«One narrative sees 1948 as the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land. Another sees it as the birth of a nation».

This is a statement of Jane Fonda, who signed a letter condemning the Toronto Film festival focus on the celebration of the century celebration of Tel Aviv.
After realizing how self-destructive the Toronto Boycott Petition was, Jane Fonda has apologized for signing it. From her piece on the Huffington Post:
«I signed the letter without reading it carefully enough, without asking myself if some of the wording wouldn’t exacerbate the situation rather than bring about constructive dialogue».
«It can become counterproductive to inflame rather than explain and this means to hear the narratives of both sides, to articulate the suffering on both sides, not just the Palestinians. By neglecting to do this the letter allowed good people to close their ears and their hearts».
«The Israeli-Palestinian story cannot be reduced to a simplistic aggressor-victim relationship. In order to fully understand this, one must be willing to come together with an open heart and really hear the narratives of both sides. One narrative sees 1948 as the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land. Another sees it as the birth of a nation. Conceivably it was both. Neither narrative can be erased, both must be heard».
My comment:
Some commentators have applauded Fonda for having an open mind, listening, and ultimately realizing the mistake in this type of protest.
In a gentile lover of Israel an the Jewish people I do not agree with them. Please correct me if I am wrong in quoting historical facts.
Was there ever a «mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land» in 1948»?
If so, the Jews are a cruel people, who do not let the refugee return.
The truth is that there are two million «Palestinians» inside the state of Israel today, all of them with citizenship in the Jewish state of Israel. They are Israeli Arabs, the large majority of them Muslims.
From where have all this Muslims come from?
They were invited by the first Prime Minister of Israel David Ben-Gurion to stay behind, and live in peace with the Jewish people, when the Arab neighbors of Israel attached her in 1948.
It is correct that many Arab Palestinians became victims of this war launched up on the Jewish state. But can Israel be blamed for this?
These Muslims lived in areas invaded by Muslim forces, who even had warned them in advance, that the Arab military forces would attack their villages to try to destroy Israel from its day for birth. The Muslim nations even demanded that all true Muslims should evacuate Israel, and not end up defending the Zionist state.
Today, two million Muslims living in Israel as citizens of the Jewish homeland will forever prove that Jane Fonda and every anti-Zionist are deadly wrong. They have believed in the lies of Islam.

Her Father was a great actor but there was always something about him that I didn’t like and she is the impiety of it.
