Strained by rising demand and battered by bad weather, the global food supply chain is stretched to the limit, sending prices soaring and sparking concerns about a repeat of food riots last seen three years ago.
Activists in Kathmandu, Nepal, beat empty plates in protest to the rise in prices.
Signs of the strain can be found from Australia to Argentina, Canada to Russia.
On Thursday, Tunisia’s president ordered prices on food staples slashed and indicated he won’t run for re-election after deadly riots hit the North African country.
“We are entering a danger territory,” Abdolreza Abbassian, chief economist at the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), said last week.
The U.N.’s fear is that the latest run-up in food prices could spark a repeat of the deadly food riots that broke out in 2008 in Haiti, Kenya and Somalia.
That the world food chain is stretched to its limit is not a shocking fact. This has been going on for some time now, and the prices of food will continue to escalate. The UN has reason to fear as this will soon spark riots.
But we as believers in Christ should fear nothing. God is always in control, one hundred percent.
This is another sign of the end of age, and we Christians must rejoice because this is just more evidence that the coming of Christ is near.

Guido Bertolaso, the head of Italy’s Civil Protection Agency, told Italian television on Sunday that the U.S. military «tends to confuse military intervention with emergency intervention», and that despite the presence of 13,000 U.S. troops there, «no one is giving orders».
Bertolaso threw darts at targets ranging from former President Bill Clinton to the United Nations, which he faulted for throwing aid packages at the island and hoping for the best.
«They thought they could bring something to eat and drink and the problem would be resolved», he told a television interviewer.

For hundreds of years, the people of Haiti were an object of Christians coming to the Island explaining who Jesus is in words and action. No nation on the Wester Hemisphere has been so unwilling to listen.
Haiti is one of the few nations that has Voodoo as official religion, a form of imported African witchcraft. Those who did not perform such extreme act of paganism in Haiti, were largely Roman Catholics, followers of a religion that mixes up different kind of paganism with a face of «Christianity».

Hizbullah is now a part of the Lebanese Government, and Shia Muslim Ali Shami is the present Foreign Minister. And even more alarming. Lebanon is holding a seat in the security council of United Nations.

The General Secretary was rather shocked by the calamities and damages he had seen. The Multiple Earthquakes had been above 8.9 on Richter scale, and had destroyed the Industrial belt of West-Germany. The CNN had confirmed that the cities of Cologne and Dusseldorf had cased to exist.
Several Chemical plants had caught fire, and toxic waist from the rive Rhine had entered into the The English canal and the North Sea. The UN had received reports that the portable river waters in Germany had turned bitter, and the ocean waters had turned red. In the sea out of Holland thousands of tons of dead fish had surfaced.
Two nuclear plants had also been badly damaged at the German-French border, and a cloud of nuclear pollution was reportedly heading for the city of Paris.
For the last two hours, the Head of United Nations had been unable to get through even on satellite phone to London and Amsterdam. A massive rock on the island of Tenerife of the cost of Africa had fallen in to the Atlantic Ocean. The News agency Reuters had shown pictures of a wave 40 meters high entering Southern England, destroying all communication centers. An American Air craft carrier had gone missing off the cost of Portugal. And two cruise ships from Carnival Cruise Lines had turned turtle mid-Atlantic.

From the Middle East there had come reports of 60.000 Chines soldiers being killed by a huge hail storm east of the Golan Hight´s, trying to enter Israel from Syria. Because of a string of Islamic Suicide attacks, the Jewish population of Jerusalem had left the city, and taken refuge on the Mountain ridges in Judea and Samaria. The wicked fellow claiming to be the Messiah inside the Temple Mount, had come on Israeli-TV telling Jews and Arabs not to panic. He had promised that peace would prevail.
