He claims he love Jesus. But says His blood is of no significance. John Mac Arthur claims the blood of Jesus only has symbolic value.

The first time I read a book of John Mac Arthur, it was about the Spiritual chaos that exists inside many modern day Charismatic Pentecostal Churches.
I agreed with him.
But the chaos inside such fellowships, does not make Pentecostalism null and void.
Neither does it mean that all who claims they have been washed in the blood of Jesus are liars.
When I read that Mac Arthur claims that the gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased with the Apostolic Age, I knew that this man had walked into deception.
Because if the Holy Spirit has changed His mind, and withdrawn from mankind, “Christianity is dead”. People who believe this is the fact, becomes a religious movement, and this movement do have millions of followers. But they operate without the help of the Holy Spirit. Preachers like Mac Arthur do promote “Dead Christianity”.
John 1:36
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
John 19:34
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
Where did senior preacher John Mac Arthur walk astray, into deception?
The source seems to be back in 1976, when this Baptist rejected the cleansing powers of the blood of the Lamb of God.
Lets read:
The April 1986 edition of Faith For The Family quotes him as saying in a 1976 article entitled, “Not His Bleeding But His Dying” “It was His death that was efficacious. . not His blood. . . Christ did not bleed to death. The shedding of blood had nothing to do with bleeding. . . it simply means death. . . Nothing in His human blood saves…It is not His blood that I love. . . it is Him. It is not His bleeding that saved me, but His dying.” It is incredible to me, that a Christian minister would make such statements.
My take on this is that believing that Jesus died on the cross will not save anyone. That He “died” is obvious. It is the washing in the blood of the lamb, that He shed on the cross that will cleanse me from my sins. And not to be ignored: You have to walk in the Power of His resurrection.
John Mac Arthur does not do that. He believes and teachers that the Power of the Resurrection is only limited, and does not include the believers authority to drive out demons, heal the sick, and to pray in different kinds of tongues.
John 14:16
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
Forever still means forever. The same advocate and the same power that the Apostles had, is available today. This is the central doctrine of Pentecostalism, and this doctrine is correct.
John Mac Arthur is wrong. He is a dangerous false teacher, and an enemy of the Power that Jesus has given the believers, who are his co-workers.
Hebrews 10:19
[ A Call to Persevere in Faith ] Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.
1 Peter 1:2
who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
The Word and the blood has to testify together. One without the other becomes “powerless religious stuff”.
Revelation 19:13
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
Romans 5:9
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
Colossians 1:20
and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Hebrews 9:12
He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
The Bible plainly tells us, that it is not the “death” of Jesus who purify us from all sins. But the blood He shed when He gave up His life on the cross. This might look like an insignificant difference. But it is not. The death of the passover lamb has now power, without the application of its blood. Read the book of Exodus one more time. The blood had to be used to stop the destruction Angel. The perfect lamb and its blood are not two separate issues, but the core of Christianity.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Jesus is by the way not “dead”. He is alive. He rose from the grave after three days, to be alive for ever more. His Powers are unlimited. Mac Arthur tells us these powers are limited, because Jesus is not able to work properly through his students any more.
1 John 5:6
This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
The Spirit of God can not disagree with the blood of Jesus. There is no other remedy for sins.
1 John 5:8
the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
