The «Peace Now» movement wants the High Court to stop Defense Minister Ehud Barak and general Gadi Shamni in charge of the Southern Command.

The claimed to be a peaceful movement demands that the Court of Law orders the Israeli Defense Minister and the IDF General halt the construction of 15 permanent structures in the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Netafim.

The petition calls on Barak and Shamni to issue orders to demolish the buildings. According to the petition, the structures are being built illegally on public land and private land owned by Palestinians.
«As in any case that pertains to illegal Israeli construction in the West Bank, here too the presence of the law enforcement agencies is not felt», the petition read.
Peace Now said it filed the petition after realizing that without the court’s intervention the structures will be inhabited and «become yet another testament to the demise of the rule of law as it applies to the Israeli population in the West Bank»

My comment:
All of us wants peace. Even the «Peace now» movement in Israel. The question is: How do we get a true and lasting peace? Do we get there by trying to stop the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) from doing its job?
The «Peace Now» movement seems to be of two opinions. As long as the IDF is used to destroy Jewish settlements, than they will permit the soldiers to work. But if they protect the Jewish people who live in the districts of Judea and Samaria, than even the Court of Law needs to be used in a bid to stop the soldiers.
What a mad, mad World of «peace» movements we live in.
Let us pray for enternal peace in our lives..
