Patriarch lauds Jordanians protecting “holy sites” in Jerusalem

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem on Thursday commended the Hashemites’ role as custodian of the holy sites in Jerusalem.

Patriarch Theophilos III and HRH Prince Ghazi expose the Orthodox-Islamic nexus.

During a meeting with HRH Prince Ghazi, Chief Adviser to the King for Religious and Cultural Affairs and the King’s Personal Envoy, and Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Ali Gomaa, he said the visit by Prince Ghazi and the mufti came at a time when people in Jerusalem need all the support they can get.

He added that the patriarchy supports Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ call for Arabs and Muslims to perform pilgrimages to Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The patriarch said that Prince Ghazi’s visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre after praying at Al Aqsa Mosque implies many meanings, most importantly the region’s history of Islamic-Christian coexistence and the Hashemites’ commitment to their responsibility to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites.

He voiced appreciation for His Majesty King Abdullah’s and Prince Ghazi’s efforts to spread the culture of tolerance and respect among followers of different religions.

The patriarch held a lunch banquet in honour of the Prince and Gomaa, according to Petra.

Prince Ghazi and the Egyptian mufti began a visit to Jerusalem on Wednesday, according to an official statement.

My comment:

To hail the Kingdom of Jordan for their willingness to protect the “Holy Sites” in Jerusalem is a grand example of distortion of history.

When the Jordanian army attacked and occupied East Jerusalem in 1948, the Muslim army destroyed 55 synagogues and Jewish schools.

Jews were thrown out of the eastern part of the city, and banned from entering the holy sites of Judaism.

Why do the Word believe that the same Jordanian criminals will protect the religious freedom in Jerusalem?

Why do the Catholic and Orthodox clergy call on Islamic forces to protect their rights in the “Holy city”?

The truth is that East Jerusalem was under Islamic occupation up to 1967. This year, the city of David was liberated. The Zionist state of Israel is the only true protector of religious freedom in the united capital of Israel.

Vatican: Pope to strengthen special relations with the PLO

To secure Churches in the Palestinian territories, the “Holy See will strengthening the special relations with the PLO”.

Yasser Arafat kissed the hand of the late Pope John Paul II.

This is the essence from a fresh Press release in the Vatican.  A Pontifical delegation has returned from Ramallah, where there were held talks between the “Holy See” and the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO).

The Vatican signed a Basic Agreement with the PLO in 2000. The talks aimed at a comprehensive international agreement regulating and promoting the presence and activities of the Catholic Church in the Palestinian Territories.

“The talks were co-chaired by Msgr. Ettore Balestrero, under secretary for the Holy See’s relations with States, and Ziad Al-Bandak, the president’s advisor for Christian relations. The talks were held in a cordial atmosphere.

“Both sides agreed on establishing a working group to elaborate the aforementioned comprehensive agreement”.

My reply:

The Vatican is of course flattered that an Islamic terrorist organization promises to hold Catholic Churches open in a proposed Islamic statehood, that will become a Jew-free zone.

Just like Catholic churches struck a deal with Hitler to keep Catholic Churches open, while the Jews were slaughtered in gas chambers by the “German liberation organization” who ruled in Berlin.

It is a shame, that there is totally silence from the Vatican, in regards to the PLO and the Islamic Worlds refusal to recognize the state of Israel. The Vatican is also hailing Mahmoud Abbas, a holocaust denier.
