Letter of love to Catholics, Muslims and Jews

Dear Sophia.

In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve was told to worship Him in Spirit and truth. They were not told to make statues and images of God. Simply because they could not see Him. They could hear his voice….

Let us start with the beginning, and lets take God of the Bible´s perspective.

The people who wrote down His Words, could not see Him. But they heard his voice. Jesus did not permit his students to make statues and images. It was basically a sin against God`s commandments. In fact, the 2nd Commandment.

When Jesus told us to pray, He told us to go into our room, and pray to our Father who is unseen.

If He had told us to go inside our room and bow down to a statue, and than start to pray, Jesus was no longer in agreement with His Father, but a sinful man.

The Jews did no recognize Him as the Messiah, by looking at a statue of him, or a picture. They had never seen him. They recognized him, by reading the scriptures. The Old Testament, which the Jewish people calls the Tanakh and the Torah. Thats why the Muslims calls us «The people of the book».

The Messiah was supposed to have been born by a virgin: He was also suppose to have been born in Bethlehem, and to enter Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. Marvelous signs and wonders was supposed to happen in his footsteps.

Read Isaiah 53, and see if you can recognize his perfect atonement for sins as He died on the cross, and His resurrection.

Many people did. The first Church was a Church of Jews who believed that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of being the promised Davidic King, King Messiah.

«Son of David, have mercy on me.».

How could a blind Jew cry out this message? Because He had been told about a Jewish savior, that would arise from the bloodline of King David, a Jewish King, King Messiah. Now this divine Son of God was passing by.

Before Jesus returns as the Lion of Judah to judge the World, there will be a false Messiah sitting in God`s temple.

Like during His first coming, The Jewish Messiah will return in accordance with the scripture. The False Messiah (antichrist) will not.

The False Messiah might look like the Catholic picture of Jesus, white, pale and blue eyed.

But could a Jew who walked in the blasting sun of the Middle East look like this ?

Where did the Roman Catholic Church go wrong?

The wrong path, started when Rome entered into the Church around 325 A.D. The Roman Empire was full of idols, in form of statues. The were no statues or images in the Temple in Jerusalem.

The Holy Spirit will never enter into a building, with statues, idols made by sinful men. Not even statues sinful men claims to be of «Jesus». But powerful and deceptive religious Spirits would love to live in such sinful buildings and statues.

The Catholic Messiah-idol, still hangs on a cross. Not able to get down. You have to ask your self :Why?

Who would be more than happy, if Jesus was only a prophet, not even able to save Him self?

This dead idol can not be my Lord. It might make Lucifer and his dark angles happy, but not a Bible believing Christian. My Lord is alive. The empty cross, and the empty grave , is a sign of His victory over death.

We are not called to a funeral. We are called to walk in the Power of His Resurrection. My Lord is not the Lord of the dead, but Lord of the living.

The Holy Spirit does not any longer live in buildings made by men. After the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70.A.D, the Holy Spirit lives in the heart of all who obey the Word of God, and give honor and glory to King Y´shua, the Jewish Messiah.

If you want to obey the Word of God, and receive the Holy Spirit. Get out from Rome.

  1. There are different ways to open the eyes, of different people. They all struggle to find and understand the truth.

  2. Just to add to ur statement here. God in exodus 20:4-5 commanded against the making of idols “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Ok so its clear that the true God only wants our worship towards him and not any false gods and idols. And some ppl by reading this think that drawing a picture of Jesus is wrong but lets jump to Exodus 25
” 1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. 3 And this is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze; 4 blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair; 5 ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; 6 oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; 7 onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. 8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.”

So here God commanded moses to make a sanctuary for him so ppl would remember him by it. So is this contradicting exodus 20? No..exodus 20 is clearly speaking of worshiping others gods and idols but if our worship is going to the true heavenly God then its clear that weare allowed to make images or carvings or else god wouldnt have commaded it in exodus 25.

U also spoke about not the porphets of the old testament couldnt see God to draw a picture of him but have u see God? Listen to what Jesus said and what he is described with by paul.john 14:8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has SEEN ME has SEEN the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
(so we know that Jesus in the image of the invisible father so having a picture of Jesus is seeing God’s image how more beautiful can it be)

and here is how paul describes Jesus collossians 1:15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

(So its not wrong to make a picture or a statue in order to remember God but is wrong to make false idols where u are not worshipping God but those false gods)

    1. Johnny,

Your Comment: So here God commanded moses to make a sanctuary for him so ppl would remember him by it. So is this contradicting exodus 20? No..exodus 20 is clearly speaking of worshiping others gods and idols but if our worship is going to the true heavenly God then its clear that weare allowed to make images or carvings or else god wouldnt have commaded it in exodus 25.

My Comment: People who think that the bible contradicts itself, are people who are saying that God is contradicting himself, which is impossible since he is Holy and the creator of all things.

Exodus chapter 25 and the chapters which follow are all about the building of the tabernacle. God wanted to dwell in the midst of His people and therefore He told Moses to build the tabernacle. The children of Israel did not have a Bible like we do today. But they did have the tabernacle, and this special tent helped them to understand certain things about the Lord Jesus Christ and what He would do for them. They could not read the Bible, but they could look at the tabernacle and learn much about God and how to come to God.

God wanted them to know who he was, and understand him. Moses helped God, by building this tabernacle.

      God Bless.

    2. I do understand where you are coming from, but there is still a bit of falicy. You might think it is innocent or even honoring to make a drawing of Jesus. I personally do not think that is sin itself, but those who make drawings seem to act as if the drawing (or painting or jewelry) has some sort of significance when it is just a man made item. My point is that the images can lead to sin (though not always).

Also the old covenant scripture you refer to is God telling His people what to do EXACTLY. It is not of their own idea. Huge difference. Does that make sense? Im not saying to remove a nice painting from your home or throw away your jewelry. Just examine your attachment to the items you might have.

  3. In Exodus chapter 25 the children of iIsrael didn’t take it upon themselves to make anything. God told Moses what to do and what it was to look like.

Exo 25:9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

Exo 25:40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Sometimes people will try to use the brasen serpent to also justify images, etc. Moses didn’t make the brasen serpent on his own. God told him to.

Num 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

So, what happened to the brasen serpent?

2Ki 18:1 Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
2Ki 18:2 Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
2Ki 18:3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.
2Ki 18:4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
2Ki 18:5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
2Ki 18:6 For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

Again it says, “…which the LORD commanded Moses.”

God told them what to do. If a person wants to take it upon themselves to make images or whatever that’s there choice but I wouldn’t unless I spoke to God as Moses did and He told me to.

Exo 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.
