The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) is a Palestinian Marxist-Leninist and revolutionary leftist organization founded in 1967.

From Beirut, Carlos and PFLP participated in the planning for the attack on the headquarters of OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) in Vienna.

The attack on OPEC took place on December 21, 1975.
