When Jesus became a curse for us, He was cursed by men not God.

A very dangerous faulty teaching is that Jesus was cursed by His Father, who rejected Him on the cross.
Such a claim is a huge mistake. God can not curse God. If Jesus was cursed by God, than Jesus is not God.
Than: What kind of curse did Jesus become?
Jesus never sinned. Neither did He sin when He bore my sins on the cross. It was men who mocked Him, ridiculed him, beat Him, flogged Him and crucified Him. Jesus let this happen, and God the Father did not join men in this kind of cursing of the Messiah.
Carrying all the sins that ever has been, or will be committed, Jesus felt rejected. His load was more heavy than a human mind can ever figure out. But the Father never rejected Him, nor denounced Him.
Numbers 23:8
“How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?
By His blood Jesus has redeemed all men who believe and obey Him. The Father did not renounce His Son. He rather let the Son parade all evil forces, and gaining victory over them on the cross.
Colossians 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
You can simply not redeem anyone from a curse of God by being cursed by God. Jesus rather redeemed us from the curse of God, by being cursed by men. Men rejected Jesus, simply because He correctly claimed to be God.
Jesus was not only fully a man. He was also fully God. God can not curse God. Jesus did not sin. That is why He could redeem us from all kind of curses, by becoming the perfect sin offering.
Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),Deuteronomy 21:22-23
“If a man has committed a sin deserving of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, his body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance; for he who is hanged is accursed of God.
Just reflect on this:
If all who are hanged are cursed by God, than all hanged Christian martyrs were also cursed by God. So were the Old testament hero’s who were hanged by the Roman soldiers.
What Paul tries to explain is that those who has been hanged because they have sinned against the Law, were cursed. That does not include Christian martyrs, nor God the Son. Jesus the Messiah could not, and did not breake the Law.
Is it possible for a man to curse God?
Absolutely. Just read about all that Jesus had to go through. The first person who suggested that a man should curse God, was Job’s wife.
Job 2:9
His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”
To curse Abraham, is like cursing God. Because God will respond with a curse. To curse the poor and needy is also like cursing God. When Jesus comes back such people will be sent to Hell. Just read Matthew 25:31 onwards.
Is also possible of accusing God of cursing those who are not cursed. This kind of accusation has brought man made harm to the Jewish people. False teachers say God of he Bible cursed the Jews by giving them the Law of Moses. This kind of teachers explains that the Jews who have rejected the Messiah, are still cursed by God.
Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”.
In this teaching Paul the Jewish Apostles quotes from the Law of Moses. His teaching is often misused.
Deuteronomy 27:26
‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”
You are spiritual blind if you claim that the law of Moses is a curse. The Bible explains that a man who do not observe all the words of the Law, is cursed. That is a huge difference from claiming that the Law is a curse.
The Bible explains that the Law is good.
Psalm 119:92
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
We all sin, and therefore we all break the law. The Law makes us aware that we all need to be saved from our own sins.
1.John 3:4
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
All men needs to be saved from our sins. Only Jesus can save us.
