The Pope claims to know who have gone into Heaven, making them saints. The Bible says: Dont pray to spirits and the dead.

My wife was horrified, the day she understood what I was trying to tell her, and stopped praying in the name of Catholic saints. I told her:
«How do you know that this man was a saint, and are in Heaven? If this man was a hypocrite, he is certainly not in Heaven, and will not be able to listen to your prayers. But a demon wold like to answer you, claiming to be the «saint». Please pray in the name of Jesus only. Thats the only guaranty you have for not being taken for a ride by an unclean spirit»
Both King David and the Jewish Apostle Paul called people present in their time on Earth for saints.
Psalm 30:4
«Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name».
Romans 15:31
«Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there».
The prayer of the saints that comes up to Jesus, that He presents to our Father in Heaven, are from his living saints on Earth. Me and you. Not from departed Spirits.
To the radical opposite of whom the Bible tells us are the saints, the Pope of Rome waits till people have departed, before the Vatican starts the process of beautification and papal approval of sainthood.
I have always wonder how the Pope is able to search the heart of the departed. And how the Church is able to recall what kind of miracles that took place. Sometime the Vatican appoint their saint hundreds of years after their body and soul was separated.
The Word of God is telling us that what the Papal system are doing is wickedness, that will be punished.
Praying to and consulting the dead is paganism with roots in Egypt, presented as «Christianity» by Rome.
Isaiah 19:3
«The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the spiritists».
In First Samuel chapter 28, King Saul goes to the Witch of Endor, and ask her to call up the departed spirit of Samuel. He is strongly rebuked.
1. Sam 28:16:
Samuel said, «Why do you consult me, now that the LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy?»
To pray to departed spirits is basically inviting Satan to come and give you a religious spirit. The Messiah Jesus warned us sternly not to trust any other shepherds than Him.
John 10: 8-9
Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
John: 10: 14
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.
John 14:6
Jesus answered, «I am the way and the truth and the life No one comes to the Father except through me»
John 8:24
«I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins»
Please listen. Repent from you sin of praying in any other name than Jesus. Repent or perish.
It is possible, that some of the people the Pope has declared saints, have made it into the Kingdom of Heaven. I cant be sure, because neither the Pope or I, would be able to read their hearts. Neither of us are their final judge.
But I am afraid, that quite a few of the declared saints of Rome, have ended up in Hell. This human tragedy is bad enough. But even worse, is the amount of religions demons that have been released by faithful Catholics praying in such names.
Thats why the book of Revelation, speaks about a Church that has turned into a beast, and a house of demons:
Revelation 18:2
With a mighty voice he shouted: “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.
if you dont want to perish, you better get out of there, before its to late.

Dear Ivar,
You know I do not agree with all that is said here, but it is still a good and great way of pointing out your views and beliefs.
I can see by the Scriptures you have given why your beliefs are as they are, and I respect that.
I will agree to disagree with you, yet it is still a very good post regarding your beliefs. You have every right to believe this, and to back this up with the Scriptures which you gave.
Of course you know I am Catholic and I believe when we die once again as Jesus said, “We will be like Angels.” In saying that I believe that the Saints in heaven are like the Angels and can aid man in all things here on earth. I have had many prayers answered by God when I have asked a Saint to intercede for me.
I also like the personal touch you put on this post regarding the conversation of you and your wife. I can understand truly your doubts on “are these people in heaven or not?” I at one time in my life said the same thing. However I gave it a try and in my life it worked.
The important thing to me is that we all pray and it is clear by your post, you and your family do. Again good post, very clear and to the point.
God Bless, Sandy
For those who are shocked by this Ivar and myself have agreed to disagree. The reason being is both of us want to show others Christ first of all, and for any who do not know the Lord, and read these things, not to hinder any who want to know the Lord by our actions and our words. Ivar and myself have had some battles and even though we have, I believe Ivar truly has a calling by God to do what he is doing and a great God given talent for it. He also has wisdom which is being given to others in a mature Christian manner. We all need to respect one another and first and foremost Jesus must come first, regardless of our Church or the beliefs of that Church.
God Bless
Ivar, my only comment is that Revelation shows the Saints in heaven to be alive…How does the Church know who are saints? The Holy Spirit tells her.
I wonder if you can name one person you think should not be a saint that the Catholic Church has named a saint?
Dear David.
Lets go back to Popes in the Middle Ages. Even the Catholic Church it self has admitted that they might have made mistakes. I will give you examples. Lets start with Emperor Konstantine the great. He even killed his own brother after he claimed to have been converted to «Christianity». Its pretty bad to make such a brutal murderer a saint.
Now, to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit never goes against the scripture. What the Church might claim to be the Holy Spirit, will not surprisingly be a demon.
Constantine is not a saint in the Catholic Church. Name the pope that was canonized that the Church says they made a mistake?
Jesus proclaimed to Peter that the gates of hell would not prevail against his church, which is the Catholic Church. So the Church in 2000 years, has been inerrant. You’re right that the Holy Spirit never contradicts scripture. He hasn’t.
Dear David.
When i google Catholic saint Constantine, I get 382.000 hits….
Let me quote from Wikipedia:
«The Byzantine liturgical calendar, observed by the Eastern Orthodox Church and Eastern Catholic Churches of Byzantine rite, lists both Constantine and his mother Helena as saints. Although he is not included in the Latin Church’s list of saints, which does recognize several other Constantines as saints, he is revered under the title “The Great” for his contributions to Christianity».
The «great murderer» I presume? Since He presided as Emperor and head over the first Church councils, that made the first Roman Catholic doctrines:
Was it Jesus or a demon that gave him permission to murder his own brother?
Orthodox is not Catholic. Byzantine is not Roman Catholic.
Constantine did far more good than he did wrong. Moses was also a murderer…
Dear David.
Thanks for this comment. Byzantine is not Roman Catholic. Well, I guess it made no difference for those who accepted him to head the Church Council.
The difference between Moses and Constantine is obvious to those who want to understand. Moses was a murderer before He was called by God. Constantine was a murderer after He claimed he had become a Christian.
The secret here is that when Constantine became emperor, he moved his government to Constantinople, which IS the seat of the Byzantine Rite.
You actually give too much credit to Constantine. He simply legalized the Christian religion for the Mediterranean world. He tried to meddle in the affairs of the Church, he thought that by granting them legal status he had the right to control him, and granted, he did have influence. He did not invent the Catholic faith, as you believe. Jesus did. Constantine could not have committed murder after his conversion. He converted on his death bed.
Dear David.
I do not give Constantine to much credit. Its the Roman Catholic Church that calls him «Constantine the great». I have just explained that he murdered his own brother after he claimed to have become a Christian.
Dear David.
You wrote:

My comment:
What more non sense are you going to give us before you stop? Constantine was not converted but was baptized on his dying bed. Why did he do that? Because some false teachers had told him, that baptism washed away the guilt of sins. If he was baptized earlier, He had to stop sinning. Like no longer being able to kill and murder people who did not agree with him. This is «Constantine the Great», the patron of the Roman Church.
People are baptized at their conversion, Ivar. There is no conversion without baptism.
Constantine earned the title of “Great” on his own. Where is your evidence that he killed his brother, and did you find anything about why? Did the brother commit treason, or some other crime against the state? As with Moses, who committed the same crime while he believed in the God of Israel (not before as you state) even good men commit sins. Even you. You have sinned after you were baptized. I’m positive. So has every saint the Church has. My point…so what. They’re just like the rest of us. But they strived to be holy. And that’s what matters to God.
Dear David.
People who dont believe, can not be baptized. You have to believe first, than you will of your own free will go to the river.
I remember a Lutheran Pastor once saying to the infant during the religious ritual:. «And now I will baptize you, either you want it or not».
I would have liked to see the faces of the parents, if the infant had answered…
Dear David.
You wrote:
Name the pope that was canonized that the Church says they made a mistake?
My first answer:
Let me start with a saint that does not exist:
St. Veronica Didn’t Exist-
The Veronica who didn’t exist is the one in the Roman Catholic Church-sponsored legend who wiped the sweat from Jesus’ brow with her veil as he toiled along the streets of Jerusalem carrying his cross to Calvary. The veil was said to have retained the image of Jesus’ face and Veronica later cured emperor Tiberius (14-37 AD) from something unspecified with a touch of the veil. The legend says Veronica left the veil in the keeping of Clement I (fourth Pope-88-97) and it’s been in the Vatican’s vault ever since.
There is no mention of Veronica in the Bible.
However, the legend is commemorated in the RCC Stations of the Cross. She was made a Saint. And her veil is kept in a vault in the Vatican where it’s trotted out once a year for pilgrims to view and venerate. The non-existent Veronica’s feast day is July 12.
Now here’s where the story gets really bizarre. The veil of a woman who never was, disappeared from the Vatican in 1608.
My comment:
Was it God or the Pope who changed his mind in regards to this Catholic saint?
When you pray to a person that have not even existed, and venerate and adore a fiction, you can not deny, that the demons will rejoice.
Hitler’s not in the Bible either. Did he exist?
Regarding Veronica, where is the mistake? That she’s lost in history? Well, that doesn’t make her sanctification a mistake.
On the other hand, she is not a canonized saint. A saint by popular proclamation, true. Canonized by the Church, false.
You don’t know that she never existed, Ivar, plain and simple.
Dear David.
Do you really believe what you just wrote?…..Or do you just have to find an excuse for defending, what does not deserve to be defended?
You attack, I defend. I was being sarcastic, but there are lots of people who were around during biblical times that we don’t know very much about. In some cases, we know so little that we can’t even describe any event of their life. Others we know, but they aren’t in the Bible, such as Mary’s mother and father, Anna and Joachim.
What we do have is sacred tradition about these figures. The disciples knew them. So they aren’t in the bible? I say it makes no difference.
And again, we have a process for a long time, of how sainthood is determined. These are canonized saints. Many throughout our history have not been canonized, but publically declared, and granted by popular demand. St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, for example.
And I could turn the question around. You seem to find any reason to attack the Catholic Church, even claiming as Catholic things that aren’t. You’re attacking things that don’t deserve to be attacked.
Again, if you make erroneous statements, I will be here to correct them.
Dear David.
You wrote:

One of my answers:
Some Popes have «become» saints, some have not. Why have not God granted all the popes sainthood? I mean, since the Bible says that the living followers of Jesus are the saints?
All popes are not saints because not all had the demonstrable personal holiness to become saints. Just because someone is not declared a saint doesn’t mean they aren’t one. A saint is simply one the Church declares to be definitively in heaven.
You still have not named one person who was canonized and then the Church said ‘oops, we made a mistake.’ Or any person that has been canonized that anybody has found fault with…
Dear David
You wrote:

My comment:
So the Popes that have not been declared saints, there is no confirmation from God that they are «definitively in heaven»….?
Ivar,
“The veil disappeared from Vatican in 1608”
It did. When the part of the Basilica containing the relic was scheduled to be torn down for remodeling the relic disappeared.
According to records in monastery the wife of a solider sold the veil to a nobleman of Monopello in 1608 to get her husband out of jail. The nobleman, donated it to Capuchins. In 1618 it was placed in a walnut frame adorned in silver and gold between two sheets of glass. It remained in the monastary ever since. Fr. Pfeiffer invested 13 years of searching through archives to prove this is the same cloth that disappeared in 1608
Scientific Investigation: Ultra-violet examinations of the cloth, carried out by Prof. Donato Vittore of the University of Bari, confirm that the image is not paint. There are several small flecks of reddish brown presumably drops of blood from the wounds caused by the crown of thorns. Enlarged photos showed that the image is identical on both sides of the cloth, which could not be achieved by ancient techniques. The photos have also been used to compare the veil with the Shroud of Turin. The similarities were apparent. The faces are of the same shape, both have shoulder length hair, with a tuft on the forehead, and the beards match.
Just some update but what I found interesting I never caught that the Veronica story was not in the Bible. I always presumed it was and I went to everything I had here and there is nothing in there regarding the wiping of the face of Jesus. I do not know where I read that but I have read it somewhere. I always thought I read it in the Bible. So I learned something.
Dear Sandy.
Shalom, and love in Jesus from Nazareth.
Thanks for helping me. I do not know much about catholic relics. But I know, that I will be able to make an endless story….
Endless Story……..I have great faith in that:>) So be sure and do not let me down now???
Glad could be of some help, it just amazed me about the story not being in the Bible. Isn’t it amazing how you read or hear something sometimes and you could of sworn it came from the Bible. It kind of shocked me honestly.
That is what we are here for, to teach and learn.
Once again goodnight or goodmorning which ever side of the sun we are on. Sandy
Dear God,
Your Word and acts of the past demonstrate to me Your desires to reflect Your nature and power through every individual–including me! I know that’s because those who reflect Your glory affect the world. I pray that in all situations I face, I will be obedient and dependent upon You and give You all the praise and glory, so that You will demonstrate Your power that all people may know of Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your Kingdom. I’d like to be able to say, with the Apostle Paul, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power” (1 Cor. 2:4-5). Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Dear Makarios.
Thanks for this prayer. I agree with you. Its time to let the religious people go….
In our example, in Jerusalem, 3000 people were converted…and their families. This includes infants. Their belief was spoken for by their parents.
There’s nothing in the bible that says you must be an adult.
Paul even calls baptism the replacement for circumcision, which was done to infants at the age of 8 days.
They’re not praying to the spirit of JP2. They’re praying to Christ that He will have mercy on the soul of the dearly departed JP2.
If they prayed to the soul of JP2 as an ends of grace they wouldn’t be catholic.
They can ask JP2 to pray for them to God, as the bible references the prayers of the dead are offered to God (revelations).
We pray for all our departed brothers and sisters.
Dear Peter.
Shalom.
The Bible warns us to leave the dead alone. To consult the dead is a grave sin. When the Catholics pray in the name of a saint or a madonna, they will not be entertained by Jesus. He will have no objection, to let the devil take them for a ride, because of their sin and disobedience.
God our Father except only one mediator between Him self and man, and that is Jesus the Messiah. Pray to Him, or in His name only.
Most of my relatives are Catholic and I have only love for the Catholic people. However, when I was a young girl I remember a priest telling us we should not attempt to read the Bible, because we would not understand it. I went on for many years believing that. It was good to light candles and pray at the foot of a statue. It was good to dip our fingers in “holy water,” and make the sign of the cross. It was good to repeat a novena for 9 days to a “saint” or to recite the rosary over and over again, but DO NOT read the Bible; you just won’t understand it.
By the time I was a young adult, I had a long list of unanswered prayers and I really needed help. I thought, “if there is a God in heaven I’m going to find Him.” I did what I was always told NOT to do. I read the Bible from cover to cover. Sure enough, I found Jesus and learned that only He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. He is a jealous God and will not share His glory with any other.
When Jesus said that there is only one mediator between God and man and He is that Mediator, just how can anyone add to that?
He said it and it should be settled. Stephen was the first Christian martyr, yet there is no record of the early disciples praying to him. Nor did they pray to Moses or any of the other Old Testament saints. Someone in an earlier post said that when we die we are like the angels and help people. Well, where in Scripture does is say that any angel or saint in heaven is Amighty, All Knowing, and Omnipresent. They are not equal to God and only Christ can search the hearts of men and both hear and answer their prayers. He alone is our Mediator.
Why debate?
Given the choice shouldn’t we all prefer going to Jesus? What attraction do saints have that our Glorious Lord doesn’t have? Pray in His name. He said we should, so shouldn’t we be obedient and do as He has commanded?
Dear Leah…
Shalom, and welcome with this comment.
If you ever meet them, please tell my Catholic family that I love them. Tell them to love Jesus more than all.
Dear ivarfjeld,
Shalom, and thank you for your welcome.
I love my Catholic family very much too. But the love I have for them is small compared to the great love that Jesus (Yeshua) has for them. Thank God He is not done with any of us yet.
I don’t know which Messiah the Zionists are praying for? I liked what UK Cabinet Minister Edwin Montagu (a Jew opposed to Zionism) said in the Early 20th century hypothesising that it may be Balfour (Baalfour) or Rothschild:-))))
Dear Dogoth.
Shalom, and welcome to this site.
We should not harm the Jews. All our blessings have come out of Israel, also the Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. How do we know, why its wrong to lie?
Its because the Law of Moses explains this to us. If it had not been for the Jews, we would still have left without a clue about what God of the Bible expects from us.
David says:

“Hitler’s not in the Bible either. Did he exist?

Hitler Bible
A surviving copy of a ‘Nazi Bible’ has been discovered in Hamburg, Germany. The extant copy, one of about 100,000 originally distributed to German churches, contains a rewritten version of the Ten Commandments and has been purged of all Jewish words, such as Hallelujah or Jehovah. In Hitler’s Bible there are twelve commandments, including such exhortations as “Honor your Fuhrer” and “Keep the blood pure and holy.” Hitler sent the Bible, entitled Germans With God to German Christians in 1941 in an attempt to “Nazify” the church and expunge “outdated” sentiments like mercy and love. The Nazi Bible, being the product of professors set to redact the ancient text, was stripped of all references to the Jews or compassion, and was meant to support Hitler’s view of Aryan supermen dominating the world’s lesser races. It is believed that Christians destroyed most copies of the book.
In the Bible, Saints are always real living people. The word Saint is always “Saints” Plural and refers to all living christiains. There is only 1 instance of singlar and it says “every saint”. The Bible never tells us to pray to anyone other than God. Jesus said for us to go directly to God through Jesus. The Bible tells us there is only one intermediate between God and man and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible goes even furhter to say that it is wrong to pray to the dead.
The Catholic church over the years has done so much damage to Christianity. It’s sole purpose it to deminish the work that Jesus did on the cross. He died and paid the price of sin so we would not have to and the catholics preach continual sacrifice and good works are required to get into heaven. Pray to dead, pray rosary, purgatory, confess to a priest etc. All of this flies in contradiction to the word of God. The catholic church continually tries to take away the powers of Christ and bestown it on themselves as if they are some almighty knowing individuals.
For by grace are you saved, not by works lest any man should boast.
For there is one intercessor between god and man and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you confess your sins to God he is willing to forgive you of those sins.
Yesssss!! Bless your Holy and precious name!!
who wants everyone to use the name g-zeus? does the Father? does the Son? no, satan does. and he can perform miracles, too. i’m not saying that all miracles performed in the name of g-zeus, are from satan but it is possible. don’t you think satan would do that to keep people using the wrong name?

Just read this now! Very good article!
Hi Ivar,
What I found particularly revolting in this idolatrous painting of John Paul II, is the prominent display of the “broken cross” (also known as the “bent cross”). John Paul II seemed to be particularly fond of using it, but it is frankly Satanic. From the time of Vatican II (1962-1965), it has been in use by the Popes. Roman Catholic writer, Piers Compton explains it in his book, “The Broken Cross: Hidden Hand in the Vatican”: “…This Bent Crucifix is…a sinister symbol, used by Satanists in the sixth century…Its use had been revived at the time of Vatican II. This was a bent or broken cross, on which was displayed a repulsive and distorted figure of Christ, which the black magicians and sorcerers of the Middle Ages had made use of to represent the Biblical term ‘Mark of the Beast’. Yet, not only Paul VI, but his successors, the two John-Pauls [and now, Pope Benedict XVI], carried that object and held it up to be revered by crowds, who had not the slightest idea that it stood for anti-Christ.” (p. 72).”
What was Pope John Paul II signalling to all the anti-Christians world-wide? That he was not the “traditional conservative” that was claimed by the Vatican public relations office, but a Pope that was committed to carrying out the role of False Prophet in Satan’s New World Order Plan. Stunningly bold, it defies belief, except that another Roman Catholic author, Malachi Martin, makes this same claim. In his book, “The Keys To This Blood,” Martin charged that Pope John Paul II was committed to the New World Order Plan and that the use of the “broken cross” was evidence of it. As a further sinister note, Malachi Martin died under what many feel were suspicious circumstances. The current Pope Benedict XVI also seems quite fond of using the “broken cross” crucifix. Could it just be a matter of ignorance? Highly doubtful.
In looking at the pictures of Ratzinger’s “coronation” as Pope Benedict XVI, he carried the “broken cross” but I also noticed something further. His golden robe had two seashells prominently displayed on the front. There are two ties to the occult there. The Roman goddess, Venus (copied from the Greek goddess, Aphrodite) is identified with the symbol of the seashell since she was typically depicted as rising out of the sea from a seashell. The tradition of Venus/Aphrodite draws from the even more ancient Middle Eastern/Babylonian goddess myths of The Queen of Heaven (whose worship was condemned in the Book of Ezekiel). (The RCC hierarchy often refers to Mary as “the Queen of Heaven”.) The other tie is to the golden “bishop’s mitre” that he wears a symbol of the Middle Eastern/Babylonian “fish god,” Dagon. Could the pagan/anti-Christ idolatry be any more obvious?!
Well the Illuminati have their plan that the pope shall be the religious figure under their New World Order!

ORIGINAL SIN PROOF-TEXT BY STEVE FINNELL
The original proof-text for original sin is Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. (NASB)
Was David a sinner at conception? No. Was David a guilty of sin at his birth? No. David was a sinner only after he broke God’s commandments.
Psalm 51: 1 Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to your compassion blot out my transgressions. (NASB)
David asked God to blot out his transgressions. David did not asked God to blot out the guilt that he inherited from Adam. He did not ask God to block out the guilt of sins that he inherited from his mother and father.
Psalm 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin. (NKJV)
David wanted to be cleansed from his sin. David did not ask God to cleanse him from original sin.
Psalm 51:3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me. (NASB)
David did not transgress one of God’s laws by being conceived. David did not commit sin by being born.
Psalm 51:4 Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. (NKJV)
David did not do evil by being conceived and being born.
Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. (NASB)
David was conceived in a sinful world. David was born into a world filled with sinner’s. David was not guilty of the false teaching of original sin.
Psalms 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. (NASB)
God formed David in his mothers womb. God did not create David guilty of Adam’s sin nor guilty of anyones sin. God does not create sin. How could a sinner be wonderfully made?
Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image , in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (NASB)
God created David in His own image. Is God’s image that of a sinner? David was created innocent of sin just like every person that God creates today. All men are created in God’s image.
Mark 10:14 …”Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (NASB)
Jesus said the kingdom of God belongs to children. Did Jesus mean the kingdom belongs to dirty little sinners who were guilty of Adam’s sin at conception. Did Jesus mean that children who were sinners at birth belong in God’s kingdom.
If the false doctrine of original sin is true how did these children have their sins wash away. Jesus gave this command after His death. Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved…). Small children and infants are not guilty of sin.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,(NASB)
Men will go hell because of the unforgiven sins they commit. Men will not go to hell because they were sinners at conception. Men will not go to hell because they were sinners at their birth.
Men will not go to hell because they are guilty of Adam’s sin.
Men will not go to hell because they are guilty of a false sin.
The doctrine of original sin is a false doctrine invented by man and perpetuated by the uninformed.
