Bible studies # 27: Israel will soon loose their best friends. Messianic believers

Just before the return of the Messiah to Jerusalem, He will come and take his persecuted followers away from Earth. When we are gone, Israel will be left behind to face the final antichrist and Judgment.

To love and care for the Jewish people is a duty for all true believers in Jesus the Messiah.
To love and care for the Jewish people is a duty for all true believers in Jesus the Messiah.

Its sounds like Science Fiction, but its an important part of the redemption of the followers of the Son of God, the Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. One day, soon, His followers will be called up in the air, to meet Him. Its called The Rapture.

There are several different books in the Bible that explains about this even. Like Daniel, Matthew, Luke and the book of Revelation.

God explains through Daniel that the time will come when the power of the Holy People will be completely broken. When false teachers and prophets promotes an end time revival. the true prophets warns of horrible times in the end. Millions of people shall either give up their Biblical faith, or walk away into deception with copy-cat Messiah`s.

Daniel 12:7

«The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”»

Every true Messianic Christian, Jew and gentile alike, knows that this Bible verse is finally manifesting it self within the Human Race. There is hardly anyone anymore who is willing to listen to the truth, and obey the Word of God.

The true followers of the Messiah who love the Jewish people and care for the state of Israel is facing stern persecution. But behold. We know we will be persecuted, and we rejoice is all the beatings and insults. Because only when we are persecuted, we do really miss Him and cry out:

«Messiah, Jesus from Nazareth. Come back soon. We desire your presence, and long for a life close to you for eternity».

The book of revelation explains to us, that it will be a badly beaten and persecuted Church that will be taken away, into the skies to meet the true Messiah:

Revelation 11:12
«Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on».

The book of the Jewish Gospel writer Luke explains that this amazing event will take all of us by surprise:

Luke 17:34
«I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left».

In the Gospel according to the Jewish writer Matthew, our Master Jesus tells us about terrible times just before His return.

Matthew 24:10
«At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other».

When people give up their faith, Jesus is not speaking of non-believers. He talks about people who once knew Him, but has given up hope and faith in Him.

Its a tragedy. It is its already here, happening in every nation, in every Church all over the World.

Rejoice. The return of the Messiah can take place on any given moment after you have read this. Be ready to welcome Him. Keep your lamp burning. Amen.

  1. Israel will never lose my friendship (yes, I am aware that Peter said something similiar to the Lord Jesus!)

    1. Dear Lars-Toralf

Shalom, and welcome to this site.

The rapture of the children of Jesus, will effect the globe. When we are gone, badly persecuted and bruised, only raw and senseless violence will erupt on Earth. No one should wish to be left behind, to the final moments of the Great Tribulation.

Within Christian Zionism, there is a debate over when the rapture will take place. I do not mind different views on this. Because when the rapture takes place, there will be very little I can do about it. If my Master Jesus calls med to met Him in the air today, I will not disobey.

What is the back side of the coin?

Obviously, if you have not made Jesus your Master, you will be left behind. Non-believing Jews and gentiles alike.

  2. Brother,I just want to say to you that I read ALL news concerning Israel and you Sir have, probably the best and most informative site out there.I,of course don’t know you but I do look forward to meeting you one day. Please keep up your work and I tell everyone I know to check this out.
I Pray the Lord Jesus Blesses you in a very special way.

    1. Dear Jerry

Shalom, and thanks for blessing me. This kind of feedback will keep me publishing, to the last trumpet sounds, and we shall see our Master Y’shua returning in the clouds of Heaven like lightning strikes the Earth.

    2. I agree with Jerry. Ivar, your site is incredible, one of my favorites!

Thanks for the great article. I am wondering if you think there will be an antichrist as well as a false prophet?

I have always thought the false prophet would be the current pope or the next pope, or someone behind the scenes in the Jesuit order. However, I thought the AC would be someone else.

      Your thoughts would be appreciated!

      God Bless!

      1. Dear Dee, Steve and Dave 1543.

Many Christians are making simple issues look complicated, hidden mysteries. Their debates are fruitless, and full of confusions.

        1. There are 1,4 billion people who have been deceived by one single prophet. Why is it so difficult to read the message on the wall, and just tell his followers that he is THE False prophet?

        2. There are 1,1 billion people on Earth, who worship a man as “god”. A beast, who has authority over Kings and princes. Who rules an Earthly global Kingdom, with followers inside the smallest of villages. Why is it so difficult to tell his followers, that they are worshiping THE beast?

Carnal Christians will not tell others the truth. 2,5 billion people is a pretty large mission field, of deceived Hell bound souls.

        Matthew 7:13
[ The Narrow and Wide Gates ] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

  3. I agree with much of what you say on your website and regard you as a Christian brother, but I must disagree on the doctrine of the rapture, secret or otherwise. Scripture is clear that Christians are not raptured until Christ returns; there is no pre-tribulation rapture, nor are there “tribulation saints.” The rapture occurs when Christ returns at the close of this age, which is the onset of His millenial reign on earth. I would love to email you a copy of my paper “Left Behind” which deals with this topic in depth, including the origins of the false “secret rapture” doctrine.

    1. The idea of a seven-year tribulation is rather new to me, and so I decided to look into it, in order to learn more. I was astonished to find that it was based off a complete misunderstanding of Daniel 9:20-27, an excerpt that prophesizes not of antichrist, but of Jesus Christ. What I found even more intriguing is that this “7 years of tribulation”, is now widely accepted, and is even being taught as official church doctrine in many cases. Films and novels have even adapted the idea. Satan is very intent on deceiving even the elect, and devising false prophecies is just one of the many ways he intends to do so.

      1. Hello Steve,

I do not understand what you are trying to say.

What is it that you say is based off a complete misunderstanding? What is it you are disputing?

Daniel 9 24-27 reads: Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and your Holy City to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most Holy. Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until The Anointed One the Ruler comes there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench but in times of trouble. After the sixty two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue till the end and desolations have been decreed. He will confirm a covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the Temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him (

Before we try to understand the 70th week let’s review a rule of grammar that will help make our interpretation correct. The rule is this: Pronouns refer us back to the closest previous noun. “He”, being a personal pronoun, refers to the closest previous personal noun, in this case the “ruler who will come.” So a ruler who will come from the territory of the old Roman Empire will confirm a 7 year covenant with Israel that permits them to build a Temple and re-instate their Old Covenant worship system. 3 1/2 years later he will violate the covenant by setting up an abomination that causes the Temple to become desolate, putting an end to their worship. This abomination brings the wrath of God down upon him and he will be destroyed.

Grace thru faith has a good study on this. You can read it here

        God Bless

      2. Dear Gloria.

        You wrote:

        My reply:

        1. The Temple is already there. The Dome of the Rock at the Temple Mount is not a Mosque. It can be turned into a “Universal Temple” as we speak.

        2. The Old Testament worship system is already present on Earth. The priests comes with blood, that is not the blood of the lamb of God. You find the complete worship system with the High Priest present inside the Vatican.

Put 1 and 2 together, and you have the reign of the final antichrist.

      3. Thank you for the reply, Gloria

The seventy week period that the scripture mentions is only a small block of time in a total given amount in the prophecy.

“And he said to me, To two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” (Daniel 8:14)

Using day for a year, the 2300 day period is a 2300 year period.

“Seventy weeks are determined on your people and on your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” (Daniel 9:24)
Seventy weeks, or 490 days (years) are set aside from the 2300 for Daniel’s people: the Jews.

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and three score and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” (Daniel 9:25)

The 490 year period is now divided into a seven week period (49 years), in which a commandment would be given to rebuild Jerusalem. In 457 B.C., Artaxerxes I would decree the reestablishment of the city of Jerusalem. Following this period, we then have 62 weeks (434 years). If we add the two, we have 483 years out of the 490. 483 years after this 2300 begins (in 457 B.C.), it brings us to around 27 A.D., the year that Jesus was baptized in which He was anointed. If you recall Daniel 9:24, it stated that the 70 weeks (490 years) would include the anointing of the most Holy, Jesus Christ.
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured on the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)

Finally, we have a one week period (7 years), and if you add the number of years we have been given (49, 434, and 7), they add up to 490 years. Thus, the time periods we are given are undoubtedly cut out from the first 490 years.

In the midst of the 7 years (30 A.D.), the sacrifices did cease, for it is the year in which Jesus the Messiah was crucified. The blood of Jesus voided the sacrifices, making them of no value to God, and making the earthly sanctuary desolate. After Jesus’s death, His ministry continued going out only to the Jews for another three and a half years, until the end of the 7 years. The 490 years brings us to 34 A.D., when Stephen was stoned to death, and Paul and Peter began bringing the gospel to the Gentiles.

The 2300 year period, beginning in 457 B.C., ends at around 1844 A.D., in which the sanctuary in Heaven would be cleansed.
Revelation also speaks of a Heavenly temple:

“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightning, and voices, and thunder, and an earthquake, and great hail.”( Revelation 11:19)

In the temple in Heaven, the Ark of the Covenant is revealed when the temple is open. On the Day of Atonement, the earthly sanctuary was opened, with the Ark having been kept in the Most Holy Place. And so when the Heavenly sanctuary is opened, it shall be cleansed, revealing the Law of God. Satan wants to divert our minds to the sanctuary on Earth. By developing the idea of a rebuilt temple and the restart of sacrifices, he draws our attention to this earthly sanctuary. Inside however, there is no Ark, no law, because the Ark is to be found in the Most Holy Place in the temple in Heaven. It is also important to remember what happened on the Day of Atonement. The priest would sprinkle blood on the Ark seven times. The blood represents the Blood of Jesus, and the sprinkling over the Ark of the Covenant represents the cleansing of sin. God wants us to understand His Law, and the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ in these end times.

    1. Dear Sue.

It will most likely be the next Pope. Or at least someone who has been approved by the Pope. The Pope has an arsenal of Kings and princes who submit to his authority.

    1. While I do not consider myself a part of any demonination, I do agree with many of Seventh Day Adventists’ beliefs and teachings.

      1. Thanks for the reply Steve,

I had a question you may be able to answer, or at least shed some light on, since you are familiar with the SDA. From what I understand the SDA believe that the mark of the beast, Rev 13:16-17, has to do with keeping or not keeping the 4th commandment. Sabbath keepers have the seal of God and Sunday worship is the mark of the beast. What I don’t understand about this is how the buying and selling comes into play, Rev 13:17. Would the beast or ? keep track of what day a person kept holy and if you kept the Sabbath how would it affect your ability to buy or sell anything? What about the people that don’t keep any day holy or set one day apart over another?

        Thanks in advance.

      2. Hello, Dave

“Sunday is our mark or authority…the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923.
The Catholic Church is not shy when it comes to the divine power they claim to possess, and the changing of Sabbath to Sunday is one of the ways they attempt to prove it. This doesn’t necessarily mean that going to church on a Sunday is a sin, that isn’t the issue, but accepting that the Catholic Church has the apostolic power to change God’s set laws, is accepting the Mark of the Beast.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws” (Daniel 7:25)

The Sabbath is not the only thing that the Church has changed. They have removed the second Commandment, the one pertaining to the worship of idols, and instead have broken the Tenth into two separate Commandments, to maintain the number ten. They have changed the concept of the Lord’s Supper, teaching that it is a literal consummation of Jesus, and baptism, allowing sprinkling as an acceptable substitute as well as the baptism of infants. They have developed fictitious doctrines, such as purgatory, allowing other faiths into the salvation of Jesus, and the idea of the immortal soul. They force confession of sins to be taken to a priest, when they are meant to be taken to Jesus, and they teach that Mary was sinless, remained a virgin, and has the power to cleanse sin and offer the gift of salvation. These are only a few examples of how the Catholic Church tries to impose its mark.

“Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. “ (Revelation 13:11-17)

Revelation introduces the concept of the Mark, and how it will be enforced, by revealing a second beast (a nation). It’s described as having the appearance of a lamb, but the voice of a dragon. In other words, this nation would appear Christian, but speak like Satan. There is only one nation that I can recall, that fits this profile perfectly: The United States of America. Governments today, especially the US, already have the ability control buying and selling. The recent health care bill passed, allows one to be fined simply for refusing healthcare. Others, such as Norway, are developing digital forms of currency, of which Ivar has posted about regularly. Imagine if the US, or any other country, did the same if one refused to attend a Sunday service, be baptized under Catholicism, or even refusing the eucharist?

The moral structure of the world is falling apart because of sin. People such as Tony Blair or the pope believe that the only way to keep people from sinning is essentially forcing God upon the world. The Catholic Church cannot achieve this unless they rewrite and water-down their doctrine, in an attempt to include all in the “Mother Church”. We who refuse the Mark, are essentially refusing world peace in the eyes of the pope, and will be painted as heretics, punished, and even persecuted for doing so.

So to answer your question, the Mark isn’t attending church on Sunday, but accepting the authority of the Beast from the Sea, the papal power.

  4. So if the rapture is when Christ returns, we will all go up a few hundred feet in the air to meet the Lord and come straight back downm with him again, I’m not too sure about the logic of that, John 14 says different, that we will go to his place.

    1. Dear Tom.

      Your comment:

So if the rapture is when Christ returns, we will all go up a few hundred feet in the air to meet the Lord and come straight back downm with him again, I’m not too sure about the logic of that, John 14 says different, that we will go to his place.

      My reply:

It will make sense if you have been imprisoned for your faith. If will make sense if your have been arrested, and is about to be tortured or martyred for your faith in Jesus. A rapture of a not persecuted Church, does not make sense at all. Let all the lukewarm people read this, and be ashamed by all their compromises.

If you are about to fly up in the air to meet Jesus, and than taken to Jerusalem. Do you have a problem with that?

Up from all kinds of detention centers and slums, you will see the Church make a quick exodus. From the dining table of the rich and famous, hardly anyone will take notice at all. Few if non of them will miss the students of Jesus. They never went to visit them in the prison’s in the first place.

      1. I’m not sure if my English is that poor or people are deliberatelty misunderstanding my point. Mate I believe in a pre trib rapture ( I may be wrong ) but thats what I believe, I believe the church will be taken upstairs to heaven to spend a bit of time with the groom, somewhat similar if not exactly like the jewish wedding scenario, I find it hard to understand a rapture occuring at the second coming when jesus returns to earth, that the church would rise up a few hundred feet just to come down again, I meant no offence in that. Yes I’m sure unfortunate individuals in dire circumstances would be chuffed about it but that is unrelated to my query. I have no probs oing up to the master and then off to Jerusalem, as much as I enjoy flying El Al, I’m sure the Lord provides better than first class travel to His place but as stated I honestly don’t understand the straight up straight down bit, nor the lukewarm comment. sorry.

      2. Dear Tom.

Why should Jesus take the Church up to Heaven, if there is more work to be done on Earth?

Why should we return out of Heaven, and be moved back to Jerusalem, and later return back to heaven for a second time?

The pre-trib teachers promotes 3 comings of Jesus.

One as the Lamb, One as the rapture Master, and one as the Lion of Judah back to Jerusalem. I can not find any scripture evidence for the “3 comings doctrine”. In my opinion it is wishful thinking.

  5. Pertaining to the rapture, Second Thessalonians 2 says, that “with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him;” which I believe is referring to the rapture, “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.” vs. 3, which seems to indicate that the antichrist desecrates the temple prior to the rapture.

Also, since we are not destined for wrath, the rapture must occur before the Day of the Lord or the Day of Wrath. In case you haven’t guessed, I am a pre-wrather, which has the rapture occurring sometime after the 3 1/2 year time when the antichrist desecrates the temple, and after the signs in the heavens of Matthew 24:29 which corresponds to the sixth seal (Matthew 24:31 seems to clearly be the rapture and matches Revelation 6:12-17)), but before the seventh seal where the wrath begins.

    So this vers

    1. Dear Dov.

      You wrote:

      I am a pre-wrather

      My reply:

I like that term. This is the first time I have seen anyone use it.

    1. Dear Tom.

My knowledge is rubbish. The Bible is the truth. The Bible speaks about 2nd coming. No were I can find any verse that explains the 3rd. Please guide me.

  6. mate, I wasnt saying there was, why are you so hostile? I was trying to explain my understanding but I happilly yielded to your greater knowledge and understanding, my knowledge in this area is not deep, bye

    1. Dear Tom.

I am sorry that I sounded hostile. I have no reason to be. My knowledge is this area is not deeper than yours. The Bible has to be our final authority. Any doctrines that is backed by scriptures, are valid.

      Hebrews 9:28
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

  7. I spent some time, and still do, listening to both sides of the pretrib, posttrib, mid trib question. One point made by pretrib is the one Tom stated.

“So if the rapture is when Christ returns, we will all go up a few hundred feet in the air to meet the Lord and come straight back downm with him again, I’m not too sure about the logic of that….”

This reply is not about Tom, but the point made. Suppose I was going to a house where I had some friends, and there were others there I didn’t know. So, I call my friends on the phone, while on the way and tell them, “Meet me outside”. On arriving we meet outside, greet each other, talk awhile, then go inside. I wouldn’t see anything strange or illogical about that.

    1. “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:30-31)

“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)

“Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7)

Scripture is very clear that we shall be caught up (“raptured”) when Jesus descends from Heaven, and so this is very certain. Likewise, Jesus also tells us when the “rapture” will take place:

“And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:39-40)

“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4-6)

As Christ descends from Heaven, we will be caught up into the clouds, and we shall descend back to Earth (now with Jesus). Because all of the lost are now dead at this point, Satan has been “chained”, unable to deceive any until the end of the 1000 years.

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:7-10)

When the 1000 years are over, the lost a resurrected (the second resurrection), and Satan goes to deceive them all, gathering them for one final battle against God and His people. They surround the holy city, where Christ and the “raptured” have camped on Earth, and suddenly God appears, and with him the book of life, and with it He judges the lost. He unleashes fire from Heaven devouring all of them, and burning them up.

“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, said the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, said the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 4: 1-3)
This casting into the lake of fire is referred to as the second death, and it is the eternal punishment. The lost will be gone forever, without a single trace left.

“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” (2 Peter 3:7)

The current Heaven and Earth are only temporary, and will house the fire of God’s Judgment, because praise the Lord there shall be a new Heaven and Earth:

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”(Revelation 21:1-4)

  8. Hi Steve,

One thing I’ve noticed about the SDA is that they know the Catholic church for what it is and have a good understanding of its history. If the US is the second beast, is it also known as the false prophet?

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

    1. The False Prophet is an interesting case, but I believe if the second beast were the same, it would have been referred to as such. Analyzing the two beasts, we find that the Beast from the Sea is a religious superpower, while the Beast from the earth is a political superpower, so it does not seem to be the case. Notice other passages in Revelations, however:

“Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14)

We obviously know that Death and Hades are not physical beings, but rather personifications, just as the two beasts and Mystery Babylon. Hades is a Greek term, meaning “the grave”, and so the passage is simply saying it would be the end to death and burial.

“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.” (Revelation 20:10)

So because of this, it seems to be that the false prophet is also a symbol. There is no single false prophet, because many false prophets already exist, just as they are many antichrists. Fortunately, scripture tells us exactly who these false prophets are:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.” (1 John 4:1-6)

  9. Concerning the “image of the beast”, what do they say about the image.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

    What is this image?

    1. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27)
God created us in his likeness, both in spirit and form, and to make an image is essentially to create a copy. So, the United States would be creating a copy of the papal system. The Vatican City State is different in the way it is run, because its leader is both the religious and the political leader. It is a territory with a combined church and state. Currently, the church and state of the US are separated by constitution, but if it were to create a copy of the way that the Vatican is run, it would no longer be so. Just as God breathed life into his image, the second beast has the power to breathe life into the image of the first beast, giving it the power to speak and cause. How does a nation speak? By passing laws. The country will be free to exert its religious authority, and anyone who refuses to adhere to its laws will be oppressed.

  10. Hi Steve,

Among the things listed as having been changed by the RCC you listed, “and the idea of the immortal soul.”

What has been changed, the belief that the soul is immortal, or that it isn’t immortal, By immortal meaning,

    IMMOR’TAL, a. [(L. immortalis.)
    1. Having no principle of alteration or corruption; exempt from death; having life or being that shall never end; as an immortal soul.

To the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever. 1 Tim 1.

    2. Never ending; everlasting; continual.

    1. The Catholic Church teaches that all souls, both faithful and lost are immortal, but this is contrary to what God’s Word teaches.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

      1. Dear Steve.

The Bible teaches that all souls are immortal. They will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal life is today. When I leave my flesh behind on Earth, I will enter the room in Heaven that Jesus has prepared for me.

If I do not depart before the rapture, I will meet Master Jesus in the air. And by the twinkling of the eye, He will change me, and I shall appear in my heavenly body.

The lost souls, that rejected Him, will face everlasting pain and agony. An almost unthinkable punishment. What fools who rejects the truth.

      2. Hello Ivar,

John 3:16 is explicitly stating that only by faith in Christ can we have eternal life, and those who do not accept Him will perish. I believe in the infallibility of God’s Word, and I believe that passage with all my heart.

        (Malachi 4:1-3):

“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, said the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, said the LORD of hosts.”

        (Ezekiel 28:18-19)

“You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the middle of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all them that behold you. All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.”

God’s statement is very clear in Malachi, what will become of the unfaithful, and in Ezekiel, explains what will happen to Lucifer, the devil. Everyone, including Satan, will be devoured in flame and shall be no more.

The first lie ever told was from Satan, to Eve:

“The woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’
‘You will not surely die,’ the serpent said to the woman.”

  11. Hi steve,

Getting back to the original question,

“So to answer your question, the Mark isn’t attending church on Sunday, but accepting the authority of the Beast from the Sea, the papal power.”

I appreciate your taking the time to answer my questions. This Adventist stuff is intersting, in a way, but I wouldn’t tell anyone that’s the way it will be. They may be in the ballpark but I think they are just swinging the bat. Personally, I’m going to watch and pray and see what unfolds.

  12. Mr. Ivarfjeld Sir:
Wonderful article and very informative. I had no idea that the dome of the rock was not a mosque, thought it was. what an explaination. Loved reading all of the responses. It seems time is much futher along than I thought..
(my brother, If all goes well will recover
    Thanks To God)

  13. Question if I may ?? If the Scripture says (and it does) that there will be a 7 year peace treaty and it will be broken in the middle (3 1/2 years later)…to me that would mean…the peace treaty will bring peace for 3 1/2 years then “immediately” the last 3 1/2 years will be the tribulation period that the scriptures speak of..I still don’t understand why Church’s and yes others speak that it will be a ‘full 7 year’ of the horrific times the Word tells us. If I am mistaken in this please, anyone please let me know. I still can’t discount
what Jesus said in Matthew 24. Also in Revelation we are told that there will be Saint (Christians) during the time of the 3 1/2 years, who will suffer under the hands of the laws laid down by the Antichrist.
When I was little, it was preached as Matthew 24 says…then as the years grew on and the flood of many TV Evangelists appeared on the scene it was preached The Holy Spirit will be taken out of the World and we will (those who are in-Christ will be taken out before the 7 year period of Tribulation begins. As that group slowly changed it is now preached the reason there will be Christians in Revelation 13# is they are the ones who got saved during the Tribulation period who were left here to be tried by fire. Yet I could go on to more ideas preached about this concept also but won’t. Bottom line, I have not found any reason to discount Matthew 24 or Revelation 13 (smile) nor any other book of the Bible. Yet I do see many quoted to put an idea across to make sure that no one will be tried or suffer any tribulation that is a Christian. To me that is a tad (more than a tad) of arrogance. Or a hopeful deception, maybe not on purpose but rather not too sure who to believe. So as I started out in this, again I do ask, Please if anyone has any information let me know. It is clear that the 10 Virgins are a prime example of a thriving business of “Oil Selling” right up to the time Jesus Calls us out of here. And it is clear that we are also told not to give or share our Oil with the ones who have less because they used all theirs up! Which is very evident that so many of the stories in the Old Testament warn of this very thing in the latter days. Harsh reality but a clear warning from The Word of God to listen for that Mid-night hour (smile).

    1. We need to trust in Jesus our messiah and stayin the word This is the new testament age, all old testament prophesies are to remain in the old testament remember what Jesus said just befor He gave up His spirit?, He said “it is finished” meaning He is the fulfilment of all old testament prophesies, Do not try combining old and new testiment prophesies to try to figure out what will happen in the end times. Jesus refured to the time He was living on the earth as these end times, He called it the end times 2000 years ago, there is no referance to a millenial kingdom anywhere in the scriptures, not even a hint the only way people are coming up with this is by taking out of context and combining old and new testiment prophesis, problem is they have to hop scip and jump all over the place to come up with their doctrines including accessing the writings of rabbis and catholic theologins, and the books written by men who are going by they’r own opinions based on how they reinterpret scripture, the Bible is our rule of faith not the doctrines of men, some of whom are not even believers and out and out blaphemers, Go on line and find out where the doctrin of the millenial kingdom came from and why it was invented google and ask. you may not like the answer Jesus said to beware of decieving spirits that have gone out into the world, they are even decieving the elect.

  14. Ahhhh (smile) …tsk tsk..dear..Just staying with what Jesus said ‘would be’…in the New Testament…”all need to take heed”…Don’t go there Mrchristian…recheck the Fig Tree and most assuredly recheck what Jesus said about it..(smile) …in it being Matthew 24…Jesus referred to The Fig Tree…of which is not just a great tasting Fruit Tree (smile) ..Also if it were not for the elect sake…God will shorten the days…so the Elect would be be deceived…Be careful dear …. Israel plays a Major part in Matthew 24! Missing my ‘statement of the ‘3 1//2 years of peace then immediately after 31/2 years of tribulation…equals the 7 that many call it a full tribulation of 7 years…of which I got from the Old and the New Testament ..we can’t discount any of God’s Word…it all bears witness to itself… which is Truth…removing one iota to make a point is not on this side of wise..the statement of Jesus fulfilling all prophecy at the Cross is also in error..”It is finished” …ohh that is such a glorious statement..and finalized the Promise in Genesis to “the Seed of Woman”..which is overlooked by many being reminded in John (smile) …If it were only prophecy to be fulfilled, then we humanity who were born in sin of Satan, and would continue to use a Slate to erase our sins (the blood of bulls and goats)…but then after each year we’d just fill it up again…Oh dear one…the Blood of Jesus was spent far more for us than to ‘agree with the Prophets of Old’..or they needed for Christ to come also and looked forwarded to His coming…(not discounting what they prophesied by no means for they spake what the Lord told them to say.of events to come about Jesus also and the gentiles…where Satan and his followers would go etc..Hell etc..even .
