A vial containing blood drawn from Pope John Paul II will be installed as a relic in a Polish church.
The blood sample was collected from the late Pope just before he died, and will be declared “Holy” soon after his beatification later this year.
Last week, Pope Benedict XVI announced he will beatify the late pope on May 1. Beatification is the last major step before possible sainthood.
Piotr Sionko is the spokesman for the John Paul II Center in Poland.
He says the vial will be encased in crystal and built into the altar of a church in the southern city of Krakow that is opening in May.
This is reported by the Associated Press.
The late pope, who was born in southern Poland, served as archbishop of Krakow.
Sionko said the idea came from Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, the archbishop of Krakow and late pontiff’s longtime friend and secretary.
The blood was drawn for medical tests before John Paul’s death in 2005, and is now in Dziwisz’s possession, he said.
After his death, some Polish officials said they hoped John Paul’s heart would be removed from his body and returned to his homeland for burial. However, church officials said the age had passed for that practice, the AP reports.

To even suggest to rip the heart out of a dead Pope, and bury it somewhere else, is a sign of demonic and spiritual insanity.
To collect the blood of a dead Pope, for a future declaration of its “holiness” should have made Roman Catholics standing speechless and utterly embarrassed.
How can a Vatican approved Cardinal, make a such a mockery out of the blood of Jesus, the only blood that is “holy”?
The true meaning of the word “Holy” is righteous before God.

Satanists collects “holy blood” from dying Chickens. A Catholic Cardinal collects “holy blood” from a dying pope. There is no difference.

You are right. A cult with a face of a copy-cat Jesus. The RCC is the most wicked of the cults, with members who defend worship of skulls, bones and corpses. They claim to be the people of God, the true Jews. Their priests even wear Jewish kipas. The RCC priests are liars, and their “Churches” are the modern day synagogues of Satan. A pit of sin, that will burn on the day of judgment.
