And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
God is holy and good, Men are not. We are walking in sin, and deserve to die and end up in Hell. Our eye causes us to sin every day. And if we could not find salvation if the blood of Jesus, we would all end up without eyes and limbs. And the «health and wealth» preachers should put to their heart that Jesus said that ending up in Heaven without eyes and limbs, is not the worst than can happen to a man.

This verse is an ancient Hebrew idiom. Evil eye, evil arm. Jewish idiom means don’t be stingy to the poor.
