Only four percent of Jewish Israelis think Obama is pro-Israel

Only four percent of Israelis believe US President Barack Obama has pro-Israel policies, a two per cent drop from a Jerusalem Post poll in June.

The Smith Research survey taken this week found 51 per cent of Jewish Israelis regard the Obama administration as more pro-Palestinian than pro-Israel. Of the 500 Jewish Israelis surveyed, 50 per cent would not support freezing settlement construction for a year while 41 per cent were in favor.

These responses come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to broker a deal with the Obama administration which would allow limited construction to continue in Jerusalem and Judea/Samaria
