care about most passionately.
I don’t think the Baker’s do this harm our of malicious intent but rather out of sheer ignorance and a genuine desire to do good, but almost all evils are born of a perverse desire to make the world a better place.

Rolland’s the true one and the reason for everything good in that ministry, especially since Heidi is rebellious against the propriety in worship verses of the Bible that Paul said needed to be done for the sake of the angels. She needs to understand that Rolland is her covering to correct anything that she might say wrong any time she prophesies. I’ve heard her say some good things that were spoken against and I’ve heard her say bad things that everyone else loved. Rolland told me what I needed to hear when I needed to get back on track with Jesus in SC and Heidi was nowhere around: they’re supposed to be a husband and wife team, and Heide travels miles to the West to tell the church here about how she’s suffering in the west in the bush when a lot of blessings flow through that ministries hands like drills for wells and if she’s suffering in the bush and being bitten by spiders that’s her fault. And if there are wells drilled in that land then there’s plenty of clean water she doesn’t need to ask the church in the west to get water. she’s not being self-sacrificial but stupid. I didn’t have to see Jesus in that vision to know that that word was for everyone and she’s disobeying she wants everyone to believe she’s obeying. Think about how what she’s doing would be sinful in God’s eyes. It’s called asceticism historically in the book of Colossians (touch not, taste not, handle not, etc.) written by Paul to deal with a variation of Gnosticism afflicting that church. I’m wondering if this is like the second century when Gnostics tried to claim apostolic authority by giving their lying documents names of famous born again believers so everyone would believe they were inspired but intended to destroy the core of the truth that brings salvation to those who know the truth: such things as eternal hell, justice, mercy, faithfulness, and God’s love. If Jesus didn’t come in the flesh then He didn’t really suffer on the Cross, His blood is a figment of the imagination and has no power to save anyone, and there is a host of other things people will come to believe through their writings that seem so noble and worthy and when it works to give people an appearance of holiness people think it’s the truth; the truth is the devil leaves them alone and doesn’t tempt them anymore because if they want to look holy it is to his advantage because he can propagate his lies looking like they’re righteous. Have ye never read (as Jesus would say) that satan himself is transformed as an angel of light; how much more shall his ministers be transformed as ministers of righteousness. Hello Ivar, I don’t know what your reaction has been to my post but I just want to send a comforting word your way if satan is heaping condemnation on you because of my words. 2 Corinthians 2:8-11 and 2 Corinthians 7:8-11 speak of what I hope has been your reaction to them. Now I am getting older and my memory of scriptures in the tanach are waning, but I believe there was a certain king to whom the priests read the law of God and that king repented in sackcloth and ashes and the judgment on God’s people was delayed until another king arose, or perhaps it was two kings later, I don’t remember. The point being that our attitude when confronted by sin when we are properly responding to the Holy Spirit would be to weep over such a sin and even begin to bawl extensively over what you have done. If you have had this reaction, then He has not ceased striving with you, or if you will have this reaction in the future (not worked up in the flesh but genuine repentance), then He has not ceased striving with you and it is possible for you to be forgiven. God will call your sin something other than “blasphemy against the Holy Ghost” on that day. I do believe that you have spoken against what you do not understand…the point of what happens in these revivals is that God is doing a counter-move to all of the witchcraft that takes away the freedom of His own saints to healthily express their emotions the way He created them to. He has decided in His sovereignty to override by force the power of satan that is keeping these saints in bondage, and the deep hurts that are in these people’s hearts are most definitely expressed in ways that are judged by the natural man. Being able to do these things without restraint is true freedom for these people. I have been a victim of mental illness caused by witchcraft and will very likely carry the stigma of this till the day I die. I understand what I know the Holy Spirit is doing for these people because I have been there. People are placed in basic prisons (called mental health centers or mental hospitals depending on the nation) and if they express any kind of grievance at sin they are injected with soul-killing drugs that cause great spiritual pain from feelings of condemnation because they have been spiritually raped by the witchcraft that was forced upon them in those places, they are actually forced through conditioning to commit the sin of witchcraft willingly (or so they think) because the system makes sure that if they don’t continue with the chemicals, taking them by mouth every day, they will be imprisoned again and placed in a more unpleasant situation than before, which lasts longer every time and the sinful things placed before them through television (because they also take in people who are comforted by the witchcraft and delight in looking upon those sins. Demons usurp access through the consented taking of those drugs which they are conditioned to take for the rest of their lives under threat of the law (see Psalm 119:69). A side note that has come to mind: the fruit of the Spirit in our lives replaces the law as the governing factor according to scripture: it is an inward writing of the law of God on the hearts of men through the indwelling Holy Spirit which replaces the outward condemnation of the letter and sets free those who are given the capacity to express their emotions this way and also walk according to love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control. They are in full control of their faculties unless the Holy Spirit has to take control of something in their bodies to make it unpleasant and even unbearable for the demonic forces that are controlling them (because they have lost control when the Spirit takes control. Once the Holy Spirit has done His job of ridding them of those satanic bondages, He will fill them if they ask Him to and thus these people have perfect liberty to do as they please, which if God is dwelling in their hearts what they please is to “go and sin no more”. Jesus has come to set the captives free, not only those who are in physical prisons, but those who are held captive to drugs and addictions which were forced on them while in specifically named physical prisons, which look different on the inside and men ae deceived because of something they saw on a television shoe that most Americans remember that had Ron Howard as Opie and you know that sherrif guy who kept the drunk in jail, where he was happy, and anyway, that’s what prison and jail cells look like, not what people see inside these closed walls that may have comfortable beds and decorations pleasing to the eye, but which do not negate the spiritual and physical suffering that is inflicted by “mental health workers” within those walls. And why do people go for this? because people who are about justice and righteousness of the Bible are hated if they lift up their voice and the effect of these drugs is to squelch our voice because we know what it says in Matthew 7:1-6, that we have to take the beam out of our own eye before we can see clearly to take the speck out of our brothers eye. When a person gets the Spirit of truth through repentance and long hours of absorbing the revelation of scripture, he is considered dangerous by the enemy of all living things, the adversary because the Spirit of truth is the giver of clear vision(s).

And the hated people (to finish a previous thought) are not hated anymore as long as they don’t say anything about their faith and when they feel condemnation over their own sin they are even as unbelievers who refrain from proper judgment (Philippians 1:9, KJV) because they do not ever want to be judged. Nevertheless there is a Great White Throne Judgment coming upon which Jesus Christ will sit along with the 24 elders who represent all the saints who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and all of whom will take part in the judgment of all who never knew the Lord, and whom the Lord never knew.
When people are imprisoned and forced to do things that invite demonic activity if they even express any kind of emotion that indicates they are disturbed by what they see on the television (some of which are taped moves that are replayed for this purpose) they are considered mentally unhealthy by psychology when the opposite is true: true mental health is defined by grievance of the heart when faced with wickedness in its rawest forms, such as the murder which I was forced to watch (supposedly the man with the tatoos had a possibility of escaping the swinging pendulum that eventually split his stomach open causing blood to pour out, after his wrists were trapped by a mechanism so he could not ever really have a chance of getting out of the contraption designed to have a 100% chance of killing the victim, at the beginning of one of the SAW movies and the attempted axe murder displayed in psycho. We are told that these things are not real and have become deluded by this lie (2 Thessalonians 2:11) propagated by the showing of impossible things over the television screen which we think of as “special effects”. People must be insane themselves to think that the blood coming out of people’s bodies in some of these movies are actually pig’s blood splattered over them made to look like they are really bleeding. These kinds of movies were made before computer imaging technology and there are not enough actors in the world for all of these movies to be acted out rather than lived out under the eye-spy of hidden cameras and micro-micro-phones; and technology is reaching the point where time travel will become possible soon if it has not already happened in secret places of the government; and I also once read in a book that was originally placed in non-fiction section but the book store owner told me that he put it in the science fiction section where I found it when he sold it to me, a guide to time travel and how it would develop, that had two copyright dates on it. It told of the secret of time travel which I revealed momentarily in a book I authored under the pen name of John Calvary entitled Hitler’s Bane. I don’t know why I’m saying all of this, it probably seems like I’m ranting and raving but the Spirit of God I’m thinking has a specific purpose in this as it is a part of the testimony that I hold of my experience, by which I know that I shall overcome satan and all of his powers, whom I will overcome also with the blood of the Lamb and the fact that I have not loved my life and will not love it to the death although I am content and happy in my current living situation with my wife and kitty. Was very tired tonight and did that very lazily without putting much effort in, I know that probably what I wrote looks out of whack but what can you do when there is an urgency to write something for a specific purpose (of preventing the devil from winning over someone through feelings of condemnation) and you know you are not going to sound right or look right but you know the message is important–every word. I think what I meant to say was that God doesn’t consider mistakes to be sins and what I know I did write which now appears to be gone is that God looks at sin as being a heart issue so of course Jesus didn’t have to die for what He doesn’t consider to be sin. Thank You and Praise You Lord.

I’ve seen this happen before in private when I could edit it later. Now that is true insanity, whoever he is! he will not be truly revealed until that event takes place; so do what you can to make sure the people in charge of building it may put in hidden cameras trained on the mercy seat so the world will be watching unbeknownst to him and we will be able to flee, if we are in Judea at the time, to the rock city of Petra where there is a generous storehouse of food and water provided for Israel by Gentile saints who have gone to be with Jesus as far as I know. if you don’t believe Heidi is not a woman of God why don’t you preach the gospel and stop wasting your time trying to prove to people what you believe. most of the things you are saying are just unnecessary. you could have used this time build others in love. the word says we must say what builds. You must be spending time building the Body of Christ. It is better to listen to Mama Heidi’s videos because they build me up in Christ and they make me to want to know Christ and love you and others more. My brother I love you but please my brother use this opportunity to preach Jesus Christ. Argument is like dust and it causes offense and hate and that is not what we are as the body and the bride of Jesus Christ. Instead pray for the apostles the teachers, pastors, prophets and evangelist to speak what Jesus speaks…so we may grow all of us in one maturity and one faith as the body of Christ.

Welcome back. I am a reasonable man. I will permit you to write, as long as you participate in the debates. Please defend your views using scripture. The debate on women’s role in the Church is important. You might be surprised when you find me to be a liberal on this issue.
My point was more that she was obviously lying, making up stories. Not even to get into the women’s role in the church issue. Whenever people make up stories it weakens the credibility of the church, weakens the faith people might have particulary since we are told that someone died and was raised from the dead as the Son of God, who will someday come back and raise us from the dead. They were teaching this as the truth and asked that we.
Romans 16:18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
And there are even more verses telling people not to let yourself be deceived. Which brings us to the question, Are women more easily deceived?

As far as I know, New Wine and friends (Heidi Baker, Bill Johnson…) are winning ground even in our Scandinavian countries.
I feel sad for Baker. She is obviously very zealous and committed. But the question is – committed to what?
She admits at one point to having had second thoughts (about the ‘apostolic anointing’), but then the ‘power of god’ overwhelms her, and she seems to forget her reservations.
The problem whith these people and these movements, is that they value the ‘power/anointing/presence/glooory’ more than the authority of Scripture!
I listened to Bill Johnsons testimony as well, and he says people can just walk into their church, and be ‘struck’ by the atmosphere – there isn’t even a need for any preaching…
But what does the Bible say?
It says salvation comes by hearing the Word of God preached.
And it says it’s the truth – not the ‘presence/atmosphere’ – that shall set us free.
When Heidi describes how she during one conference was so paralyzed, she couldn’t even go to the bathroom by herself, I was reminded by a friend of what happens in the ‘Oneness’ Movement: Adepts are ‘blessed’ whith the deeksha/ oneness blessing, and are as a result sometimes turned into paralyzed zombies, who cannot take care of themselves…

And which spirit is at work? The Holy Spirit of God, or a false, Kundalini spirit?

I agree- it does sound horrible- but it is a bit more understandable when you read Matthew 26:26 “While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
Amazing..I heard the same words Heidi Spoke and they bothered me so much!! I’ve come out of the false apostolic network and back to the Bible and the true gospel. In all the places I’ve been..Noone heard about sin..moved to repentance to get right w God.m saved etc…we sat on carpet soaking in the music or got impartations. It’s so dangerous and fooled me for years. Very evil and decieving!! Satan knows his job. We need real Jesus..real gospel and real Holy Spirit…all based on the word of God. Thank you soooo much. I will answer your question. From my personal experience and knowledge: The holy spirit is part of the trinity, God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. And yet, the Holy Spirit is God, and Jesus Christ. The three are one. The first time I felt the Holy Spirit guide me to tell a woman who was having problems, that Jesus Christ loved her, was a remarkable experience. Words cannot explain the love Christ has for you, when you feel it. It’s amazing.

I have been a long time follower of your site, and have encouraged many to check it out. You have done a wonderful job of exposing certain issues that most are blind to.
However, this article is one that either lacks understanding (which I honestly believe), or exposing your motives.
You even gave a verse that defines the very makeup of who Heidi Baker – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law.”
Have you met her? Have you been to the deepest parts of the bush and witness her ministry and the fruit of her ministry? Have you talked with people that have gone out there on small mission trips, or with those who have been a part of her three month school?
I have, and there is no way anyone who has would question her motives or whether this is “Demon” invoked, or God.
What is the difference between you and the “Anyone” in Matt 12:32? You opened your article with “replace God with Demon”.
Heidi brings in small villages at a time to Christ. When she goes into a village and brings all the sick and blind to the front and prays over them – do you believe this is staged? Let’s even pretend for a moment that it is. Then she, through translators speak the gospel and brings majority of villages to Christ. You’re saying this is the work of a Demon?
Her work with Children is to mother them, and give them a bed to sleep on. 80-90% of the children she is giving shelter and food cannot fully comprehend what Jesus did for us.
I encourage you to go deeper into your work before claiming sons and daughter of Christ are false or demonically influenced. Taking sound bites and interpreting them through your lenses has led to these type of articles. You have said it yourself have many times quoted 2 Cor 11:14. Do you not think that the enemy is well aware of what Heidi Baker is accomplishing and going out of his way to disrupt her “identity” in peoples eyes?

I have not met Heidi Baker. Neither have I met the Pope. Still I would like to comment on their theology. When Heidi Baker puts up a video, she must accept that her public and global message will be commented.
I do not care how many thousand people she has helped. Buddhists and even Islamic groups like Hamas and Hizb’Allah has solid accounts for social work and humanitarian aid. So also the Roman Catholic Church, when Mother Theresa of Calcutta is in the process of being “beautified”.
In regards to the testimony of Heidi Baker, I have highlighted some few points.
1. Demons do give people electric shock’s, and paralyze people. Demons also make people loose control, and behave more or less like mad.
The Holy Spirit do not.
2. The blood of Jesus, is not the cup of “suffering and joy”.
The blood of Jesus is shed as the atonement for sins. And absolutely nothing else.

What do you think of her vision of ‘Jesus’ ripping off a piece of flesh from his side (!?), and telling Heidi to feed this to the children?
What do you think of her involuntary, spasmic jerks, and utterances?
And her story of how she was paralyzed for a week (at a Catch the Fire conference) ‘by the spirit’, so that she could not even go to the bathroom by herself – they had to carry her!

I feel confused. Can i ask, do you believe that God DOES heal us today ? Also if she had ‘just’ been paralysed for a week, that would probably be demonic, but actually, sisnt she say that God was teaching her something important; her dependence on the church as a body- and isnt that scriptural ? And didnt it lead her into enacting that out later in her life ? Doesnt God teach that way ? Like the person in the bible that God told to lie on his side for many, many days, as a traching/ praying point ? And what of one of the prophets being told to tip the big jar of something to the east and west and Jesus saying to peter with the belt around his wrists, ‘When you were younger you went as you pleased, but when you are older,so will you be led’ as it was Heid being taught something valuable about the church, it seems a bit different….. also, I thought that they really DID preach the gospel and bring the Jesus film to all the different villages…. does EVERY healing have to be demonic- do you believe that God heals people at all these days ????? Heidi Baker…if you heard her full story, you would know that she was truly traumatised by the realisation of her sinfulness and need for repentance. She ran, devastated, in floods of tears, down to the front of a church the first time she heard the full Gospel – crying “I’m a sinner, I’m a sinner!” People were telling her to shush!
She was 16 years old at the time, and from that moment her heart and life belonged totally to the Lord.
For you to assume she does not preach repentance of sins because she doesn’t mention them specifically in this talk above is like saying “I’m going to listen to a talk about apples. If the speaker doesn’t mention oranges, clearly she does not believe oranges exist”.
She jerks and speaks in short bursts of ‘Tongues’ from time to time because she is utterly saturated with the presence of the Holy Spirit, in ways most of us can only dream of. She also says that she chooses to intersperse her teaching with occasional Tongues as she doesn’t like to not be communing directly with Jesus at any given time. This way, she can do it even while she is speaking to us. This makes sense to me!
You say: ‘When people lose self control, behave like mad, disturb and scream, you can be sure a demonic force is manifesting it self in the flesh.’ What about Acts 2:15 when the believers seemed drunk to outsiders?
And does she really ‘behave like mad, disturb and scream’?? When, can you tell me? The only time she did this as far as I know is when she was repenting, as I’ve mentioned in my first paragraph…! 😉
‘A tree will be known by its fruit’ (Luke 6:44) – the fruit of Rolland and Heidi Baker’s lives, again, is beautiful, and in line with Jesus’ work on earth, to an extent most of us can only dream of. Huge, huge sacrifices. Please read her autobiography ‘Always Enough’.
I’ve listened to many of her talks, and know people who have visited and stayed with Iris Ministries in Mozambique, and they can see her 100% dedication to the Lord.

Ivarfjeld: I have seen many videos of HB and have listened very carefully. I hear HB tell how faithful she is, how holy she is , how humble she is, how much she loves Jesus. I hear the gospel of Heidi Baker. I have seen the manifestations of another spirit and heard her credit the Holy Spirit with all this craziness. It is such a mixture of uncrucified flesh and counterfit spirts that it should be obvious to believers that this is not a witness of Jesus Christ. I don’t know anything about her work in mozambique, I only know what I see and hear from her and I know that she is deceived. I don’t think that she is deceiving anyone, because the people who think she is the next thing to God are already deceived. In fact it seems to me that anyone who hasn’t seen the great deception of today is already deceived. The only safety for any of us is in losing our lives, in embracing His cross. He said if we don’t lose our life and leave all then we have no part in Him. We can “love Jesus” because it makes us feel good about ourselves, we can desire to “be good” because it makes us feel good about ourselves, etc. In the end we can become so deceived that we leave the true Christ and follow the false christ and not even know that we have done it. It must be ALL about Him, not about us and our ego. Peter talked about how much he loved the Lord, and look how he forsook him. John knew how much Jesus loved him. John was at the cross. Thank you for speaking the truth about this matter. When John the Baptist sent a man to ask Jesus if he was the Messiah, Jesus pointed to his miracles and his testimony. That’s THE POWER AND THE WORD. Jesus told his disciples they should go and preach the Gospel the same way he did, healing the sick and raising the dead etc.
If you don’t have the same POWER AND WORD working in your ministry, I think it best you examine your own theology before you criticize someone who does.

Some people do not want to hear a warning and will continue to sin against the Holy Spirit by saying that the Spirit at work in and through Heidi is demonic, they think when they open their mouths against a man or woman of God they are only talking about them, no, no, no, their not. They are talking against the Holy Spirit in them and that sin will not be forgiven them. This is the words of Jesus our Saviour,you can be sure they will say something about this. God is love. If “they” are talking about the holy spirit, YOU are likewise making a statement about the holy spirit.
What is certainly clear, is that there is a spirit at work, everyone agrees on that.
The question then follows; WHAT spirit?
if Heidi has the holy spirit then, yes “they” have spoken against the holy spirit.
But by taking the opposite position, you are implying that the Holy Spirit is responsible for manifesting the behaviours in Heidi. If indeed these manifestations are by an unclean spirit, then YOU have blasphemed the holy spirit, by ascribing demonic manifestations to the holy spirit.

Hi!! I got really suspicious when I went to a meeting with Heidi Baker so I contacted local christians in northern Mocambique to hear what they had to say about her and Iris ministries.
They have another story to tell about their “good works” in this former portuguese colony. Infact they are even saying that HB and Iris is giving christianity bad credit. That was very sad to hear.

I have contacted Iris ministries with several e-mails about their
alleged claims made in the documentary “riches of the poor”.
They claimed that they have started up at least 5000 churches and raised 60! persons from the dead and that they have the best school in the whole country in the capital of Maputo.
I just asked a couple of questions about this.

I once met a man who collected money to Church planters in the Charismatic movement. He told a fellowship in Norway, that one of the Churches he had planted was in the village where I live in India.
Lead by Jesus, I also ministered to this fellowship in Norway, and heard the story.
When this Charismatic self-styled pastor was confronted to pin-point this Church in my village, or give a local reference, He backed out. Just another con-man who steel and rob from the mission budgets of the Churches.
So the Christians that you contacted in Northern Mozambique believe what ivarfjeld does- what does this mean though? Simply that they believe one way and Heidi believes another I guess. People are always saying “this denomination/person gives Christianity a bad name” but usually that said denomination is saying that about others!
I know several people who have gone overseas to help out with Iris Ministries and have heard nothing but amazing stories. So I guess it is a matter of opinion/belief.

There are actually many bible verses, when very narrowly interpreted, point towards the fact that the gift of miraculous healing does not exist today. But what conflicts for me is that I have seen and heard so many healings, not just on TV. I had several physical issues that were healed in one night when someone prayed over me. My friend had scoliosis and was healed from that in one night. I have seen those in wheelchairs get up. A friend of mine has experienced someone who was blind see. Someone with cancer cured. This was not questioned until someone decided to combat my belief in healings. So I’m just wondering if anyone could explain the miraculous healings that go on today, even if it seems that they don’t exist.

God has never changed. The same Jesus of the Bible who cured and healed people is the same who casts out demons, heal the sick, and more. I disagree that there are Bible verses that say healing does not exist today.
I have had (2) doctors ( who told me that my son had kidney problems, and when the morning I visited the 3rd doctor, I continued to pray. And the doctor comes in after taking tests, and said my son is okay, he has nothing in him and was perfectly healthy. I said, “Thank you Jesus.”
Mark 16:17-19
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

But we must always look to Jesus. Because Satan is a deciver and a copy cat. He will try to do things, including lying wonders, to deceive many.

The issue of healing goes directly on the nature and character of Jesus. He healed 10 men with leprosy. Only one was believer enough, to come back and thank Him, the supreme and ultimate healer.
I am constantly healed. There is not a day, there are no hostile bacterias in my body. I am healed from sicknesses I did not even now I had. And it is likewise with non-believers.
Since non-believers also face miracles and healing, some of the most deceptive preachers today are “faith healers”. They present non sense doctrines, and gives thanks to “a Jesus”. In their millions, people are deceived. Some of these preachers are representing the fleshy prosperity gospel. They loot people for money, who feel that healing must be purchased from “god”.
Healing is a part of the order of the creation, a free gift from Jesus the Messiah. We have been given a body that in 95 per cent of the examples of sicknesses, heals it self. Jesus is so good to mankind, that billions of people who have never heard about Him, is healed by Him.
For about five percent of known sickness, the body is not able to heal it self. Than Jesus can provide healing, or He can freely chose to do not. But If He calls me home to heaven today, He will most likely take me home by a brief illness. My soul must be disconnected from this mortal body, one way or another. And if He wants me to be on Earth till I am 90 years old, my body will surely decay and become weak well in advance of such a high age.
Praise Jesus who is my provider and my healer. He knew my entry, and surely only He knows the time of my exit, and the events that will take me home. Amen.

I think its the words of a man who won’t admit his own lack of faith is the problem!
People often forget that the healing done in Jesus’ day was to authenticate His ministry at the Messiah of Israel. The Apostles were given the gift to heal in the name of Jesus also, but by the time of Paul’s later letters, there are instances where it appears to have subsided. Trophimus was left by Paul in Miletus sick, for example.
The Scripture portray a three-fold redemption process for man by the grace of God. 1. The spirit is justified through repentance and trust in Jesus the Messiah. 2. The soul is redeemed and sanctified by “the washing of the Word”…growing in the knowledge of God through Scripture study and fellowship with other believers (preferably mature believers) and regeneration brought by the Holy Spirit which is given to every believer upon repentance and faith. 3. The body will ultimately be redeemed through the resurrection or rapture.
You will hear none of this in Heidi’s teachings.
Another interesting thing I have noticed while researching these people is that almost always THEY are the ones being glorified in the end for their “great works”…NOT Jesus. You really hear this in the objections by their defenders when they are reacting to anyone who may have the chutzpah to question the validity of these individual’s ministries. It’s mainly platitudes and demagoguery sprinkled with a few Scripture torn from their context.

Those who believe in the theology of John MacArthur takes this position. My best guess is, that they have not or do not exprecience healings. I belive the gifts of the Holy spirit where not only for the Apsotles, and gifts that sould cease to exist on the face on the Earth, 30-40 years after Jesus ascended into Heaven. The Messiah was replaced by the Holy Spirit, to be with us forever.
I beleive healings are available for all. Not only Christians. I belive in a personal relatipnship with the Messiah, where he answer prayers. He do heal. In fact, He heals whoever He wants, for His own purposes. And there are people around us who have the gift of healing.
That some of the workers take credit for healings and the work of the Messiah, is an interesting but different topic. There also are people who fake healings, and there are false miracles presented as true.
Alex….your post saddens me…yet thrills me for the joy that you are about to have if you continue to follow The Word God….for I too remember when I was at the ‘Valley of Decision’ ..or Crossroads…which ever you want to call it…seeing all that the ones around me says, healings, miracles etc…what the TV people say and say they do….and then in the quiet of my own time with The Word of God…it said entirely different (at times) to what others say,…Ohh the nights I’d run to His Word and cry…They say and Your Word says…and I’d even tell the Preachers the same…the Word says this but you say this and they’d tell me..He means this …oh the frustrations….then one day… as I pray that day will be very soon for you…I chose to believe His Word …no matter what others says..if it was in agreement with The Word of God then I chose to believe it…EVEN when my own body did not receive the healing I wanted or the things in my life to change the way I wanted …I chose to believe Him anyway…and continued on in the situations and circumstances I was in…whether it was sickness, lack financially and/or favor in the world….Bottom line…I took the attitude ”If God is for me, then I have more than I need”…..After all isn’t that what Jesus said to us…? He tells us ‘don’t let the voices confuse us, trust in Him with all your spirit, soul and strength.

The Word is its own authority; it states very clearly that males and females of humankind are equal in the eyes of God.; and that The Church is to be governed by male elders. Male eldership is only an issue for those who question Scripture.
I’ve been the teaching elder of small body who have suffered because they hold to the clear teaching of the Word (including the five-fold ministry). We have been pushed aside by the secessionists because we believe in the gifts and by the the charismatics who cannot tolerate our stand on women elders.
Heidi Baker has been messing up my safe little place. I was hushed into silence when I saw the miraculous in her ministry – and the fervency of her life. But, I am constantly reminded of Scripture, “I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet”.
I’m pleased to have come across some people who are wrestling with this issue.

The Truth of God stands forever; never changes. We try to filter and change the Truth when it doesn’t coincide with our particular moment or experience. Jesus, the Lord. calls us to submit to the Word. “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them”. True worship is about Him; not about me or my incorporating my experience or what others are doing and calling that the Presence of God; or the Work of God.
I live in South Africa … I unconditionally gave my life to Jesus during a supernatural experience when he revealed Himself to me, on the Cross, as my desperately needed Saviour … I am now 54 and have had many supernatural experiences and a life as unconventional (even more so!) as my salvation was.
I can tell from your writing that your heart and soul have never been shattered for those broken, despised, desperately needy ones whom Jesus loves … I can tell that you have never felt that you were dying from lack of truly knowing Jesus … And I am not sure what it is that I can tell that you can so easily trash, on the basis of heresay, someone like Heidi Baker.
Islam (the spirit, NOT the people) is a huge threat – especially in Africa. Do you know that their biggest obstacles to Christianity are our division and eagerness to hurt each other?
As a student of the Word, you are familiar with Jesus’ command that we Love each other, and how powerful it will be if we do. And I refer you to what Paul recommends to us in 1 Cor 12:31 as ‘a more excellent way’ … please … Choose the Way of Love and you will change the World!

If a ministry has hurt you. I am sorry. I was hurt by many Christian, I am still one. And I forgive them. I do not walk in my bitterness, I do not want to see them hurt. I ask God to judge between us and I am living life in freedom.
If the Christians hurt you, I am so sorry. If life has broken you, I am sorry. You speak out of so much pain and I have been there. The hope of this world is not found in looking at every negative, evil, wicked thing and judging the whole world and every one it by these evil acts. Neither will we find only good, wonderful kind deeds to speak of. The hope of this world is, that God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son (JESUS) that whoever believes in him, (that he died in your place for your mistakes, wrongs, sins and aask him to forgive you and accepting him in your heart) you will not pperish (in the hell, designed for the devil and his demons and not for men who have a choice in accepting Jesus who ALONE can save them from the fires of hell)but have everlasting life. The hope of this world is that, Jesus is coming back! Acts 1 vs 11 ” Men of Galilee, ” they said, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you innto heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.
Allover the world there is a great need for people who care, who love God, who are genuine in their salvation, who walk in the true spirit of God to go and feed the hungry, help the orphan, take care of the widow and be the hands and feet of people in need. If Heidi Baker is a wolf in sheeps clothing them maybe some more “sheep” are needed to replace the wolves. Instead of wasting time trying to throwing mud, why don’t you get up and go and do it in the true sense. Why don’t you make that difference and show her up, nothing shows up what is false like a drop of true love.
Whether we see sin in someonelse life, or deception or demonic activity it is not our place to curse them but to pray for them and to love them as Christ loved his enemies. Reguardless,not one

To me you come off as someone who loves God a lot and is trying to help others in the way you can already, but I disagree with your article completely.
About Heidi’s message, her target audience when speaking in Western countries are churches and people who have heard about & accepted Christ already. When she speaks she only has about an hour to leave an impression so she leans on the pastor of the church to fill in the rest of the teaching a healthy Christian should encounter. She is trying to ignite a passion for reaching out to people who need God by first helping to cultivate a burning love for God. If there are non- Christians present she effectively drives them to a holy type of jealousy! ;D They can become intrigued and learn from the pastor there who would be more than honored to tell them of the beautiful Gospel.
Being part of the body of Christ we all have different jobs to do with different talents and abilities to do them with.
Back in Mozambique I am sure that since her target audience shifts to the unbelieving people, her message changes likewise.
If I am honest since I first heard of the work she does I was really amazed at what God does through people yet the fiery love she has for God made me feel uneasy. Honestly devoting your whole self to the will of God, for some reason, made me uneasy. Now I am accepting that God can only work through someone if they surrender their whole lives to him, even the part of themselves that wants to look & sound acceptable/respectable to everyone.

If you present a false Jesus, have been anointed with a deceptive spirit, and present a different gospel, it is wrong. Regardless if a million or so, will tell you how blessed you are. Jesus will have to tell a lot of people who claimed to serve “god’, even many who do miracles in the name of Jesus: – I NEVER KNEW YOU. Away from me, evil doers.

I still have problems understading your points. I believe in healing. I believe that Jesus can heal us from all sicknesses. My problem with Heidi Baker is her faith in “the gods”. We know that Satan has the power to perform miracles. So we need to be a litle bit careful, akcknowledging that false teachers tries to take us for a ride, even by the mircales they seem to perform.
I do not want to judge Heidi Baker. All I know is that I have watched many of her videos and I always have an uneasy feeling and the sense that something is weird. But when I watch other ministries that move in the power of God such as Paul Dhinakaran I do not feel this weirdness factor. I am not saying she is false, it’s just the way she presents herself really turns me off. In one video she is laying on the floor for the entire sermon; if I were an unbeliever and entered the room I would immediately run away. It also makes me uneasy that she has been connected with people like Ben Dunn who is a very strange character…this is the guy to takes tokes on an imaginary marijuana cigarrete and says it’s the Holy Spirit. But in fairness to her, I have read a couple of Heidi Baker’s books, and the books are much better and “normal” than seeing her on video…I don’t know, maybe it’s just the way she presents herself, but to me it weirds me out. I can watch Kathryn Kuhlman, and although she was very unique, I never feel that weirdness factor. Just my thoughts anyway. Ultimately it is the Lord who will sort all this out. There are things in life and in the Body of Christ that we do not understand, but I do feel we should pay attention when our inner witness is disturbed.
First off, does Heidi ever claim to be a “Christ” or “Messiah”? Absolutely not. She proclaims Christ to be her Savior and gives the gospel message at every outreach in Mozambique. Also, I’d be careful saying that her saying “the cup of joy and cup of suffering” is not the blood of Christ. It absolutely is the cup of joy because we now have joy because Christ took our sins upon Himself and the cup of suffering because 1) He died a gruesome death and 2) anyone that follows that Christ today is bound for suffering at least in certain parts of the world such as Mozambique. And speaking of humility, have you ever seen her speak at a conference or church or on a Sunday morning at the Iris church in Mozambique? She is one of the most humble and meek people you could meet that believes in Yeshua today. Be careful. I don’t want to write to argue, but I do want to bring to the light some things that were stated about Heidi Baker and/or Iris Ministries that were stated out of not knowing her or her ministry personally. I wish that before you wrote this article to the public, that you first read Iris Ministries statement of faith from their website:

Notice that the first point of their statement of faith is that they believe “the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.” Let’s look at the Word. Do you think that in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit enabled people with power at Pentecost, that certain people simply thought they were drunk with too much wine? Also, note that Joel 2:28 is quoted in that chapter of Acts saying: “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.” I believe (I’m not saying you do) that we are in the last days and that God is indeed moving among His people. However simply because God did something different among those disciples at Pentecost than what He had previously done, doesn’t mean that it was not the Holy Spirit. Clearly, this point proceeds into today. Just because the Holy Spirit does something that we’re not familiar with doesn’t mean it’s from a demon.
Also, please note that in Mark 3, Jesus was speaking and doing some extraordinary things that people were previously unfamiliar with. The religious leaders at that time also condemned him as driving out demons by the prince of demons. Blasphemy against our Meshiac will be forgiven, but not against the Ruach Hakodesh. We must watch carefully what we say against that part of the trinity my friend.
I’m sorry brother in Jesus, let me be the first to apologize on behalf of anyone that you might label as “charismatic” or “crazy” that has hurt you in the past in anyway. Every ministry, no matter where you are will have it’s lemon of the batch.

I lack the words to express how gutted I am to come across this website. I pray the eyes of the blind are opened to true salvation in Christ and his unconditional love for all his children. Let us not quarrel against our brothers and sisters who wholeheartedly spread the gospel of our incredible saviou Jesus. I pray this is not his plan for us. This is not a competition of who is Right and Wrong, but a chance to build each other up in our most holy faith in Jesus through the holy spirit. We are not bound by tearing each other down or jealousy. We are one body working together with our savior to see our friends come to know him and live in hiss fullness. Let the Bakers find truth in Jesus and bear fruit, for who are we to judge, only God had the authority to judge. If they fall short, Lord let them find repentance in you, and Lord I pray you would bless them as I would myself desire to be blessed. Lord I pray you would surround them with brothers and sisters to help guide them and encourage them to run the race you have given them. Lord I pray they would discover all you have for them in Christ Jesus and use them to make disciples of all Nations, baptizing them in you the Father, andcyour Son and your Spirit.

The more I read from the supporters of Heidi Baker, the more I know I have hit the nail on the head. You are not willing to take Bible believers seriously. You do not need the Bible. You are a law by your selves.

No matter how many good works a person does, (be it Heidi Baker or Mother Teresa) – if they preach another gospel, another Jesus, and operate in another spirit/anointing (whith false charismatic manifestations), than theh Holy Spirit, then it doesn’t matter how ‘nice’ they are.
The question must always be: do they love, hold fast to, and preach the truth?

They see countless healed and delivered of demons (and if they’re delivering demons how can the Prince of Demons drive out demons according to Mark 3:20-26?) Is this bad fruit?

You also cannot say that I, Sammy or Heidi Baker are in need of deliverance. There is a gift of discerning of spirits according to 1 Corinthians 12 but I can tell you that that gift is not used to tear down people or ministries but to build up of others, or at the most to gently warn them and invite them to repentance, but never to slam or slander people. That is not of God. Colossians 3:8 says “but now you must rid yourself of all such things as these:… malice..slander.” Colossians 3:12-14 continues to say, “Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.” According to these verses, Heidi seems completely in the right to me.

I will never believe in “a Jesus” who make “the Bakers” loose control of their senses. Who shakes like unclean Kundalini Hindu spirits, who give them electrical shocks, paralyses them, and give them non Biblical super revelations. This kind of different Jesus makes his followers follow false prophets, who anoint them with a false Holy spirit.

I have taken everything you’ve written into consideration and prayer, however I’m still skeptical that “the Bakers” are following a “false Messiah.” Keep in mind that weird and normal only fit within a framework of someone’s grid of understanding. Those who claimed that the disciples were drunk mocked them. They were not drunk. They were very much sane, and shared the gospel in languages not understandable to the mockers, who thought they were babbling. Like drunkards often do.
The presentation of the gospel must have been up to the mark. 3.000 people were saved and baptized in one day, by 120 students of Jesus.
During the so called Toronto revival, men around Kenneth Hagin mocks God by playing drunk.
Its difficult to see a sane person in the audience, during what was surely an outpouring of deception and lawlessness.
You should google, and look at the video’s available. Men acting like dogs, doing acts of sodomy. Kenneth Copeland laughs uncontrolled of the blasphemy in front of him,. The crowed rejoices, and many makes animal noises.
This kind of acts are not only stupidity. It is outright blasphemy against a Holy God. Please keep in mind that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven.
Keep away from such people, who have been anointed with unclean spirits. They claim this is the Holy Spirit, but it is not. It is the same spirit that are used by New Age’ers, the Kundalini spirit. The first anointed with these spirits, were ancient Hindu priests. Now these spirits spread like a cancer within Christianity, promoters by the supporters of Haigin, Copeland and Heidi Baker. Among others.

First: Good works can not save. Neither for the Pope, nor for Heidi Baker.
Second: Demonic powers presented as the “Holy Spirit” leads people towards the gates of Hell.
Third: We do a lot of good works on the other side of the Indian Ocean too.
Forth: The most important thing we do, is to preach the Gospel. We explain that the Holy Spirit is a wonderful councilor, not harming anyone, not paralyzing anyone, not leading people into sounding like animals, soaking in the spirits of the air.
Fifth: A lot of people who have encountered “The bakers” are in need of deliverance. One lady that did “the Shake”, and fell backward and over me, in a fellowship meeting, are now delivered and healed. We called her aside, canceled the false anointing, and set her free.
This young lady is now behaving with the elegance of Holiness, and do not give a bad testimony about a Holy God to people around her.
May Jesus the Messiah bring deliverance to all who walk in such false anointing, and also the false brethren that imparts unclear spirits on others. Amen.
Does the bible ever explain in detail what went on when Jesus spent time with God in prayer? No, because it was between him an God…the bible gives us a model of how to pray but not the words to pray – why? because he doesn’t want us to get caught up on the right words. What ends up hurting so many people and turning them away from God’s love is that there is alot of lack in what Hiedi Baker has…it’s a childlike faith. She knows the word and knows the scriptures, – people will know that we are his children by out love – this is what has gotten ahold of Heidi’s heart and …..this radical lover of our souls is working thru Heidi to set so many broken children free to love him back. Show me the dead being raised, don’t just believe it because she says so. As far as being slain in the Spirit, that is not always false. God dropped my husband down hard when he wasn’t even a believer, and spoke to him. Occasionally God does things that even you don’t expect.

Religion is the enemy of God. It is why Jesus came!! Read the NT and see how he gave the religious leaders of the time such a hard time, rebuking them, cursing them and even denying them and what they stood for….which was His Father!!! We twist the message of the Cross, and can even go to the point of completely abandoning it, although we love and follow and believe in Jesus. How do we do this? The issue of ‘works’ comes in and I really sense from listening to the video above and reading a lot of the comments posted, that the truth of the matter is still not being addressed. We feel we are not functioning in the fullness of the Spirit unless we are ‘experiencing’ His presense and performing ‘signs and wonders’. As you have just read…the word to be wary of is…performing. Even Heidi talks about having to go to seek after more of the ‘experience’ etc etc. Look, who am I? Noone special. Do I have a degree in theology? No. I haven’t started a church or raised someone from the dead. But one thing I do know is that I have recieved the Holy Spirit. I have only recently experienced healing and a strong presense of the Spirit on my life. Maybe deep down we would all like to get whacked out in the Spirit but I don’t want that just for the sake of it. I wanted it to mean something. So I prayed and asked God to give me a revelation through His Word. Well one day at home out of the blue while I was reading Romans aloud, the Spirit came and I was incoherant and drunk in the Spirit for a good hour. I did not expect it or try to bring it on. It just happened. This is how He operates. Not how we try to MAKE Him operate. When you understand the true message of being saved by His glorious Grace and the more I have been seeking Him through Grace I have discovered a power and truth that is not being taught in many churches these days. The spiritual power in the church has been sooooo squashed that when we see others operating in it we will question from where it comes. And I say Amen to that!! We are to test these things definitely. We can all quote scripture to back it up, I’m sure!! But lets address the heart of the matter, it is our own hearts! We often tend to desire the gift than the giver! We will raise ourselves or others up, than glorify the Holy and Righteous One. We all want to do great things but who did the greatest of them all?!?! God will use whoever, whosoever believes in Him. I believe God uses Heidi, but where we are human, we can also fall into sin. So lets pray for those that stray from the path to return to the Way and the Truth. His Grace is sufficient for us, shouldn’t we extend the same?

When Jesus did miracle to people and declared he is the son of God, the local religous people suspected that he is from demon, and later even decided to kill him.
I always want to ask my Christian leaders that why these religous people did not think of praying to God to ask what is right or wrong. They were in old testmony time period and they did not have holy spirit. But still they could ask their priest to go to temple and pray to God to ask if this man is from demon or from God, and ask what they should do with him. God should answer them.
Same situation today. Instead of judging Heidy Baker, we should pray and ask Jesus Christ and get answer from him. If we pray and ask the clear questions, God should answer by himself, rather than let the demon to pretend him. What if he does not answer, then we need to wait, but do not judge quickly on ourselves.
However, this world is realy complexed and confused. Even a decent Christian could get lost easily and could not figure out which is truely from God and which is from demon.
For example, the near death experience. Many people reported their NDE stories, and some see Jesus, some see Alah, and some get the conclusion of all in one after their back to physical life. If our God has the fully control on birth and death, how can these people see different Gods in near death experience?
It is also confused that Heidy Baker saved so many dead people and turned them back to life. So the demon could control the life and death? What does God control then?
The significant difference between Christian and other religons is that God instruct us and lead us to grow through the holy spirit. Nowadays, we could not judge if the dead people coming back to life is from God or demon. It shows that we have disconnection to our God. We need to humbly bow down to pray to our God, not just ask him this death-life question, but also rebuild the connection to him.
What if he does not answer our pray? Then the Atheist raise their flag. Our God will not just instruct us on some bible teachings, not just comfort our feeling and spirit, he must answer us on these critical questions, since we are his children and we want to follow him.
Personally, I do not think those extreme performance are the right way to demonstrate Christian, just from my gut. I could not use the bible to judge it, since bible has both stories: the kind peaceful one and the crazy one.
Let us pray to God, and find the answer. If you do not find the answer, do not stop, continue searching, and one day you will find the truth.
But wait a minute, did not Heidy Baker pray to God every time before she play the miracle? Does it mean that we should suspect the answer to our pray? If so, what should we trust then?
God, could you answer me this bigger question rather than the death-life question? When we pray to you, are you going to answer or the demon sometimes going to answer?

I bought the video about Heidi and was very impressed with her self reports of all the miracles done through her. Then I saw her in person and this is the point when I was very disturbed by her mocking statement that “just because its not in the book doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it” That got a laugh out of the audience and it aligned with Bill Johnsons statement “the Holy Spirit trumps the bible” Of course how they define the Holy Spirit is bizarre, strange, and insane looking manifestations of hysterical laughing, seizure like movements where chaos takes over a service.
This means that a subjective experience is more important than the Word. God said of the Word “I have exalted my word above my name. As I heard other’s influenced by Heidi Baker speak I realized there was no bizarre thing that they weren’t willing to attribute to the Holy Spirit, which makes church a free for all of excess with no evidence of decency and order. After 6 months in such a congregation in which things like gold dust fell from the ceiling I began to realize they were teaching another gospel, very little scriptural content, what there is, is taken out of context. As a result of seeing Heidi Baker, and her cohorts that sponsored her visit to our church I left the Charismatic movement.
frightening for the souls that follow her ..there are many that believe that way and they fill the pews just like the people fill the tents of a circus they have come to see the acts and hear the testimony of…the most wicked defiled to fill their aww at the wonders….till the circus comes to town again.. sad. but true they take twenty minutes talking on the sins they were in

Heidi reminds me of Arthur Blessitt and Jackie Pullinger who used to be christian heroes to me until I found Christ.
I’m still a bit confused, and don’t know what to make of her and her ministry. Many people keep her in high regard – even our pastor this morning. All tell this and this… feeding the poor healing the sick were the good fruits… however I come to the conclusion, when reading Paul or listen to Jesus/Yeshua’s sermons, that the Holy Spirit lead’s us in all truth and righteousness, which is per definition the Word of God, he will write it into our heart, so it will be near to us. He seems to direct us to trust, that God’s law is good for us and wanting to obey and teach others, too… In Matt.7:21 Jesus basically defines the bad fruit as practicing lawlessness (we sometimes confuse the law written down by Moses with the laws of the Pharesees, but they were putting up their own traditions legalizing ruthlessness as seen in Matt.15:1-6); I don’t know you. Go away from me all you who practice lawlessness. And John said in 1John 2:3-7 that “knowing” is keeping his commandments. And if one correctly differentiates between (at least)all the seven Laws that Paul talks of (Law of God, Law of Sin; Law of Sin and Death; Law of the Spirit of Life, Law of Faith, Law of Righteousness and Law of Christ) one comes also away with that the Holy Spirit is the one directing us to God’s law and keeping it…(Romans 7:12+14 or 10:1-8 in connection with Deut 30:11-14 also Galatians 5:16-25) That is what I see the spirit is supposed to do. I find that in stark contrast to being paralized and babbling uncontrollably for 30 minutes without even a word from scripture… and most disturbing to me is, that even Pastors are ignorant of this.
I forgot to mention that Jesus is the Word…so the Holy Spirit makes us also trusting in Jesus, that he fills our righteousness, but that we keep on track and not make the blood of Jesus void either by not not accepting it or by trampling it and grieving the Holy Spirit (Hebr 10:26ff) I find Hebr. 4:2 a central verse in this: The Good news is also preached in the so called “OT”, but they didn’t mix it with faith/trust, that God provides for the ultimate forgiveness, producing more and more rules to God`s perfect law. Likewise we, we should mix our trusting in “super-grace” with keeping God’s Law…

They are neither worshiping because she is distracting them and they are waiting to hear the Word of God but instead it’s always about her visions, over and over and over!
There is a show on TLC called “The sister wives” where a man (mormon) has 4 wives.
They all have their night with him and at times they meet in the living room for fellowship.
Imagine if one of the wives would come to Kody’s feet (the guy’s name) and say in the presence of the other wives;”Kody, I’m wooing you to come to me’.
How would the other wives react?-They would feel disrespected and so would the husband since that woman was not respecting his love for the other wives and their love for him!
That’s exactly how I feel when we as the body of Christ are reunited
in fellowship and this woman comes and starts saying to Jesus;’Lord, I’m wooing you to come to me”.
don’t we have the secret place to open how heart to the Lord and tell Him how we feel?
Do we must display it in the face of those who also love Him?
Once the Lord told me that he is not impressed by these public displays of affection towards Him because he sees the hearts of those who listening to her and how they feel inferior!

As for the time she spends in prayer, why not?-She doesn’t have a secular job and she has people under her doing the work.
I remember when she herself claimed the many hours she spends in worship: 8 to 9 hours a day!
Well, those who send her money have to spend that same amount of time working in order to make a living!
Only Jesus Christ deserves to be glorified!-Forget the vessel and keep Your eyes on Jesus!
Remember the words of John the Baptist:”I must decrease and He must increase”!
One of the things that the Lord revealed to me several years ago is that there is a contest going on on the pulpit:people trying to prove that they are the ones who have more intimacy with Jesus!
The Lord also said that He is the One Who knows who His intimate lovers are!
Keep your eyes on the One who died for us on the cross and repent for idolizing a human being that is nothing but a sinner saved by the grace of God!-We all are!
The sad thing is: they don’t even preach the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ which is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe. They preach their experiences and their visions!
Visions can never replace the Gospel!
And by the way: I have read the testimonies of some people who have served with her and they have questioned many things!
One said that when a preacher rebuked that woman (I don’t even like to mention her name) she turned to the volunteers and she accused them of being their fault that the Lord was displeased.Then she called them to come to her feet and repent because they weren’t giving their all to the Lord!
That same person said that she compared their rules to the things to watch for in a cult and that they fulfill most of them!
I also read couple of nights ago about the for that people need to fill out in order to serve with them and I was appalled at their questions.
Basically neither the apostles or Jesus could have passed their test since they all had wine on the Last Supper and now they would have to answer if they have ever had wine!
They ask very personal questions about sexual sins people have committed in the past.
Doesn’t the Bible say that if we confess our sins to God he is Faithful and Just to forgive us and to clean us of every unrighteousness?
Doesn’t the Bible say that even though our sins were red as scarlet they have become white as snow?

While I have certainly seen a lot in my life as a Christian – a lot of false stuff in “charismatic” circles (I shudder at denominating name tags), yet I just read today how Jesus said that he could not do his miracles through Satan, as a possessed man (as he was accused), because “a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.”
I’m looking online to see Heidi’s stances on mothering and being fruitful and multiplying – open to learning from Jesus as people share what they have learned through the scriptures. When I see the way she interacts with children I see love, and if it is sincere and genuine than that is nothing short of a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
God can manifest his glory whatever way he likes, who are we to second guess him. Yet “test all things and hold fast to what is true.” This is the right thing to do, but also the bible says that the greatest command is to love. Don’t despise this teaching, embrace the full message of Christ and the cross.
Gemika. Jesus does not do false miracles because He is holy and righteous, but sadly satan (actually falseprophet) does false pseudo miracles just as the anti-christ will do to deceive others. Do not be drawn only to miracles but instead to Christ’s blood and death on the cross and His resurrection as the foundation. The Gospel is our focus. When I saw this blog, what I felt was sadness. It so sad that fellow brothers/sisters, call themselves a Christian, was so deceive so easily and judge the people whom Jesus loves..

1. Have you read Matthew 18:15-20?
It may look as personal or within the same church only, but since we all believe in Jesus Christ, we received the same Holy Spirit, we are the church of Christ. Heidi Baker received Jesus and is not professing another god except the One we believe.
What I am trying to say is, if you think what Heidi Baker doing is against the Holy Spirit, rebuke/correct her as what Matthew 18:15-20 is saying.
If what she’s doing is contradicting to what you believe, then it means she’s opposing what you believe, then she is offending you.
When you wrote and posted this, have you ever talked to her personally and raised this to her? Have you ever asked her what she really felt and what are her visions?

I’ve never personally met Heidi Baker and I just knew about her recently. But to tell you honestly, listening to her testimony brought-up the fire in me that I lost, to reach out to more people who need help. To change their lives by introducing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them.
What if someone who got the same desire through her testimony read this? You think you will encourage that person to go and fulfill the great commission? or loosen their heart and turn-off the fire in their heart?
What if you are wrong and Heidi Baker is truly from the Holy Spirit? Internet make the earth smaller. Millions of people can read this. Believers and non-believers. Member and non-member of their church. Instead of leading the non-believer to God, you are misleading them. And maybe causing division within the church.
I am not a perfect person. I am a sinner. But I know God loves me, all of us, even Heidi Baker.. So don’t judge so easily.

An old trick of the devil…Just make an accusation against one of God’s people and you will get them fighting against each other about who’s right!!! You might be right about Heidi Baker being a “new Mother Teresa”. And sine Mother Theresa was not a Christian, my best guess is that this explains my viewpoint. There are a lot of people doing social work and helping the poor. Including a lot of Hindus, Buddhists, and NEW Ager’s like Heidi Baker.
Mother Teresa was a Christian. I am Christian baptized in Catholic Church. I was coming from Buddhist background, I knew Buddhists. They help no body but themselves, greedy and corrupted. To others they look so sweet and peaceful people, but among themselves they have committed gravely sins against GOD. Look at Cambodia. 90% people live under poverty, only about 10% are wealthy. Without the Christians help them, they will be ended up dead. I was almost dead too, but GOD saved me, and I was the only child survived. I did not just wake up and became a Chrstian, I dreamed saw GOD in a form of a Giant moon and it was bright and a voice of my father told me to worship GOD, so I knelt down and worshiped HIM that when I was very sick dying on my deathbed. The next day I was healed talking like a healthy kid. My father was Buddhist why did he tell met that Giant moon was GOD in my dream? Later I had a vision, I saw and met the Lord, Lord Jesus, it was like real. GOD saved my life and brought me to the US and He has guided me until this hour. To me who believes in GOD the Father, and does HIS Will and follows HIS Son, Lord Jesus CHRIST is Christian. If you reject me that I am not Christian, you better face the Lord and challenge HIM by yourself. He is my Father. You can classify who are Christians, and who are not as you feel like, but GOD is the Only judge, not you, no body, but only HIM.

I accept you as a Christian. Don’t worry about those who appoint themselves as judges over you. Your judge is Jesus Christ. But be careful to follow the truth because there are many forgeries. If those you listen to tell you that Jesus Christ came in the flesh (as a man) and died on the cross for the forgiveness of everyone’s sins, and was raised from the dead by God the father. Then they are speaking the truth. Anything that contradicts that truth is a lie.
I didn’t read everything that everybody wrote, but with a lot of you there are a lot of anger instead of God’s love, You decide who your are. We are to compare ourselves only to Christ and then we all will find ourselves wanting and in need of more of Christ. If there are false teachers, God is mighty enough to remove them, it is neither your or my decision. Find someway to built up the body of Christ instead of creating strive! My comment: Jesus warns us numerous times in his Word about false teachers. Here are just some of the verses.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Jesus tell us: 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
So are we to sit here quietly or are we to test these people?

What did David say about Saul, I will not touch the anointed of God, Just a warning, Be very careful when judging any preacher, for if your wrong, you will be fighting God Himself. Make sure that you know the word of God to the fullest and that you are born again and in the Spirit, For the kingdom of God is in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, I don’t like to judge any preacher, though I choose to listern to the ones that agree with my spirit man, and I test what they say to the fullest of the Word of God. The way we grow up and the traditions of the denomination we go to have a very great influance in how we see things. Just be careful, Know His word and you will not be mislead, the problem of the church today is that the members do not study the bible any more, so all they have is the traditions of man and no right judgement can be made from that position. Its amazing that you take this scripture, in favor of not exposing false Prophets and false teachers. Since the verse before, 1 John 4:2 is:
“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world”.
In context: Many people do acknowledge that “Jesus” has come in the flesh, read: He has existed. But they do not accept the power of the resurrection, and that Jesus is God. Many Christians seems to have no clue what the Word “Christ” is suppose to mean. That we are talking about God of Israel, the anointed, the Messiah, that has appeared inline with the Prophetic Word. This fact is rejected by a lot of people who claim they believe in “Jesus”. Like the Jehovah Witness, the Later day saints and Roman Catholics.
Heidi Baker clearly believe that “Jesus” is one of “her gods”. And that is idolatry.
Please be aware of this, and stop quoting and using the scripture out of context.
Can I ask, what are you doing for God,and is Mark 16 a reality in your life, Jesus also said that if someone was teaching in His name that they could never call Him a cursed, He told His disciples to let them be. Go and read Acts 2 and see what happens there. I am not out of context, but busy with a much bigger picture. Obviously there will be opinions, they are like noses, everybody has one, but they are full of holes.

Its not about me, nor Heidi Baker. It is about Jesus. What he has done for us. Ref, Matthew 7, 21-23. 2. Cor 11, 4, etc. And by the way. The most known gospel of works, is Catholicism.
If it is about Jesus, then concentrate on Jesus and not on people, and then Jesus will live through you and manifest in and through you and all of what the word say He has done will He also do through you. If Jesus is your centre, you will be like Paul in 1 Cor2v1-5. He chose to give dominion unto man in Christ, From Adam to Noah they were called the sons of God, and again since Jesus died until now we have received the power to become the sons of God again. Jesus works through people, so when you judge the people He use, you judge Him. Acts 5v34-39 Then stood up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation amoung all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; and said unto them, ye men of Israel, take heed to YOURSELVES what ye intend to do as touching these men. When Heidi Baker preach her gospel of works, she is a mini-Pope to her followers. Its all about her, and the “gods” of her life. She use the name of “Jesus”, but it is a “different Jesus”. Just as Paul explains, in 2.Cor 11,4.
I have a lot to boast about, but I am a sinner who are in need of the mercy and grace of the Lord, everyday. If I should boast, I would boast of nothing but my weaknesses. May the name of Yeshua the Messiah be exalted. Let there be move of Him, and less if me. Amen.
I do know the Bakers personally.
I sat next to the Bakers at the Toronto Vineyard conference that started the whole thing. I got to know them, on a personal level, as a sweet couple, missionaries to Mozambique. I have walked with the LORD since 1978. And have learned discernment the hard way, GOD’s way. I don’t like being deceived. Remember nobody knew them at this time. when Rolland told me that his grandfather wrote “Visions beyond the Veil”. I said “NO WAY, that book changed my life. I also found out that they were risking everything, including $1,000,000 of promised funding, just to be at this conference. I was an eyewitness, on the seat to their left, in the back, where I like it, when I heard from pulpit “is there a missionary couple here from Africa”. they froze, to stand up meant to loose almost everything. again I heard “their missionaries to Mozambique”. I watched them struggle, with that for, maybe 3 seconds. but they got up, with a look resignation. they went forward. I watched the LORD touch Heidi.Heidi, and Africa, have never been the same. the very thought of faking miracles would horrorfy Heidi. Remember I know the bakers personally. I have decades of experience, and I don’t like being deceived. I have discernment. Not to be mean, but I see a lot of the accuser of the brethren here. much like those who accused Jesus of using demons for miracles. I see judgement masquerading as discernment. Heidi knows she will stand before the LORD. We would all do well to remember that.

I do not know Heidi Baker personally, and I am not at all interested in her relationships to banks, funds, relatives and friends. I am concerned about the theology she represent, and what kind of Spirit that is reigning in her heart. My articles are based on video-cuts, and they can talk for them selves.
I believe that Jesus the Messiah can heal anyone from all kinds of sicknesses, at any moment of His choice. That a miracles took place in front of any pulpit, do not make the message of the preacher more or lesser correct. The message has to be scrutinized based on what has been said.
I Pray that Jesus to the Messiah will show mercy to Heidi Baker. Just like I am in need of the same. I hope and pray we both will be found inside the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

Just want to make a quick comment regarding the last paragraph where you pray for mercy for Heidi. Unfortunately God’s Word if very clear that anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin.
What Heidi is doing is pure blasphemy.
She won’t be forgiven for what she is doing.
What we really need to be doing is praying for all the people that are following her to snap out of their delusions and see this heretic for what she really is and turn away from her before they get caught up in the blasphemy too.

I just haven’t the time to watch her videos, and do the doctrinal comparison required. I have walked with the LORD since 1978. By the time I got to know the Bakers, the discernment I had learned from the LORD, I got the hard way, following false teachers, yada, yada, yada. But as a young believer, the LORD stuffed me with scripture, read 6 to 12 hours a day for months, then a year at bible school. That’s how the LORD freed me from that, I can’t tell you how much of what was portrayed as charismatic on TV sickened me. puke. But I saw the HOLY SPIRIT’s fruit in them. They didn’t want fame at all. The LORD continually keeps my attitude in check. Yep, trips to HIS wood shed. Heidi knows she will stand before the LORD someday. I suspect they long for the days before all this happened. when life was so much simpler. Now I get to experience “the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings”, how fun for me. I take that back it sucks, but there are places in Jesus’s I never would have known without that. I can’t get into it here, but now I shed real tears for the lost. I can’t describe how they hurt. But Heidi gets to live in a fishbowl. She, and Rolland are a sweet couple. I can testify to that, and yes I get to stand before HIM too. But how the Bakers are sometimes portrayed is sad. Those who have yet to know the LORD use that for a reason not to. Anyway, in a lot of pain right now so nap time, latter 🙂
I read Heidi Baker’s book. I wasn’t sure if she was for real. So I got on a plane to go see. Those of you who are criticizing, have you sat in the dirt with her, ministering to the broken? have you traveled into the bush with her to preach the Gospel to the lost? She is preaching the true Gospel. You are preaching division.
In Acts, versus 16, 17, 18, Paul writes, “Instead, this is what the prophet Joel spoke about: This is what I will do in the last days, God says: I will pour out My Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will proclaim My message; your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams. Yes, even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days and they will proclaim My message. (Italics are mine.)
Some people think Paul contradicts himself because in 1 Corinthians 14:34, he writes that women should keep quiet in the churches and ask their husbands questions at home if they have any. And again in 1 Timothy 2:11, Paul writes, “Women should learn in silence and all humility. Verse 12 I do not allow them to teach or to have authority over men; they must keep quiet.” It sure looks like a contradiction. But God’s word never contradicts itself. When it seems to, we need to look into it to see who it was written to and why.
In 1 Corinthians Paul is writing to Timothy about the conditions at the church in Corinth. There was confusion and chaos in the assemblies there. People were speaking in tongues without waiting for interpretation and women who were uneducated, (only the men at that time had this privilege) were asking ignorant questions out of turn. This had to be addressed specifically in Corinth! The message in 1 Timothy 2 was also specific to the church in Ephesus. There the women were used to being in authority over the men. Many of them were ex-priestesses for the goddess Diana. They wanted to run their assemblies. That’s why we also read in Ephesians 5:22, 23 and 24, “Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church; and Christ is Himself the Savior of the church, His body. And so wives must submit themselves completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ.”
We see that taken in its entirety, and in the proper context,

This is the closing remarks of Jesus Christ before going back to Heaven. Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Jesus said of the the Pharisees who call these works of the Holy Spirit, the work of Lucifer, they were blaspheming the Holy Spirit. With this in mind, do the theologians on this site believe healing the sick or miracles signs and wonders done today are the work of demons or the Holy Spirit?

Friends, the gospel is not hard to understand. It is the good news of Jesus Christ for the salvation of the damned. We shouldn’t overcomplicate the gospel.
Yes – we are called to test every spirit. And we are called to wary of Satan’s plans. But for a believing Christian this should not be difficult.
I would like to point you to three things:
1 – The bible says we should know them by their fruits.
2 – The bible says noone can say “Jesus is Lord”, except by the Holy Spirit.
3 – The bible says; “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
We are all given different areas to focus on in our walk with Christ. Some are teachers, some are comforters, some are to correct others, with love. Heidi Baker is a comforter, Jesus is using her mightily. Look to her fruits, they are plentiful. Look to her statement of faith; https://www.irisglobal.org/about/statement-of-faith. Talk to her in person and she would tell you “Jesus is GOD, Jesus is LORD, He died for our sins!”.
I invite you to read and pray over the following: Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4; 10:44-46; 1 Corinthians 12, 14.
We are called to be one body! We are not to create division! To look upon a person and to know he/she is a Christian is to be a easy thing, it is those that proclaim Jesus Christ to be Lord, and live by his Word! GOD made it easy for us, SO easy! If we find conflicting teaching among ourselves, do not argue, go back to Jesus and through prayer he will unite us again. Focus always on JESUS. The things that we argue with between ourselves do not matter, just make sure JESUS is in heart and in deed. We should not argue between ourselves. Look for the things that unite us, instead of those that cause division. As long as it’s sound Bible doctrine. As long as Jesus is proclaimed as Lord. As long as there is FRUIT. Then there is to be peace of mind. GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED OR BELITTLED, and I feel this is something He wants us really to understand. The counterfeit shall not be mistaken for the HOLY GHOST. I believe that Heidi and Rolland Baker are filled with the Holy Spirit, because no one can bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Saviour to an Atheist nation without the Spirit of Christ; or without His command.
There are definitely false apostles and prophets, that’s true, but I don’t think we have to spend most of our time to expose every one of them; we should rather focus on the poor, the orphans, the lost. The Apostle Paul wrote the following to the Philippians:
“Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.”
The truth is, the Spirit of God will reveal to us those who are doing false work and they will be exposed at the right time. Haven’t we learned that vengeance is the LORD’s? As it is written in the letter to the Romans:
“Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”says the Lord. Therefore, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.””
Something to think about: Suppose God allows it for you to “expose” Heidi and Rolland Baker and they be removed; will you then go over to Mozambique and take on those roles and give up everything? Will you?

I think the problem could more be, the interpretation of scripture. I personally don’t know of this work of Heidi, but I know the enemy can fool people to attack godly men and women. Trying to stop or at least hinder their work.
I was googling this organization, and samaritans purse, I would like to be on the mission field, but I am a bit afraid of fornication that I’ve seen on some mission fields. If I would go there could I be certain of cleanness of moral?

How does one be obedient towards Jesus? You keep His commandments, which are;

The Word says, test every spirit. If the spirit acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, then it is from God. If it doesn’t, then it is not from God. Simple as. I believe many of you perceive Satan as mightier than he actually is. Does Satan cast out Satan? No!

* She strives to uphold the law of Jesus Christ; love God and your neighbour
Remember, all encounters with God, is 1 part God, and 1 part human being. How you react to your encounter, will always be greatly impacted by your personality, your culture and your stance on such things in general. We will never be completely free of our nature as long as we live on earth. Many flamboyant reactions and manifestations can come largely from God, and many can be wrested forth by a human being desperate to have a strong encounter with a living God.
Who is any of you to say that Heidi’s encounter with God was not of God? Hedi was in a place in her life where she was far from God. What she needed was a strong, reality altering encounter. How else would anyone spur into such seal for the Lord? Have any of us? God had marked her, and He wanted to motivate her, strongly. The way God reaches out to different people is as numerable as there is people. Who are we to say, this was not from God?
When people roll around on the floor, practice holy laughter, etc, etc. This could be from God, and this could also be from our carnal minds, desperately trying to increase our encounter. Remember that the apostels were mistaken for drunkards. Really try to read that scripture with an open mind. Do not cause division in the Body of Christ. DO NOT! Be really careful, I beg of you. I too once was seeking for every little difference in how people related to Jesus or interpreted scripture. It is not wise! Look to the fruit! Look to the cross and the redeeming blood of Jesus being evangelized! And look to the LOVE! Have you these things, then you have the HOLY SPIRIT at work. Do not test him.

First, let me just say, in the Roland’s e-mail letter, repentance from sin and Christ crucified is preached. As well as in their testimony of faith.
This side of eternity we will never see God’s work or will be done completely unpolluted by human interference. He has chosen to work through human beings. An encounter with God is always part God, part human being.
Many say; “this is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman”. The Holy Spirit will speak to each and every heart in the way that that particular heart needs to be spoken to. As Ivar says, He will of course not go against scripture. Stretch your minds, do not be imprisoned by fear. Think of Pauls meeting with Christ on the way to Damascus. He fell to the ground. Not very gentleman-like of Christ. Some the Holy Spirit will speak silently to through the years, transformed by walking with Christ, forever seeking to come close to the example he sat, others will be rocked, changed in an instant, and equipped to be diciples of Christ. Like Paul. Like Heidi.
As Paul said “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.”
I’m sure all of us had said something regarding God’s Word, or God himself, at one time or another, that does not line up with His Will. Maybe we even did it in good faith. I sure did.
Rejoice that Heidi is keeping the two main commandments of the Lord Jesus. Loving God with all that she is, and loving her neighbour as herself. If any is offended by her relationship to God, they should seek God and grow their own relationship, instead of judging and labeling other christians.
What if it’s actually the Holy Spirit filling her, and manifesting through her? What if it’s all Him? What then? Many her has labelled it satanic. Repent! Let God judge. Focus on your own relationship to Jesus, and rejoice in the fruit being produced by her ministry.
We should stop quoting solo-verses and build theology on that. The Bible was written without verses. Read the book, get to know God. God is more than His book. The book is the portal to get to know Christ Jesus. Lest we become pharisees.
The verse you quote, about workers of iniquity being turned away by Jesus. This is about keeping Jesus’ commandments, yes. So that we do not work iniquity/be lawless. What are His commandments? “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27. And the great commission. Preach the gospel, cast out devils, heal the sick. Which is exactly what Hedi and Roland is doing.
Again, don’t judge! Those who do will be judged in return!

What really amazes me is that even though people watch Heidi fully possessed and experiencing Kriya Kundalini twitches, demonic laughs and those “woah!’s” they still think she is anointed by God. I do not want to be to critical, but is there anything in your quote that could not have been the statement of faith of the Pope? There is a lot of social workers and humanitarians among us. And there are many who claim to bring people “faith in Jesus”.
I would like to know if Heidi Baker can say:
1. There is only One God, the God that took the Hebrews out of Egypt, the God of Israel.
2. The eternal God of Israel is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. There are copies of “Jesus” presented in our churches. There are unclen spirits presented to us as the Holy Spirit. And there are people who present to us a different gospel.
4. The Bible is the highest authority in all matters related to the Christian faith, and must be used to expose examples of pkt.3.

This whole article is sad as are many of the comments. Jesus’ model of faith actually requires faith in Him to do more than we could EVER do on our own. If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then I am at loss about how the activity of the HS would be any different today then it was back in the day?
I spent time with the Baker’s ministry in Mozambique and saw nothing but love, joy, prayer, humility, Biblical teaching and training, hope offered and care for the least of these and yes, I saw a boatload of miracles.
I myself have seen miracles happen there, in other countries and here in the states. In fact, one of my friends was deaf and now she is not after I prayed for her in the name of Jesus. After God touched her ear, she allowed Him to touch her heart and receive Him. Miracles are normal for God and He is still in the business of doing them if we’ll just agree and seek His beautiful face. If we seek God in ways others won’t then we’ll see Him move in ways others don’t.
The Gospel is not just repent, but believe as well and when God reveals His love and power it spurs people on towards belief.
This stuff is not a circus or a sideshow, the miraculous occurs because Jesus in His deep and tremendous love for people is willing to woe them and wow them to get their attention and reveal His tender and precious heart to those He is pursuing.
I am sorry, but the real peril is not for the lovers and seekers like Heidi, et al, but those who grieve the Holy Spirit by their hatred, dissension and unbelief.
I believe Heidi and scores of others see God move in tremendous ways that often many other miss because of their deep commitment to prayer (love of Jesus) and their loving boldness to reach the lost and walk by faith and not by sight.

I do not dispute that Jesus perform miracles. I do not dispute that Jesus is active today, and that all powers in Heaven and Earth is with Him.
There is one common misunderstanding in the Word of Faith camp I would like to adress. People correctly quote an important scripture: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”. But they apply this scripture to include that Jesus is doing the same yesterday, today and forver. To do this is not correct.
Jesus has finished most of His work, all that His Father called Him to do.
Most of the prophecies are today fulfilled.
At the end of the age, He will surely save less people than in the first century. We are at the age of the great falling away and decpeption. Too many people have walked into deceptions, and embraced a false Messiah.
We must be on our guard, and listen to people who have the gift of dicsenment. We must refuse to accept New Age versions of “Jesus”, and other copycats.
Like the “Jesus” of Heidi Baker, who let her anoint people with the Kundalini Spirit. A woman who talk about “wird fish” who will mess up our Churches, and so on. Heidi Baker also accept Roman Catholics as Christians, and when she pray, she call on “baba’s” and “Sheik’s”. Just listen to her false prayers in tongues.

Welcome back. I respect your view. By the 200 comments made on this story, I can see it is a hot issue. I will hold on to my view that the so-called Toronto revival is a counterfaith revival, and what we see is an outporing of the unclean kundalini spirit.
There are many who claim to know Jesus, and many use his name.
This movement is filled with the wrong spirit, that makes them returning back home to Rome. That is why we see several of the key leaders embracing the papacy as a seat of a Christian leader. It is a fatal error, that leads you into all kinds of deception. They all work for a new apostolic reformation, to pave the way for the Pontifex Maximus.
I agree that discernment is imperative. EVERYTHING must be tested. But I am convicted to hold my tongue and wait on the Lord. His ways are not our ways. I do not want to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. If Adam is presumed to be innovent, Adam must claim that he did no hear the instruction given by God. And that his punishment therefore is a part of an unjust “god’s” wrongful actions. I do not agree. Adam’s claim of being victimised by his wife, is rejected by a just God. He gives Adam what he deserves. He was kicked out of the garden, to slog it out. The Earth was cursed because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Both.
The question arises as why did God plant the tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil & then say not to eat of its fruit. The reason is- His will was what He commanded. If you ask an average Christian leader to explain gnostisism, he will try to talk about something else. Probably he is a gnostic him self, not knowing that he is preaching a false Christ.
As mentioned, regarding the simplicity of the mind of Christ “His will was what He commanded” but the Gnostic thought becomes twisted to believe that God really wanted them to take the fruit of the forbidden tree since it was He who planted it. People say speaking in tongues is demonic. I’ve heard famous preachers say anyone with spiritual gifts/charismatic are going to hell. We need to be careful of these statements. May I suggest using a language seasoned with love instead of vinegar? Perhaps we need to look at our own sins and all that has been forgiven of us and have an attitude of mercy. Did you know Jesus can save people even in the midst of Catholicism because He has chosen His sheep. They follow His voice. I have never heard Heidi side with Catholicism although she may team up with ministries that feed the poor.

The Charismatic Pentecostal consept of being “drunk in the spirit” is an abomination. It is totally counterproductive, and make sane and decent people take a stand against Jesus.
Please read about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Among a lot of peaceful acts, self-control and gentleness.
The Charismatic kind of lack of self-control and insane acts of animal noises, etc, also called “drunkeness”, can only be defended when you are willing to twist the scripture.
On the day of Pentecost, people mocked the Christians by claming they were drunk. They were not. The spoke sense, and shared the gospel with 3.000 people gathered, all who did not mock them but listened to the message about sin and repentance. The message was plain, and cut people in the heart. No one behaved like an idiot, or acted like an animal.

There are several thousand people visiting this blog everyday. I can not participate in all the debates. I am not so keen on debating peoples opinions. There are so many of them. I am always willing to debate the true meaning of scriptures, and how to best implement them in our lifes. The Word of God shall reign in my life. Heidi Baker does not follow the doctrines of Jesus Christ. She states in this video that she got her doctrine of the kingdom from the poor and from little children, not from the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “Take My yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matt 11:29-30)
Heidi Baker does not preach repentance and the baptism for the remission of sins, the foundational doctrine of Jesus Christ for entrance into the kingdom and eternal life. She does say that she got in a bathtub once and calls it a baptism. She preaches conversion to Jesus and following the poor and immature as teachers.
Believers today should be baptized in Father’s Holy Spirit and pray in tongues by the inspiration of Father’s Holy Spirit, as Jesus taught: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7:39-40).
The supernatural workings of Father’s Holy Spirit to heal, deliver, cleanse, raise, help, comfort, guide, etc. are available to His people today. But this woman is not preaching the doctrines of Jesus Christ.

Why do people worry so much about what someone else is doing? Paul said kingdom of God is not in word but in power, that God confirms His word with signs following, that the natural man recieves not the things of the spirit – they are foolishness to him neither can he know them they are spiritually deserved. Jesus said if I don’t do the works believe me not, He also said these signs shall follow them that believe in My name they shall cast out devils,speak in unknown tongues,lay they’re hands on the sick and they shall recover. Based on this diffinition can you say that your a believer? I’m pretty sure of this – that Hiedi is not concerned in the least at what people say, but that she is occupied with loving Jesus and others through Him, being about the Fathers buisness.
People got offended at Jesus when He said unless you eat My flesh and drink My blood, you have no life in you. The problem with so many people is they judge after they’re natural reasoning. Having ears they hear not and eyes they see not. You have to be born of the Spirit to understand the things of the Spirit. Those who are born of the Spirit know what’s of God and what’s not. All of men’s opinion mean absolutely nothing. Look at the Pharisees they studied the word yet when Jesus came they called Him a devil. Now after the day of Pentecost and the giving of the Holy Spirit it’s still the same,the Holy Spirit moves and touches people and because of human reasoning people say it’s demonic. – I would hate to call something of God demonic,-Jesus did warn about the grave danger of blaspheming the Holy Ghost in so doing.
When I grow up I want to be like Heidi Baker! This blog post is untrue… then again Jesus was accused of having demons. So Heidi walks the same rope. Be careful not to be too religious that you bash God’s beautiful children.

A few years ago Heidi Baker visited my friend’s church and I was invited to go. I was looking forward to a night of worship, testimony and healing. For the record, I do believe all the gifts of the Spirit are for today and that God still works thru Christians to heal, raise the dead, etc.
(John 14:12 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
Mark 16:17-18 “17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”)
The worship band that accompanied her was like nothing I’d ever heard before. They were acting goofy and playing silly songs like it was a jamboree. They were not worshipful at all and I began to feel a bit sick to my stomach. A lot of parent visitors from my children’s Christian school had come with similar hopes as me and as I looked around I felt a deep sadness. It wasn’t indignation, but deep grief. It felt like the Holy Spirit was very grieved at what was going on despite the fact that many sincere Christians were trying to make the best of it and worship somehow!
Then when Heidi finally took the stage, she acted so bizarre. Her stories didn’t make sense and I got so uncomfortable. What she was expressing was not at all from the Lord. I am totally open to “strange” experiences if they’re of the Lord, but as hard as I tried, I just couldn’t see anything of the Lord in how or what she talked about. She actually almost seemed like she was on drugs or a mental patient.
To this day, I don’t know how to reconcile this with the wonderful testimonies I hear about her! I can only give you my experience with her. I just don’t know how a person truly filled by the Holy Spirit could talk and act the way she did, or endorse the silly non-worship we did and praise it as wonderful worship.

That was the test for the First Commandment- Love thy God, before which was tested for the second Commandment – Love thy Brethren also to the point of death in the same vision but in a different time frame such that while being tested for the First, the second was not in remembrance, even unto the coming of Christ to the hope in Rom; 8:19 – Creature waits in earnest expectation for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Now the word Hindu-Christian is incompatible with Christianity ’cause the basis of hinduism is revealed as “Evolution”. which belief but denies in the existence of god in the Spirit( for the spirit does not lie, irrespective of what may be in ones mind or what one may profess by the mouth,) to make man as god’s (Remember Eden to THE LIE).
Now the Prophecy of Daniel says of “A strange god- a god of forces”.. To know that Obama carries a no of this as luck charms , a Hindu mythological ancestral monkey warrior god denoting an Evolutionary belief – man came from the monkeys, so do the many alters figured in the British Freemasonic Israeli supreme court- the gods of evolution. Do Heidi bakers as a part of NAR reveal any of this through their indulgences like the Bentleys by hindu like channelings.

I have never known the devil or an unclean spirit to cause thousands of people to sprint to the alter of God, confess their sins and give their lives to Jesus.

The word tells us that man will deceive but the Holy Spirit ; which will be our guide and give us true decernment, is our safe guard!!!

I watched only 1:17 of the video and turned it off. The Holy Spirit does not cause one to fall and roll about. The Holy Spirit also does not stop you from speaking in your native tongue. You must yield to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will never take away your free will that was given to you. She said she was unable to speak English once she started speaking in tongues. I do not dispute speaking in tongues as this is a gift of the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit gives you the utterance and YOU do the speaking. So if she was unable to stop then it was not of the Holy Spirit. I do not need to know any further than this.

“Leave those blind leaders!” – what is your business with them? Don’t waste the time what is His time now!
“Who speaks up by himself is seeking his own glory, but who does for the One who spent him is right and there is no falseness in him.” So two people can say the same thing. But not in the right time and same reason. The clue is here.
“Who can abstain his speech is a perfect person.” – So strive to do so! Don’t get involved in these disputes!

I disagree with you John. Jesus tells us several times to test the spirit. And that there are many false prophets in this sinful world. It is our job as a believer in Christ, to do what the Lord states to us.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
Matthew 24:24 For false Christ’s and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Who here has the moral authority to criticize this woman? A woman who has fed thousands of children, has given love to those children, has restored their faith in God and life.
Ye shall know them by their fruit! Jesus could not do many Works in his own hometown because of faithless people who judged his cause wrongly….He spat on the ground, made mud, threw it on blind eyes that got healed, he called a dead, rotting corpse out of the grave, he silenced storms, healed the sick, ….he told believers to do likewise, including raising the dead! Above all…he said …let the little children come…he fed thousands of hungry people…and then said greater works than these shall YOU do..
Anyone who does this for the Kingdom of God is not against but for Jesus…representing and imitating all he did!

I am Maria, the one who wrote here in December 2013 about my experience with Heidi Baker and Ronald Bake.
Actually it was at the airport Church n Toronto.
Now that I am retired and living in Central America, I was pleasant surprised to find my comments here and all I have to say is that I still feel the same way.
That woman may be on the floor but she makes herself to big by exalting her sacrifices, her work, her love for God like if she loves Him more than everybody else.
For what I see here she still has many followers and many fans.
One of them even said here in one of the comments that that woman is saturated in the Holy Spirit and that when she is speaking she likes to say a word in tongues once in a while because she doesn’t want NOT TO BE in communion with Jesus all the time.
When Jesus preached the sermon of the mountain or in the synagogues did He ever stopped to say a few words in tongues because He didn’t want NOT TO BE in communion with the Father all the time?
Has anyone been as close to the Father as Jesus?

To those who are so impressed by the many orphans she feeds, listen: doesn’t she get billions of dollars sent by different churches to feed the poor?

That is nothing but idolatry!-This reminds me when a woman who went to a conference in Toronto felt very troubled when she realized how people were in awe of Heidi Baker because she knew that it wasn’t of God that we as Christians get so impressed by another human being. Then the Lord spoke to her and said: They idolize her a lot.
However some of you who are so impressed with her will never accept that the Lord could say something like that.
To me the Lord said many years ago that it was the spirit of exhibitionism.
She likes to display how much she loves Jesus, how much God loves her, how much she does for God, how much she suffers, how many churches she planted, how much this…how much that…and Shame on you who are in awe of her instead of being in awe of Jesus alone!

Does anyone know whether the miracles the Bakers write about in their book “There is Always Enough” or in other places are true?
I know the Bible speaks of lying signs, but for me if someone does not teach obvious heresy but proclaims Jesus as the Messiah, Lord and Savior, raised from the dead and it is credibly documented that extraordinary signs accompany their ministry, I am inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I am interested, though, if anyone has information that either confirms or rebuts a miracle the Bakers have publically claimed to witness.

The Holy Ghost came to glorify Jesus and Jesus alone! Not to glorify Heidi Baker or anyone else!
Remember that Heidi has a PhD in Theology; she’s way more educated than Jesus.
After wading through the plethora of “comments,” the one thing that stands out is Confusion. The Lord warned us via His command: we’re to be sure that we’re not deceived. Obeying this is only possible by leaning on God, not on our education or on our feeble minds. Those who evidence a “walk humbly with God” show a heart that prays for others, more than a readiness to pounce on those who are confused about Heidi’s (and Rolland’s?) fruit there. She’s obviously in charge.
Humanitarian, missionary, or both? Trees are recognized by their fruit, so let’s pray that the Holy Spirit reveals the adversary’s deceptions and distractions and gives us direction for our intercession. We need spiritual, not fleshly discernment.

Mathew 7:21-23. Jesus gives a shocking reply. “I NEVER knew you”. I first and foremost have to look after my own relationship with Him. Be sue He will recognize me. I also also have to warn others to be sure of this. many who do a lot of things in the “name of Jesus”, obviously have accepted a copy cat. Its a terrible mortal mistake, a huge tragedy.
