The main Norwegian union, LO, said Friday supported the idea of calling for a boycott of Israel if the Jewish state would not end its occupation of Palestinian territories.
LO believes that both Israelis and Palestinians have the right to live in peace and security. The Israeli government must bear responsibility for the fact that this is not the case, the union wrote in a statement released in the margin of its annual conference.
In its press release, LO requires the end of the illegal occupation, the respect of the 1967 borders, stopping of settlements, destruction of the separation wall, the establishment of a commission of inquiry of the UN in light of possible violations of international law.

Only Israel has been singled out for a boycott. The Norwegian Union has not called for a boycott of countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia. Thats strange.
Unlike in Israel, there is no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, and women and men do not have equal civil rights in Iran and Saudi Arabia. The Norwegian union should rather have called its members to support Israel. Because Israel and Norway both have a strong and free labour movement.
The state of Israel is respecting all the rights the Norwegian Union is fighting for. The Norwegian Labor Union is a brilliant example: What a mad, mad World we live in….

unlike saudi arabia for instance, “israel” claims to be a democracy. and btw, why does a “democracy” always need to compare its jurisdiction and everything else just with countries like iran or ksa, which as we know are anything but democracies????? why not compare it with finland or sweden, or norway, once you want to show the freedom of speech exists in “israel”. there is no freedom of anything in “israel” (except for the illegal settlers and other zionist lunatics), according to the cia “israel” is doomed. freedom of religion in “israel” is limited to the zionists. as far as i know a lot of bus lines have vehicles for men and vehicles for women,that means that the two sexes remain separated.its quite similar to the ksa system, if i am not mistaken. “israel” does not respect the un, the international law, the geneva convention, the human rights, nor any agreements made. so what is it that you find “democratic” in it?

In 1904, Norway was not a sovereign nation. We had no democracy, no right to rule our selves. But we had a constitution. It was implemented in 1814. What happened?
Norway was given from the King of Denmark to the King of Sweden as a war offering after the defeat of Napoleon.
Norway were occupied by Sweden. The Swedish people, who love to pose as righteous, and pull down the Jewish state of Israel was brutal occupiers. They even killed their own Christian brothers, read Norwegian freedom fighters.
In the free and democratic USA, no black man had the right to take the buss together with the «human rights loving» white people. This was in 1960. It happened in states like Alabama and Georgia.
In 1904, the Jewish people were scattered all over the World. In 1960, the state of Israel had already fought two wars for the basic survival.
Even though the Arab League had a written policy of destroying the Jewish state, the Jews showed grace to its Arab citizens. The Majority of them Muslims, two million of them. They were all given Israeli passports, and could vote Muslims into Knesset.
Israel was anti-Racist even in the middle of wars for its destruction, at a time when the Americans were racist despite no rocket had ever been fired into the US.
The state of Israel deserves our support.
