Oil prices are going up because the world economy is consuming more oil and supply has not increased to meet the demand.
One might argue that the market should price strategic risk into the oil price, but the fact is that markets are not especially good at assigning prices to possible events whose probability can’t be measured.
The price of oil tracks economic growth expectations. It is statistically absurd to seek another reason. The problem is not risk, but supply. The only way to reduce gas prices is to drill for more oil.

Israel has to be careful putting their trust in Joe Biden. As late as May 24th, the US Vice President was in Lebanon. There he meet the Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr, and promised to provide the Lebanese defense with 42 fighter jets as well as helicopters.

For what do Lebanon want fighter jets? Are they going to use them to disarm Hizbullah? May be there one day will be Hizbullah pilots in these Jets, attacking Israel?
The US should have waited till Lebanon recognizes Israel`s right to exist, before promising the unstable Lebanese government attack weapons.
That Joe Biden as late as January 2009 accepted that «Hilal-i-Pakistan» award from the Government of Pakistan, should tell us about a man that seeks fame, rather than wisdom and justice. If Al Quaeda ever will get their hands on a nuclear bomb, they will get one from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
It is the hight of hypocrisy to go and get honored by an Islamic nuclear nation, and in the next moment tell Israel to do the dirty job of stopping another Islamic nation from developing a nuclear bomb.
Anyhow, Joe Biden is a Roman Catholic. He will not stand with Israel in her trouble, but rather support the Vatican in the Papal effort to force a false peace upon Israel. If Israel has to go against Iran alone, you can be sure that forced peace will be just around the corner. With the US, Russia, China, United Nations, EU, Pakistan and the rest of the Islamic World , all crying foul against Israel. At a recent Palestinian Donors’ Conference at the UN, PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad could not even agree to insert the words “two states for two peoples” in the text of the conference summary. This standard formula was deemed unacceptable to the most moderate elements of the PA. If the Palestinian leadership has still not come to terms with the enduring existence of Israel as a Jewish state, everything else is hollow.
