Stout shoes, not warm gloves, needed for the next steps on the ecumenical path
When the World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary, Olav Fykse Tveit, first visited Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in December 2010 he took with him a pair of warm gloves as a gift for the pontiff.
“In winter they protect well from the cold,” said Tveit, a Lutheran theologian well accustomed to the season of snow and ice in his Norwegian homeland. “So, in this time, which, according to some people is an ecumenical winter, they are a symbol of the possibility to go ahead, despite the difficulties.”
Almost eight years later, however, visiting Geneva on 21 June at the invitation of the WCC to celebrate its 70th anniversary, Pope Francis spoke not of winter but said he looked forward to the “flowering of a new ecumenical spring.”
Founded in 1948, the WCC today groups 350 Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican and other churches worldwide. The Roman Catholic Church is not a member, although it cooperates with the WCC in some areas.
The meeting in Geneva was described as an “ecumenical pilgrimage,” with the motto “Walking, praying and working together.”
It was the third papal visit after those of Pope Paul VI in 1969 and John Paul II in 1984.
While his predecessors on their visits each underlined the unique role of the papacy in Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis told the WCC he had come “as a pilgrim in quest of unity and peace.”
According to Martin Bräuer, an expert on Catholicism at the Institute for Ecumenical Research at Bensheim in Germany, Francis “deals with the issue of ecumenism in a different way than that with which we have been accustomed.”
The pope is “convinced that Christians must act and bear witness together, and must speak with one voice on the great challenges facing humanity such as solidarity, peace, the environment and justice.”

The spiritual conditions of many protestant churches are terrible. The Charismatic Pentecostal movement accept the Pope as a Christian brother. So do most mainline Churches. One of the mortal spiritual venom that spreads through the Churches on a global scale, is the New Apostolic Reformation movement. (NAR). They more or less secretly leads you back to spiritual prostitution, by praying with, working with and defending the Roman Catholic Church (RCC).
Be aware of such false brothers. And if possible name therm and expose them.
A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies shall perish.

I feel our team has done the job of a precent day prophet of God for the Bible. We have issued many warnings. Your blood shall not come upon our hands. We have displayed the disgraceful blasphemy of Rome. Those who walk back to the spiritual hore of Rome, run the risk of facing stern judgement. Such individuals will surely perish for their corruption, if they do not repent.

The Roman Church is not Christian! Never has been. It has deceived millions! One of my family members who was 100 died trusting Mary and her statue. It did not have to be! I have been in Irland several times for the last years. And I am aware of how Rome has falcified the legacy of Patrick, He was a baptist. The early Celtic Christians celebrated the Biblical Sabattah on the same night as Jesus, that is Friday night. And they celerbated Passover/Easter on the 14 of Nissan, according to the Jewish callender. Up to the synod of Whitby in 664 A.D. Few people are aware of this, because the Jesuit.s has taken over many Nations govermental schools and edcucational systems. Stay blessed sister.
Thank you Ivar. Maybe you could give us more information on Patrick sometime. I admire what he did. I read that Ireland was Christian for 600 years until the Roman Catholic Church Romanized it. I also read that the Roman Church did not call themselves “Christian” until 1965. That is only 53 years ago! In New York and several other states in the U.S. there are many Irish Catholics. It’s so very sad they don’t know the true History of their nation. Before President Kennedy they say there were no Catholic presidents but Washington was and many were masons which worship at every alter and worship many gods. Catholics run everything even the supreme court, even our vice president calls himself a Evangelical Catholic. I read the USA is about 25% Catholic, but the evangelical church has joined with them. Its been 501 years since the reformation and look what’s happening! They kill the “just” and take over. The same type of religious people wanted to kill Jesus. It’s the same thing as Israel did the church is doing also. They forgot the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and worshipped other gods. The Roman Eucharist is another god. Joining with the Roman Catholic Church for any reason makes God angry. It’s called fornication. Jesus is God! Praise the Lord! “Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in the day slaughter. Ye have condemned the just; and he doth not resist you. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord, Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. By reading the true history of the Christian faith, we will become aware that all revivals will come to an end. Normally into the third generation Christian leaders will turn into mini-popes, and religious rituals takes over the congregations. The next step, is to move towards a union with the RCC. The good news is that the gates of Hell shall never prevail against the true church of Jesus. As peolle fall away or take the road back to Rome, the Messiah will awake new people. A new and fresh revival will take the gospel to new place. The downfall of the Celtic Christianity took place in the same fashion, 1400 yers ago. Around 1100.A.D, it was just ruins left. The revival in Wales in 1902-1903 lasted for some years. More than 100.000 people was saved. Tomorrow, may be in your town?

Olav Fykse Tveit has been praying with Roman Catholic priests for a long time. A Lutheran leader. So do many Pentecostal in the New Apostolic Reformation movement. (NAR). The apostasy we see is terrible. First their blessings will be removed, and in the end they might loose their salvation because of their hypocricy.
