Libyan official: 147 killed in 6 days of clashes

Six days of tribal clashes in a remote desert town in southern Libya have killed 147 people, the country’s health minister said Saturday.

Fatma al-Hamroush said in a news conference in Tripoli that the fighting in Sabha has also left 395 wounded. Around 180 people have been transported to the capital Tripoli for emergency treatment, she said.

The clashes in the oasis region some 400 miles south of Tripoli show the fragile authority of the Libyan government, particularly in the isolated settlements that dot the southern desert.

With only a nascent national army and police force, Libya’s ruling National Transitional Council relies on militias comprised of former rebels to keep the peace, and the country’s vast distances makes it difficult to deploy them to trouble spots.

Deposed dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s 40 years in power moreover left behind a patchwork of local rivalries. The Sabha fighting pits southern Libyan Arab tribes that reportedly had close connections to Gadhafi against the African Tabu tribe, which fought against him.

My comment:

When NATO fought for Islamic Jihad in Libya, it was an eye opener for all who fear that democratic institutions will favor Islam on mainline Europe also.

I have earlier written that Islamic Jihad will transport Kadaffi’s Libya into a other Somalia. NATO basically helped the Muslims in Libya to replace one evil with a greater evil.

Islamic Libya going the Somalian way

Four people have been killed and at least five injured in a firefight which erupted earlier in the centre of the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

The clash centred on an old intelligence building bombed by Nato in last year’s uprising against ex-leader Muammar Gaddafi.
A brigade from the city of Misrata tried to free prisoners held inside, leading to a confrontation with another armed group from Tripoli.
The casualties were from both brigades.

Islamic Jihad is fighting for control over Somalia.

The gunfight broke out near the building between Zawiya and Saidi streets.The roads quickly reopened once the situation had calmed.

“I regret the incident. I don’t want to go into details, but it was the result of a problem between Misrata thwars [revolutionaries] and members of the military council of Zawiya street,” Abdul Hakim Belhaj, the head of the Tripoli military council, told a news conference.

“What happened is an irresponsible act and the situation is now under control. Since the afternoon, we have not heard any gunshots,” he added.

It is yet another sign of the continuing security threat posed by the disparate militias comprising former rebels, says the BBC’s Mark Lowen in Tripoli.

They still wield significant power in the absence of a national army or police.

But Libya’s new government, under popular pressure, has now begun the process of disbanding the groups and integrating them within the defence and interior ministries, our correspondent says.

Tens of thousands of fighters still make up the various brigades, and sporadic clashes have broken out between them in recent weeks.

My comment:

Noting good comes from a group of people, shouting “allah is great”. When NATO helped goons from Islamic Jihad to take over Tripoli, more trouble was in the pipeline.

One horrible dictatorship, have been replaced by another.

With multiple Islamic military groups armed to their teeth, Tripoli will very soon become the next Mogadishu.

Only when the last and final man of lawlessness enters the World stage, the Islamic civil war will be brought to an end.

Let us wait and watch.

US makes Tripoli the next Mogadishu

Libyan rebels have taken control of Col Muammar Gaddafi’s Bab al-Aziziya compound in Tripoli.

Libya_Tripoli_Rebels(2)_180 — The looting of Tripoli has begun. Islamic Jihadist's supported by NATO is turning the city into another Somalia.

TV footage showed fighters breaking off the head of a statue of the Libyan leader and kicking it along the ground. They also seized items from his home.

It is not known if Col Gaddafi or any of his family are inside the compound.

Rebel leaders say they are in control of almost all of the capital, though there are still pockets of resistance.

My comment:

The Talibanization of Libya has begun. One mad and evil regime will replace another.

Never before have there been a wider gap between the realities on the ground, and the media coverage on channels like BBC and CNN.

The city of Tripoli looks like in the days the US was supporting “freedom fighters” in Mogadishu, Somalia.

The US do not have a solid record of bringing “freedom and democracy” to the Muslim world. Not even the looters and hooligans in Libya, will show any respect for human rights.

After the looting, the rebels will start fighting each other. NATO will not be able to see any difference between the gangsters who will kill each other shouting “allah is great”.

Edrogan display Muslim unity visits Somalia

The Turkish PM visits Mogadishu to help his Islamic brothers and sisters.

Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan travelled through Mogadishu in a bullet-proof car, in contrast to the armoured personnel carrier usually used by Somalia’s President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed.

“We came to Somalia to show our solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Somalia, but this is not just for one day, we will continue to work for our brothers and sisters and we will never leave them alone,” Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told the BBC’s Focus on Africa programme.

“There was a perception that nobody can go to Mogadishu; we try to destroy the perception. We came – many others can come.”
The second aim was to provide humanitarian assistance and during this Muslim holy month of Ramadan the Turkish public had so far raised $115m for Somalia, he said.

My comment:

Somali is an Islamic problem that must be solved, if the civil war within Islam is going to be brought to an end.

It is simply not possible to build a One World Religion, as long as Muslims keep on slaughtering Muslims in the name of “allah”.

Turkish PM Erdogan is a man that can unite Muslims to make peace with each other. There are more important goals for the Islamic World, and that is world dominion.

Edorgan has a good friend in the White House, who has a Muslim father from Kenya. The next we might see is that Barack Hussein Obama might enter Mogadishu. The will be another grand opportunity to promote Islam as a great “religion of peace”.
