False teachings about glory for Egypt in the Messianic age

Malcolm Hedding teaches that Egypt “is destined for Glory” in the Messianic Age.

Malcolm Hedding teaches wrong about the Messianic Age.

What will happen when Jesus the Messiah returns to Earth?

Will there be blessings and glory for some time, for the ungodly and the wicked?

Will Egypt find favor at the throne of the Messiah, for sheltering Baby Jesus?

Or will the World be ruled with an iron rod by King Messiah, who will do the final separation of people bound for Heaven or Hell?

Malcolm Hedding is the Executive director of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.

In his analysis of the Political situation in Egypt, Hedding seems to preach a different way of salvation for the Egyptians. A strange kind of “post-judgment Messianic age blessings followed by reversal and final judgment”.

This is what has been published on the Embassy’s website:

“Actually, if it were not for God’s supernatural deliverance we would all perish because Jesus said, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy and to escape these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36) Makes one think doesn’t it?”

“However, this is not the end of the story. Egypt is destined for glory! She gave shelter to the Christ child and thus preserved his life. (Matthew 2:13-15) She historically attacked the Messianic line but in the end gave protection to the Messiah. God has not forgotten this and thus, in the end, in the Messianic age, she will be united gloriously with Israel and Assyria and become a highway of blessing! (Isaiah 19:18-25) If it were not for the grace of God we would all perish!”.

My comment:

No doubt, man has supernatural deliverance in the blood of Jesus. And deliverance only by the blood of Jesus, the blood He shed on the cross at Calvary Hill.

Still Malcolm Hedding teaches that it might be possible that there is post-judgment blessings for those who did not accept Jesus as savior and Master in this life. Hedding believe that there will be a supernatural deliverance and grace for the wicked, after the return of Jesus.

There are two major errors in this kind of teachings: I have made Hedding aware of this is an exchange of emails, and told Him I will publish this article if he do not repent.

1. Another way than the cross

That Egypt might have achieved a righteousness of her own by giving shelter to baby Jesus, is an addition to the scripture. This kind of Messianic end time view, opens up the Pandora box of different ways for men to be justified and saved.

2. The ICEJ-gospel of good works

That the Egyptians has gained a righteousness in the shelter of baby Jesus, is a strange gospel of good works. There might be other people, like Buddhists and Hindus, who have done great things that might impress God the Father.  Rather than the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and the righteousness found in the blood of the Lamb of God.

The scriptures is very clear that Malcolm Hedding is wrong.  When Jesus returns, He will return as the Lion of Judah, and bring judgment on all who did not obey Him. No second chance.

Romans 2:5
But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Hebrews 9:26-28
Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

1 Peter 4:17
For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

2 Peter 2:9
if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

2 Peter 3:7
By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

1 John 4:17
This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

(end of scriptures)

The spirit of anti-Christ will surely be able to agree with all who say “Egypt is destined for glory”. Millions will hail such a message, and a false unity around a compromising ecumenical brotherhood will rule the World just before the Messiah returns.  These kind of preachers will not preach the gospel, and call people to repent or perish. I pray for my brother Malcolm Hedding, who I feel has walked into deception.

  1. Hi Ivar!
You are a brave man and I’m glad that you want the word of God be proclaimed right. There is only one way to God. No one will get a shortcut out of Jesus. In John 3.16-21.   16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

    1. Dear Martin.

      Shalom.

Let me confess that I do make mistakes, and will surely do in the future. I also misunderstand, and teach the Word of God not correctly once in a while. On such days, I thank Jesus, who sends His sons and daughters to rebuke me, and correct me in love. When I make mistakes, I have to repent, and issue an apology.

In regards to the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, I will also issue a public apology if I have acted outside of Christian ethics, or misused the Word of God. Now both Malcolm Hedding and my case is presented in public. The readers can make up their mind, who of us are in error.

      1. I find Ivar, that some (not all) Christians have a problem with being corrected.

I do not understand this concept, since we are all not perfect and do mistakes. I have been reading the Bible since I was a little girl, and still do not know everything there is to know about the Word of Christ.

May God continue to Bless you Ivar, and the Work you do in Jesus name.

        Gloria

  2. We have to accept ALL Scripture..and I read in Romans, 9, 10 , and 11 those three chapters tell us , Paul speaking thru the HS. that G-d BLINDED the Jews for us heathen so we would have the power to become sons of G-d. In the eleventh chapter in Romans 11:1 it says, has G-d forgotten Israel..NO..that He set them aside. and before HE said, suport Israel and the Jews and ..does all think He set them aside to kill all of them?? to think like that is wrong for me and conterdicks HIS word..starting from genesis 12:3 He curses those who do’t bless Israel. we owe them a debt who gave us Salvation thru them and scripture and also the deciples etc. we owe them a debt…HE says, on one killed me as I came to lay down my life ..He also said, when my feet hit the holy Hill Mt of Olive that HE will bring up the dead, that HE is coming with Redemption and will take away sin, give them a pure heart and they will mourn for a first love and every knee will bow and say HE is our G-d and Christ says I Am your G-d. Could Paul and G-d HImself be wrong..not for me..No church replaces the Jews , no one..and those who love Israel and those who pay attenion of ALL of G-ds word would agree that HE IS bring Salvation to the Jews…I don’t care what men say, I only Believe G-d. also in the very end, HE said, Egypt my people…also that is why so many churches believe the lie ..that they replaced Israel, If G-d can graft is in, how much easyier HE will graft the Jews , the natural in..shalom

  3. It seems like he is speaking for the nation as a whole. But The whole earth is utterly destroyed, wiped clean with fire.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

But then perhaps rebuilt, and I could see Egypt being in there. “The leaves of the tree for the healing of nations” Rev. 22:2
