Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said he would not allow Israel to be “submerged” by refugees after calls for the Jewish state to take in those fleeing Syria’s war.
Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu also announced the start of construction of a fence along Israel’s border with Jordan, according to his office.
“We will not allow Israel to be submerged by a wave of illegal migrants and terrorist activists,” Netanyahu said.
“Israel is not indifferent to the human tragedy of Syrian and African refugees… but Israel is a small country — very small — without demographic or geographic depth. That is why we must control our borders.”
Opposition leader Isaac Herzog on Saturday said Israel should take in Syrian refugees, recalling the plight ofJews who sought refuge from past conflicts.
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas also called for Israel to allow Palestinians from refugee camps in Syria to travel to the Palestinian territories, whose external borders are controlled by the Jewish state.

My comment:
There are 81 million people in Germany. Even if Angela Merkel permits one million Syrians to settle, it would hardly change the demographics of the nation.
If Israel suddenly opens the borders towards Syria, the Jewish state would commit suicide.
What should worry Germans: If 1.000 of these immigrants are secret members of ISIl, Germany have just given Islamic Jihad a foothold in the heart of Europe. The cancer will spread rapidly.
Israel is aware of this danger. Why is Europe blindfolded?
It is bizarre that people buy the hallow and naive rhetoric of their national media and their politicians.
How can they be so blind, that they do not see what is happening?
There is no logic and no reason, why highly educated people acts with outright stupidity in the response to the mass-immigration. This is spiritual warfare. And Europe is about to fall into chaos.
We can soon expect the first You Tube promotion of beheadings inside Germany. And there will be Islamic terror attacks. Since the politicians are betraying the continent, we can also expect pocket of armed resistance. Native Europeans will start to protect their cities and villages, in a bid to escape the oncoming carnage. The perfect storm is approaching.

I Fully understand the ramifications of letting them come in for refuge. But I also know the teachings of Christ about loving your neighbor,

ISIL seems to have outsmarted the security forces in the EU. Its an old tactic to push innocent people into the sea, and let the enemy use all their resources to resque them. It is barbaric, but it work wonders for the Islamic terrorists

it is interesting that none of the pastors in america who are big supporters of israel have pressured israel to take in christians fleeing the war. i guess they decided not to waste their breath.
