Are you sure you are serving the true kingdom?
What are the obvious differences between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God?
The Bible say we will be given what we need. But first we must seek the kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
If we do not understand the essence of “his kingdom”, we might submit to the copy-cat version.
Satan explained his domain in the encounter with Jesus, as the Messiah was lead by the spirit into the desert to be tempted.
Matthew 4:8
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendour. ‘All this I will give you,’ he said, ‘if you will bow down and worship me.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”
The key word is the “splendour”. The excess of money, property, silver, gold and fame. All who lust for these kinds of “added value” fall into the trap of Satan. The great wealth of this world is used in the service of the kingdom of darkness.
Do not let the kingdoms of the World, Lord it over you. The Bible explains that friendship with the “splendour” of the kingdoms of the Earth, will make you an enemy of God.
John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
The kingdom of light, is an up-side down kingdom. What the World regard as “great wealth”, has basically no value in the kingdom of God. It will all be trashed and burned on the day of judgment.
John 8:23
But he continued, ‘You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
True believers of Jesus the Messiah is supposed to store up treasures in Heaven. That can only be done by doing the will of the Father. Among men, only saved souls have eternal value. Saved souls are persons who have been added to the kingdom. Of men who have surrendered to its calling.
Matthew 5:14
‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
A Messianic believer will display faith, through acts of forgiveness, sharing, humbleness, meekness and love. We will bless others, and never expect a returned favor. We will live a simplistic life. We will walk in the power of the resurrected Messiah, as we endure mocking and persecution, by all who live in darkness. We will truly be lights that shines in a lost world. And we will refuse to accept whatever Satan offers us! Just like our Master did in His time of testing.
James 4:4
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Are you one of those who took what you were offered, and have became a friend of the World?

I think the idea of it is the world is controlled by Satan. There is nothing, in itself, wrong with riches or splendor, only that in this world it belongs to Satan. In revelations the angels praise Jesus as being worthy of wealth and riches.
Rev. 5:12 And they sang in a mighty chorus: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered–to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”
So we all agree riches are good, but not worth selling out for and following a liar, murderer, and the wicked who don’t care about the poor and needy.
