Islamic Jihad use Sinai to attack Eilat

Police suspect rockets landed in open areas; group takes responsibility for previous launches from Sinai into Israel.

The Israeli navy operating off the cost of Eilat is not enough to protect this city from attacks from the Sinai.

Security forces searched the Eilat area on Wednesday night after two powerful blasts rocked the Red Sea resort city.

Eilat residents flooded the police’s emergency number after hearing the explosions, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

Meanwhile, an Islamist militant group operating in the Sinai Peninsula warned the Egyptian army on Wednesday that an ongoing military crackdown on jihadists in the area will force it to fight back.

The group also said Sinai jihadists had fired rockets at Israel in the last few years. Egypt had repeatedly denied that rockets had ever been fired from Sinai into Israel.

My comment:

After the Fascists in the Muslim Brotherhood took over the President office in Cairo, Sinai has again become a security threat for the people of Israel.

Israel should not have any confident in the authority of Egypt willingness to block Islamic terrorists from attacking Israel. Rather Israel must be prepared for Cairo equipping and blessing those who kill Jews in the name of “allah”.

The last attack in Eilat is a brilliant example.

Israel should have learned from the past. Only when the IDF stand at the Suez channel, the Muslim forces can not use the Sinai desert to cripple and kill Jews.

Israel must consider if the 1979 peace agreement now have been set aside by Cairo. To protect Israel, it might be vice to again place an Israeli security and protection force in the Sinai.

You do not negotiate with Fascists, when your own existence is at risk.

US warns on travel to Eilat overlook attack on Aqaba

Do not travel to Eilat in Israel. This is a travel warning sent out by the US.

From the Israeli beach in Eilat you can see across to the Jordanian city of Aqaba.

Last Thursday, the US State Department issued a travel warning to Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The US Government citing additional precautions as a result of a recent rocket attack on Eilat and the Jordanian port city of Aqaba. The rocket attack killed a Jordanian citizen and wounded five others.

In Sunday’s response to the U.S. travel warning, the Israeli Tourism Ministry said that the recent “update to the U.S. travel advisory to Israel is incorrect, singling out Eilat but not Aqaba, despite the fact that the rockets’ only fatality was in the Jordanian city.”

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack but defense analysts believe Bedouin gangs operating in Sinai or the Global Jihad group are behind the attack.

“In the past, some rockets have travelled more than 40 km from Gaza and landed as far north as Yavne and Gadera and as far east as Be’er Sheva,” the travel warning said.

The US reported added that American officials must seek approval before traveling near the Strip “as a result of possible IDF military operations in Gaza and the ever-present risk of rocket and mortar attacks into Israel from Gaza.”

“Differentiating Israel from its neighbor that actually suffered loss of life is improper and lacks balance,” the Official Israeli statement said.

My comment:

Suppose Wien and Budapest was attacked by Islamic rockets on the same day.

Would it be correct to tell the travelers to skip only Budapest?

The fact that Eilat and Aqaba is twin cities, makes the US travel warning a clear bias against the state of Israel, with the clear purpose of crippling the Israeli Tourism industry.

Hamas denies that it fired missiles that struck Red Sea resorts

Eilat tourism leaders not intimidated by latest attack

I have seen these fishes. You should go to Eilat and experience the same you as I felt, supporting and blessing Israel. And by the way. I have also blessed Aqaba.

On Tuesday, the Hamas terror militia which rules the Gaza Strip denied any involvement with the deadly rocket attacks that struck the Gulf of Aqaba area Monday morning.

The rockets caused minor damage in Eilat, but killed a Jordanian cab driver and wounding four other people near the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba.

“The attacks perpetrated on innocent citizens of Jordan and Israel were carried out by terrorists that want to thwart the peace process,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement released Monday.

“All of the countries in the region who want peace need to fight against these forces in order to expel terror and bring peace closer.”

My comment:

What is at the end of every tunnel?

I guess an opening. There is a possibility of two way traffic.

What come in to Gaza from Egypt, will also be able to leave Gaza for the Sinai desert.

The smuggling of weapon grade materials ends up in primitive rocket factories under schools, mosques and hospitals in Gaza. Once in a while the IDF finds and blows up such factories.

But most of the time such Islamic terrorist cells are protected by the United Nations, who hide Hamas under the cover of the Vienna convention and other International laws.

Hamas do not want direct peace talks with Israel. The latest message from the Sinai desert is clear.

I have been in Eilat. The problem with primitive home made rockets, is that they  hit both “good and bad”.  Again the rocket flew over the small city of Eilat, and landed in the neighbors garden. It is a irony, that the Kingdom of Jordan are hit by the very own terrorists that many Jordanians support.
