“Muslims are exposed to racism in Norway, in a similar way as Jews were in Europe in the 1930-ties” .
This is a statement by Conservative party leader Erna Solberg, given to the Norwegian tabloid VG.
“Norwegians must take a stand against racism against Muslims”, is the demand from Solberg.
After the massacre at Utøya, the Conservative party in Norway lost 10 per cent on the polls. There was a conservative majority in the population, and the ruling center-left government was facing defeat.
After the massacre of the labor-party youth, the Labour party (AP) gets 40 per cent on the opinion polls. If AP gets 42 per cent of the votes, the Norwegian electoral system vill give AP a lone majority in the parliament in the national election two years from now.
The Conservative party leader Erna Solberg lived in the neighborhood of Neo-Nazi Breivik for 14 years. Breivik was attending the same school as the children of Solberg.
“When I first saw the media photo’s of Breivik, I recognized him”.
Solberg warns against Islam-critics.
“The words of extreme anti-Islam groups use on Muslims, is very similar to how antisemitic groups spoke about Jews before World War II”, claims Solberg.

To compare hate towards Islam and hate towards Jews, is a dangerous trap. Because Muslims in the name of Islam, has committed equal grotesque crimes against Jews, as any other political or religious totalitarian force.
Christians who warn against Islam, can easily become the target of the warnings from Solberg. She might be aware that Christians who warns against Islam is the highest lovers of Muslims, sharing the gospel with them, and helping them in their time of need.
Racism is wrong, regardless of who are the victims. Some of the most racist places on Earth, is Muslim nations. In countries like Saudi Arabia: Forget about Jews not being permitted to live in the Islamic Kingdom. Jews are not even permitted as tourists. In Saudi Arabia the Bible is banned, and Muslims who claim Jesus is God are persecuted and killed.
Do Erna Solberg have any concern for racism within Islam, and the totalitarian political systems this religion has built, in every nation where Muslims are in majority?
Do Solberg want this kind of political system in Norway?

When the state of Israel was formed in 1948, ALL Muslim nations expelled the Jews. Five Muslim nations attacked Israel, and tried to destroy Zion at its rebirth. That was a racist act, a crime.

No, the Norwegian electoral system does not give a 42%-party a majority in parliament (Stortinget). Last time Arbeiderpartiet got 42%, 1977, they didn’t reach a majority, and since then, the electoral system has been changed in a way that would give a 42%-party even a smaller share of the mandates than then.
You mention countries like Saudi Arabia, which are truly terrible. But what is obvious to the world is that in this wonderful year, 2011, the people, mainly muslims, in many Arab countries, hopefully soon even Saudi Arabia, are demanding democracy and freedom and getting rid of their dictators. The question is not whether a Saudi system will come to Norway, the question is for how long the dictatorship and religious terror in Saudi Arabia will stand.

Well, let’s look at, for example, Albania (70-80% muslims). Yes, Albania’s been a dictatorship. A communist one, just like the others in eastern Europe. Religion, whatever the sort, was banned. But now, Albania has been a nation striving for democracy for two decades. They’ve faced some serious problems, obviously, but the basic belief in democracy stands strong. There are no sharia laws. The freedom hasn’t been abolished. There is no contradiction between praising the muslim God and being a democrat.
With the Arab spring, many more examples like Albania will occur and your case will be thrown at the garbage dump of history.

I must admit, that you bring in a very good example in Albania. This was the most closed nation in the World after World war II. Before World war II, it have a history of being both under Muslim occupation and being an independent kingdom.
Since the number of people in Albania have never been counted and categorized, no one really know how many Muslims there are. Neither how many are Orthodox Christians, or Roman Catholics. The official figures of Muslims shows anything from 80 per cent to 40 per cent.
According to the World Christian Encyclopedia, roughly 38 per cent of Albanians are Muslim, and 36 per cent Christians, After almost 10 years under Fascism and 40 years of Communism, I guess the majority have become secular?
Albania is a very special county, because it is the only nation in Europe with a presumed large Muslim population. But this population have been completely disconnected from other Muslims nations for so long time, that it is more fruitful to talk about a national religion of syncretism.
After its independence in 1990, the Socialist part have been elected to govern. You can say a lot about religious Muslims, but very few of them are socialists. Today there is an Orthodox Christian in the seat of President. Another example of a population, who have merged into syncretism.
