Gantz tells Knesset’s Defense Committee recent escalation in south calls for operation in Strip.
“The recent escalation and loss of life – as well as the disruption of the southern residents’ daily routine – will eventually make it necessary for the army to launch a major offensive in Gaza,” IDF Chief Benny Gantz told the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tuesday.
Gantz said that an attack on a terror cell which was recently targeted by Israeli aircraft in Rafah “managed to delay the development of Islamic Jihad’s rocket-firing system.”

My comment:
Operation Cast lead was a limited military operation. The Israeli Government did not give the IDF permission to cripple the Hamas.
If the Hamas is replaced by a second regime of Al-Fatha (PLO) in Gaza, Israel will have no excuse for not accepting a two-state solution.
The top IDF general Benny Gantz walks along a fine balancing line. There is something that are military possible, but will be politically very unwise. The Israel army can whenever it wants bring the Hamas leadership to “silence”. The Israeli doctrine of acceptance of “Limited terrorism”, might not work in the long run. Because both the Hamas and the PLO is getting stronger by the day.
This is the important message in the letter to the Hebrews (the 12 tribes of Israel).

Watching the murderous bombardment of Gaza from the comfort of my home in CanaDa on TV daily I could only wonder how the spectacle reflected the Mercy of Almighty God? Any you say the military was constrained from inflicting total annihilation and genocide on the people imprisoned in the Ghetto of Gaza? There was no place for the innocent civilians to escape the terror since all exits were sealed shut.
I suspect Hamas would not be too happy if their human shields escaped, hence they fire rockets from schoolyards, hospitals etc hoping Israel will retaliate and unfortunately kill innocents thus creating hoodwinking weterners like Mr Cormier whom is unable to see that if Israel wanted to they could have flattened Gaza ten times over and more but they actually value life sending millions of leaflets in announcing their attacks and targets which actually puts their own mens life at risk. Hamas does not allow innocents to escape but Israel allows them treatment in her own hospitals.

Hi Ray. I just want to say…things are not as they seem to appear in the parts of the Gaza strip. It is spiritually discerned..coupled with the scriptures and prayer. It is horrible to see suffering and violence..but there is dishonesty in many reports coming from the general media..that is very biased against Israel. Am I saying for one minute that Israel is 100 % innocent in every problem that happens..probably not. But I can say..that God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob have put Israel in the land HE promised them …since 1948. The land does belong to them..that is the bottom line. Israel is not to give it up…it is their inheritance. Will there be wars..horrific tragedies, losses, tears, unfairness, suffering…YES on both sides in this issue. ..but again..the Jewish people according to the scriptures are not to divide Jerusalem. That is an abomination Ray. I wish I could share from my heart..through God’s spirit what is going on in Israel and the whole world..but it has to be seen through God’s eyes..pray for clear vision Ray. I pray you will do that and think on it. Jesus is coming soon and will wipe every tear from the eyes…shalom Ray..and thank you for a bit of Cormier history. I am from Nova Scotia originally and have many relatives in New Brunswick too.
I just want to say..as it just came to me. Canada has been very blessed..yes we got our problems Ray..and other things that are not too Godly going on..but Canada BOLDLY supports Israel..that says a lot …we are blessed in these last days..because of that ..shalom.
