«Jew me, sue me, kick me…». This was the original text in a song of Michael Jackson. When the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) sent him a strong rebuke in form of a letter, the Pop idol changed the lyrics.
The original 1995 song «They Don’t Care About Us», contained words like: «Jew me, sue me, kick me….». The SWC sent a protest, and received an apology letter. Later, Michael Jackson became the first visitor of the SWC sponsored «Museum of Tolerance».
When Michael Jackson’s «HIStory» album was first released in 1995, the Simon Wiesenthal Center was shocked to hear that some of the lyrics in this song was anti-jewish. The Center immediately protested these obviously antisemitic stereotypes that millions of people would be exposed to, directly to Michael Jackson and demanded that he and Sony Records remove the offensive lyrics from the album.
Michael responded by personally calling Rabbis Hier and Cooper and expressing his deep remorse and then following up with a lette, where he wrote:
«Unfortunately, my choice of words may have unintentionally hurt the people I wanted to stand in solidarity with … I intend to include in all albums that have not been shipped as of this date, the paragraphs above so that no one can listen to my music and misconstrue my intentions».
True to his word, not only did he do that, but a week or so later, he went back into the studio, deleted the offensive lyrics, and re-recorded the song.

I was a fan of Michael Jackson. He is one of the greatest singers of my generation.
I felt very happy when I got the latest newsletter from SWC. Happy for the soul of Michael Jackson.
Jackson was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness by his devout mother. He was abused as a child by his father, was by 1993 an addict of medical drugs. His brother Jermaine converted to Islam, and Michael Jackson might have done the same in 2008. I never met Michael Jackson, and could not question him about his views on the Messiah. That the Jewish Messiah has paid in full for all the sins of the World.
Michael Jackson suffered a lot of pain and agony in this life, also serious health problems.
If I could have been with him in his final moments, I would have asked him to repent, to cry out to the Messiah to forgive him for his sins. I hope Michael Jackson asked Jesus of Nazareth for mercy and grace.
I hope Michael Jackson made it to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Thanks for this comment. I agree with you, that “Jehovah’s Witnesses” is a sect, that does not teach the truth. I also know about their anti-Jewish attitudes.
Thats why I was happy, when I read that Michael Jackson had repented from using an anti-Jewish stigma in one song.
The real and true Jesus of Nazareth, loves a repented sinner. I still hope and pray that Jackson made it to the Kingdom of Heaven. True Messianic followers of Jesus cant even imagine all the horror any man have to face in the lake of fire.
