The U.S. government did not immediately release any photographs or other visual evidence to confirm the death.
A senior U.S. intelligence official said bin Laden was “visually identified” at the compound by U.S. Special Operations Forces and by one of his wives.
On Monday morning, U.S. officials completed tests that showed a “virtually 100 percent match of the body” with DNA collected from other bin Laden family members.
US officials declined to say whether an autopsy was conducted.
Analysts predicted that al-Qaeda itself would soon confirm bin Laden’s death, as the network customarily has within short order after other top leaders have been killed. They said it was likely that bin Laden had pre-recorded a video or audio message that would now be released.

Why is there no picture of the dead body of Osama Bin Laden?
Let us say that Washington became aware that Bin Laden is already dead of kidney failure.
If so, the al-Quada would never admit that their icon leader has died. And the US could never provide evidence, that they had been able to kill the man they have spent 2 trillion US dollar to silence.
To kill an already dead man, and dump a corpse in the sea, would be a unique publicity stunt for the White House. Who would ever be able to prove them wrong?
Only if Osama Bin Laden appear on TV, and prove that He is still alive…
I guess if Washington has hundred per cent secure evidence that Osama has died of kidley failure, the risk of him appearing on TV alive is zero. And who will now believe al-quada, if they claim Osama Bin Laden died long ago?

Mainstream media used an altered image of Osama’s corpse, only to be proven later as false. As a result they pulled the image, and blamed the fake photo on “conspiracy theorists”. Supposedly, the body was burned and then cast out to sea. According to them, this is Islamic tradition, despite a lot of Islamic leaders voicing that it is indeed not. Furthermore, why would they be so quick to dispose of the “evidence”? I also do recall, as you mentioned, the numerous admissions that Bin Laden had died of kidney failure just 9 or so years ago. Truly amazing to see the great lengths the American government takes to keep things hush-hush.
Osama was a very very physically sick man that lived in a cave in the mountains for years. He died a few years ago, my opinion and the opinion of others.
There are conflicting news stories. Some say the death happened a week ago. Some say, it happened yesterday. The US govt. says they followed Islamic law in the burial which means they must be buried within 24 hours. So which is it, a week ago or yesterday???
It is true that they showed Saddam’s body quickly.
They say the pics are too graphic to release of Bin Laden, but I say they should release the photos.

There is a possibility that we took him alive and that the quick burial at sea was a ruse to disuade people from trying to visit or exhume is grave. He may be in custody somewhere and being interrogated as we speak. No one will ever know that he’s alive and we could execute him when we are done gathering intelligence from him.
