How many moments of hostility and darkness have we experienced; how much blood has been shed; how many lives have been shattered; how many hopes have been buried. But our efforts have been in vain.”
Calling on God, he said:
“Now, Lord, come to our aid! Grant us peace, teach us peace; guide our steps in the way of peace. Open our eyes and our hearts, and give us the courage to say: ‘Never again war!;’ ‘With war everything is lost’. Instil in our hearts the courage to take concrete steps to achieve peace. Lord, God of Abraham, God of the Prophets, God of Love, You created us and You call us to live as brothers and sisters.
My comment:
The Pope asked for the intercession of the “Virgin Mary”. That will not work. She can never be a mediator between men and God. This job is exclusively granted to Jesus the Messiah.
The Pope also called on the virgin as “our Mother”. Not possible. There is no motherhood in Heaven. God of the Bible in Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
The Pope conveniently skipped calling Jesus the Messiah eternal God. That would have offended the present Muslims. The Pope called on the “God of Abraham”. Conveniently he skipped both Isaac and Jacob.
For all men who do not bother if a prayer is presented in Spirit and in truth, this kind of inter-religious prayer is acceptable to most men. An in particular to all religious people. They will be able to acknowledge this kinds of prayers, for the sake of “peace”.
This was a dry run of the new universal brotherhood of mankind. A large and acceptable compromise has been found. The One Wold Religion can emerge, and be hailed by the multitudes.
Let us all expose the errors of the Pope, by underlining the truth.
1. Jesus the Messiah is eternal God.
2. Jesus the Messiah is the only mediator between man and God.
3. God is God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
4. The mother of Jesus and the Roman Catholic “ever Virgin Mary” are not the same. The latter is a fiction.
5. There is no godmother included in the Biblical deity. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

For the Pope there is no excuse. He claims to be a Christian. He often hold a Bible in his hand, and I presume he has read it.
Jesus Christ is our only mediator as stated by Saint Paul. You like to point out this verse as you mistakenly perceive that we mediate through His mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Lets lookat this verse on context: 1Timothy 2:1-5

Mediator’, as defined by the dictionary, the first meaning, is: ‘One who works to resolve or settle differences by working with all the conflicting parties’.
Intercessor’, as defined by the dictionary, the first meaning, is: ‘One who entreaties in favor of another, especially one who prays or petitions to GOD in behalf of another’.

Blessed Mary already had interceded with her Son in John 2:3-5, so a precedent for her intercession was already set.

Let me put this into context. The Bible says, we shall NOT consult the dead. The Pope says the opposite” Yes, we will consult the departed souls.
The issue is the Popes ability to set the Word of God a side, and put him self in the place of “god”. The Pope claim to be infallible in regards to
1. Who have made it to heaven.
2. issue an authorization to contact those He has declared to be home in Heaven.

Rev 5:8, “…which are the prayers of the saints.” Why do saints have to pray? They are already in heaven. Their prayers therefore must be for someone else who is not in heaven.
Person C. In ‘A’, we see ‘Mediator’, and in ‘B’, we see ‘Intercessor’. There is a difference. Jesus Christ mediates between GOD and man.
The saints and our fellow man say intercessory prayers for others.
What is the difference between Heb 13:18, “Pray for us”, and Rev 5:8, “…which are the prayers of the saints”, and of asking Mary to pray for us?
We can have only one mediator, but we can have many intercessors.

The Bible talks about “saints” as persons who are alive on the face of the Earth. There are many of them, and they boldly preach the gospel today. If you ever pray in my name, I will be horrified.
Do not do it when I am still present on Earth, and please do not do so after I have departed. Pray to Jesus the Messiah. Pray in His name, ONLY!.

Armorrcc, what is the basis of RCC’s beliefs and teaching that Mary is in heaven? what is the basis of her “assumption”? just because of several Marian “apparitions”? We need to love Catholics enough to confront their errors, and stand for the truth. The problem today, is that many compromise for the sake of “peace”.
When the Bible say we can come directly to Jesus. You need to compromise on this truth, by accepting to go through a middleman.
The Roman Catholic priests curse the people of their parish. They trick, lure and even force people do do what is wrong. Only by a move by the Holy Spirit they can get deliverance. It requires power to stand for the truth. A Power that only comes through the spirit of God.

The Church is a family, all who has been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
That means that the Church militant on earth, the Church suffering (purgatory) and the Church truimphant (heaven) are all united in one family in the communion of saints. God did not cut the saints in Heaven from His Head.
They are still part of the Body of Christ and is not dead but alive.

But heres an unpalatable (to you) FACT-
Your mary-time religion is a dangerous occultic sham that not only robs sinners of true righteousness (bad enough in itself) but additionally presumes to replace the Bible-gospel with a bizarre man made framework of religious rules that promote legalism and self righteous piousness. Stupid comment. You are forgetting (or never knew to start with) that Jesus has defeated sin death and hell, its finished, completed, and He is sat on the throne now. He is interceding for us. Very true. Except you havent realised yet that the righteousness isnt earned by being a good loyal papist. It is offered as a free gift and is received by faith alone. That is true righteousness. catholic pseudo-righteousness is actually pious religious legalism. Elijah was completely broken and humbled. We know this because he came to such a low point that he said “Take my life Lord, I am no better than my ancestors….” IE He realised he was just as much an adamic sinner as anyone else was, even though he IMAGINED himself to be God’s one and only man of power for the hour.

ripping half sentence out of context. The “All” here is a reference to the Jews and various Gentile peoples.

If you read Psalm 30:2-5 you will see David describes the Lord preventing him from going down the pit.
You will find the same in Psalm 22:21. There are two ways that God could answer this cry: by taking him out of the lion’s mouth, or by preventing him from being ensnared at all.
As Mary is full of grace God prevented Mary from sin. She is the Ark of the New Covenant fullfilled, just like the Ark of the Old Covenant – which was pure and without blemish

The mother of Jesus was surely blessed. But to claim she was “without sin” is to defame this Jewish woman. She was a sinner like all created beings. When she had given birth to her son, she offered a sin offering in the temple.
