WASHINGTON: In a new revelation, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the CIA of the United States and his country’s ISI together created the Taliban.
«I think it was part of your past and our past, and the ISI and CIA created them together,” Zardari told the NBC news channel in an interview»
In the interview, which was given to the NBC on May 7, Zardari also accused the US of supporting the military rule of Pervez Musharraf who was alleged to be taking sides of the Taliban.
Asked about the influential role of the Pakistan army, Zardari said he is in control of everything in the country, including the military.

My comment:
The Pakistani President is telling the truth.
It was the US who trained and equipped the Taliban from 1979 onwards. The motive was to use the Taliban as a tool to get the Soviet union out of Afghanistan.
The US equipped the Taliban with its most effective weapons, the Stinger anti air-craft rockets.
US Military trainers was needed to educate the Taliban to use this kinds of High tech fire power.
The rockets was used by the Taliban to shoot down Russian Helicopter gun ships. The Taliban fought a proxy war for American interests in the mountains between Persia and South Asia.
The same evil that the Americans supported, supplied, equipped and trained has today turned against America it self.
