Back in 2006 Rick Warren greeted Bashar al-Ashad. The Saddleback pastor branded Syria as “a moderate nation” who do not “permit extremism”.
After the latest article in the local Newspaper in Orange County California, those who are critical of Rick Warrens interfaith projects with Muslims, are branded by Warren as “I hate Saddleback bloggers”.
Unfortunately for Warren, many of the people he brands as “haters” do not hate anyone. But they do not buy his “PEACE-plan”.
Most of the people Warren portray as enemies of Saddleback, do love Jesus. They also claim that Muhammad is a false prophet. The truth about Muhammad will probably never come out of Warrens mouth.
Also to Rick Warrens disadvantage: His flattering of Imams and Mosques is recorded on video. Like the video from World Economic Forum in Davos.
There is also a Audio-recording from his visit to Syria in 2006. This audio-tape expose Warren as at best, a be-friend’er of an Islamic dictator. One of the worst enemies of the state of Israel.
Please listen to the audio-clip recorded on the site, and evaluate Warren based on his own words. Under is the transcript:
Rick Warren: November 2006:
“Syria’s a place that has Muslims and Christians living together for 1,400 years. So it’s a lot more peaceful, honestly, than a lot of other places because Christians were here first.
“In fact, you know Saul of Tarsus – Saul was a Syrian. St. Paul, on the road to Damascus, had his conversion experience and so Christians have been here the longest, and they get along with the Muslims and the Muslims get along with them. There’s a lot less tension than in other places.
“It’s a moderate country, and the official government rule and position is to not allow any extremism of any kind.”
The Official Syrian Arab News Agency issued the following report from Rick Warrens visit to Basher al-Assad.
On November 13, 2006, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported as follows in an article, American priest says no peace without Syria:
“American Protestant Pastor Rick Warren on Monday said there was no peace in the region without Syria, noting that 80 percent of the American people rejected what the US Administration is doing in Iraq and considered the US policy in the Mideast as wrong.
“Syria’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Badr al-Din Hassoun received the American Pastor in Damascus in which he referred to the importance of spreading culture of amity, peace and coexistence instead of the ‘clash of civilizations’.
“The Mufti called for conveying the real image of Syria, national unity and its call to spread peace, amity and justice to the American people which the US administration has distorted their image before the world.
“Pastor Warren expressed admiration of Syria and the coexistence he saw between Muslims and Christians, stressing that he will convey this image to his church and country.”
Warren and his delegation also interviewed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to discuss relations between Syria and the USA.
Forget about me being critical to Rick Warrens “PEACE- plan”, and please forgive me if I am wrong in my take on Saddleback Church.
I know November 2006 is a long time ago, and that the six day war of 1967 is almost unknown in Christian circles:
But please listen to what Rick Warren has to say, in particular in regards to his finding of “Christians” in Syria:
Where did Rick Warren find them?
Like in Turkey, Evangelical Christianity has been terminated by the followers of Muhammad. In Turkey today, only 0,2 per cent of the Population are Christians.
Officially there are 10 per cent “Christians” in Syria. All of them accept the Papacy in Rome, and accept Islam as a “holy religion”. Like Warren and World Council of Churches (WCC), the Muslims and “Christians” in Syria jointly fight for the liberation of “Palestine”.
They want the Muslims to reoccupy the Golan and take al-Quds (Jeusalem). They want the words of the Koran to go out from a “Palestine” cleansed for Jews.
All who are not blind will be able to see and understand.
