Bible studies # 27: Israel will soon loose their best friends. Messianic believers

Just before the return of the Messiah to Jerusalem, He will come and take his persecuted followers away from Earth. When we are gone, Israel will be left behind to face the final antichrist and Judgment.

To love and care for the Jewish people is a duty for all true believers in Jesus the Messiah.
To love and care for the Jewish people is a duty for all true believers in Jesus the Messiah.

Its sounds like Science Fiction, but its an important part of the redemption of the followers of the Son of God, the Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. One day, soon, His followers will be called up in the air, to meet Him. Its called The Rapture.

There are several different books in the Bible that explains about this even. Like Daniel, Matthew, Luke and the book of Revelation.

God explains through Daniel that the time will come when the power of the Holy People will be completely broken. When false teachers and prophets promotes an end time revival. the true prophets warns of horrible times in the end. Millions of people shall either give up their Biblical faith, or walk away into deception with copy-cat Messiah`s.

Daniel 12:7

«The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”»

Every true Messianic Christian, Jew and gentile alike, knows that this Bible verse is finally manifesting it self within the Human Race. There is hardly anyone anymore who is willing to listen to the truth, and obey the Word of God.

The true followers of the Messiah who love the Jewish people and care for the state of Israel is facing stern persecution. But behold. We know we will be persecuted, and we rejoice is all the beatings and insults. Because only when we are persecuted, we do really miss Him and cry out:

«Messiah, Jesus from Nazareth. Come back soon. We desire your presence, and long for a life close to you for eternity».

The book of revelation explains to us, that it will be a badly beaten and persecuted Church that will be taken away, into the skies to meet the true Messiah:

Revelation 11:12
«Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on».

The book of the Jewish Gospel writer Luke explains that this amazing event will take all of us by surprise:

Luke 17:34
«I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left».

In the Gospel according to the Jewish writer Matthew, our Master Jesus tells us about terrible times just before His return.

Matthew 24:10
«At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other».

When people give up their faith, Jesus is not speaking of non-believers. He talks about people who once knew Him, but has given up hope and faith in Him.

Its a tragedy. It is its already here, happening in every nation, in every Church all over the World.

Rejoice. The return of the Messiah can take place on any given moment after you have read this. Be ready to welcome Him. Keep your lamp burning. Amen.

Bible studies # 39: When Jews walked across the Red Sea like during the tsunami

When the tsunami struck the Indian Ocean, people could walk on the dry sea bed. But when the waters came back, all of them drowned.

These tourists in Thailand were caught by surprise during the Tsunami. They could swim and survived.

A lady once told me that her Catholic priest had «explained» to her the true meaning of the Jews crossing the Red Sea during the exodus from Egypt.

«The sea did not part. But that day, there was an extreme difference between low tide and high tide».

Another Jewish lady told me something similar. That the Jewish people managed to cross the sea at a place where shallow waters allowed them to use stones and rocks to cling on to. That God had parted the sea, was for her unthinkable.

I rebuked them both. Because God of Israel has in our days done the same that He did during the exodus from Egypt 3.000 years ago. The event took place on 26th of December 2004, in The Indian Ocean.

Exodus 14:21-22.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

During the clean up after the tsunami on Sri Lanka, I met a Norwegian who had seen the Indian ocean departing from the beach, and leaving dry ground on the sea bed for about a kilometer.

Satelitte pictures from Sri Lanka, exposing the departed sea, and the dry sea bed during the tsunami.

Exodus 14:23-25

The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea. During the last watch of the night the LORD looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion. He made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said,

“Let’s get away from the Israelites! The LORD is fighting for them against Egypt.”

The Norwegian explained:

«There were three waves. When the first one subtracted, it left the sea bed off the cost of Hikkaduwa dry for more than a kilometer. I saw many Sri Lankans running out on the enlarged beach, to pick up fisher and crabs, the Norwegian explained.

He continued his story, by explaining in details how he fled the place, as fast as his feet could carry him. He knew the sea would return in a matter of minutes.

Exodus 14: 26-28

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the LORD swept them into the sea.

«I grew up on an island. I know that when the ocean disappears, it will surely come back. I also knew that the second wave would most likely be more powerful than the first».

When the second wave struck the local «beach walkers» in Sri Lanka, they all drowned.

Exodus 14: 29

The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.

Bible study # 55: John Mac Arthur denies the blood of Jesus

He claims he love Jesus. But says His blood is of no significance. John Mac Arthur claims the blood of Jesus only has symbolic value.

John Mac Arthur is a false teacher.

The first time I read a book of John Mac Arthur, it was about the Spiritual chaos that exists inside many modern day Charismatic Pentecostal Churches.

I agreed with him.

But the chaos inside such fellowships, does not make Pentecostalism null and void.

Neither does it mean that all who claims they have been washed in the blood of Jesus are liars.

When I read that Mac Arthur claims that the gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased with the Apostolic Age, I knew that this man had walked into deception.

Because if the Holy Spirit has changed His mind, and withdrawn from mankind, “Christianity is dead”.  People who believe this is the fact, becomes a religious movement, and this movement do have millions of followers. But they operate without the help of the Holy Spirit. Preachers like Mac Arthur do promote “Dead Christianity”.

John 1:36
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

John 19:34
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.

Where did senior preacher John Mac Arthur walk astray, into deception?

The source seems to be back in 1976, when this Baptist rejected the cleansing powers of the blood of the Lamb of God.

Lets read:

The April 1986 edition of Faith For The Family quotes him as saying in a 1976 article entitled, “Not His Bleeding But His Dying” “It was His death that was efficacious. . not His blood. . . Christ did not bleed to death. The shedding of blood had nothing to do with bleeding. . . it simply means death. . . Nothing in His human blood saves…It is not His blood that I love. . . it is Him. It is not His bleeding that saved me, but His dying.” It is incredible to me, that a Christian minister would make such statements.

Source:

My take on this is that believing that Jesus died on the cross will not save anyone. That He “died” is obvious. It is the washing in the blood of the lamb, that He shed on the cross that will cleanse me from my sins. And not to be ignored: You have to walk in the Power of His resurrection.

John Mac Arthur does not do that. He believes and teachers that the Power of the Resurrection is only limited, and does not include the believers authority to drive out demons, heal the sick, and to pray in different kinds of tongues.

John 14:16
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.

Forever still means forever. The same advocate and the same power that the Apostles had, is available today.  This is the central doctrine of Pentecostalism, and this doctrine is correct.

John Mac Arthur is wrong. He is a dangerous false teacher, and an enemy of the Power that Jesus has given the believers, who are his co-workers.

Hebrews 10:19
[ A Call to Persevere in Faith ] Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.

1 Peter 1:2
who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

The Word and the blood has to testify together. One without the other becomes “powerless religious stuff”.

Revelation 19:13
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Romans 5:9
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

Colossians 1:20
and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Hebrews 9:12
He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

The Bible plainly tells us, that it is not the “death” of Jesus who purify us from all sins. But the blood He shed when He gave up His life on the cross. This might look like an insignificant difference. But it is not. The death of the passover lamb has now power, without the application of its blood. Read the book of Exodus one more time.  The blood had to be used to stop the destruction Angel. The perfect lamb and its blood are not two separate issues, but the core of Christianity.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Jesus is by the way not “dead”. He is alive. He rose from the grave after three days, to be alive for ever more. His Powers are unlimited. Mac Arthur tells us these powers are limited, because Jesus is not able to work properly through his students any more.

1 John 5:6
This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

The Spirit of God can not disagree with the blood of Jesus. There is no other remedy for sins.

1 John 5:8
the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

Bible lesson # 6: Pope: Peter first Bishop of Rome. Bible: Married Peter wrote from Babylon

The Papal system stand and falls with their claim to be the successor of the apostle Peter. They claim that Peter was the first Bishop of Rome.

The problems with this Vatican claim, is that it can not be confirmed by the Bible. That Peter ever was in Rome can neither be confirmed, nor does it make sense.

In Rome an idol of Peter is worshiped, and Rome has placed a Papal crown on his head.
In Rome an idol of a man claimed to be Peter is worshiped, and Rome has placed a Papal crown on his head.

The Apostle Peter was first of all married, and by this set a biblical example to be followed by all deacons, Bishops and overseers after him. The Roman Bishops have to the radical opposite been forbidden to merry up to this day.

Matthew 8:14
When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.

Lets put human reasoning aside, and take a look at The Word of God.

That Paul was in Rome, is confirmed by the scriptures:

Romans 1:15
That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.

Paul, who de facto was in Rome, use the word Rome, when He writes a letter to the first believers in Rome.

Since Paul was in Rome, and could have been the first Bishop of Rome. But that view does not fit the papal doctrine of succession through Peter. If Peter was chosen among the apostles to be the Bishop of Rome, why does Paul not even mention Peter when he greets almost 20 people at the end of the letter to the Romans?

The book of Acts say that Paul was an apostle to the gentiles, and that includes the pagans in Rome. Peter was an apostle to the Jews. The book of Acts does not mentioned any plan by Peter to go to Rome. Nor does the letters of Paul, John, the Apostle Jude or the letters to the Hebrews.

Strange, is it not. If Peter was going to become such an VIP in Rome?

Lets take a look at what Peter writes:

1 Peter 5:13

She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark.

There was de facto a couple of cities in Assyria with the name Babylon. There was also one in Egypt. But the main Babylon is the city where the Jewish people were exiled. During Peters time, the city was still full of Jews that had nor returned to Jerusalem. One of the Apostles had to go there and preach about the Messiah. Because Jesus said: «To Jew first».

The Assyrian Church of the East are backed up the the Bible when they claim that Peter visited the Jews in their region. Peter planted Churches in Assyria, and had a good reason for greeting others from their «sister» in the city of Babylon.

Rome defends its teaching by claiming that Peter was afraid of persecution, and used the word «Babylon» as a code word for Rome. Thats again a Papal claim that does not make sense. Because Paul who De Facto was in Rome, used the word Rome for Rome. There was no need for a «code», just a plain Biblical truth.

The Roman Catholic Church needs to twist the Word of God or deny the Word of God, to defend their non-biblical papal doctrines of Peter as the first Bishop of Rome.
