Shots have been fired near the US Capitol in Washington DC after a high-speed police chase.
Kim Dine of the Capitol Police told reporters it is thought it was an “isolated incident” and not terrorism.
A police officer was injured, he said. The US Capitol was briefly on lockdown and President Obama was briefed on the incident.
The shooting happened two weeks after 12 people were killed and three injured in a shooting at nearby Navy Yard.
One eyewitness told the BBC he heard 10-12 shots following a car chase near the Capitol.

Many Americans are armed through their teeth. They see a dangerous alien in every bystander on the street, and a possible serial killer around every bush.

Living in the United States I am concerned. I am well aware of the agenda change and continually asking God for forgiveness. I am tired of the media trying to manipulate our thoughts and actions. Amen Ivar! We do need to repent. The capitol went crazy over one woman, a hygienist who had the same symptoms as the other shooter, microwaves-hearing voices and the like (invading the thoughts of people). Demons do that. You think our governments have a way of manipulating people through this technology Ivar?
We are medicated at every symptom in America. I have episodes of Vertigo (dizziness) that doctors can not find a source or reason as to why I have vertigo .. the solution ..meds … one medication I took I had a severe reaction of anger ..I immediately went off the medication.. if you research the medications.. especially those beginning with the word ANTI- you will find the side effects outrageous. The ANTI- meds are also addictive. Governments have a way of manipulating people through this technology.
