Two Irish Bishop that offered their resignation have been pardoned by the Pope.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin of Dublin provided an explanation in letter to priests and other local Church officials, saying:
“Following the presentation of their resignations to Pope Benedict, it has been decided that Bishop Eamonn Walsh and Bishop Raymond Field will remain as auxiliary bishops.”
Bishop Walsh and Bishop Field submitted their resignations in Dec. of 2009 after the report of the Commission of Investigation into allegations of child abuse in the Archdiocese of Dublin criticized them for how they addressed the issue.
Over a dozen current and former bishops in Ireland have reportedly been complicit in failing to inform police about more than 170 suspected pedophiles in the priesthood from the mid-1970s to mid-1990s.
Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi did not comment on why the two auxiliary bishops would stay in their positions nor did he confirm the rejection of the resignations. Rather, he told the AP that the Vatican only makes public announcements when resignations are accepted, not when they are rejected.

My comment:
A Bishop who has fallen into sin, can only be pardoned by the Pope. Since the Irish Government has accused the Catholic Church of sexual abuse of 150.000 children since the 1930-ties, the present Pope has surely pardoned more sins than any man can handle.
The Pope could have accepted the resignation of the Bishops, but chose not.
There might be many reasons behind the Popes cover up. The two Bishops probably knows about more skeletons in the closet inside the Vatican it self.
And under any circumstance: Vatican Spokesman Federico Lombardi contradict him self. If the Pope had accepted the resignation of the two Bishops, there was no need of further explanations.
But since the Pope pardons them, there is surely a need for the Popes comments in what looks like a denial of justice for sexually abused Irish children.

The two pillars are a part of St. Peters chair. The biggest chair in the World. And behind, in he center, the sun. Paganism at its best. The Holy Father in the Chair, and everyone facing him and the Sun God.
Only Christ can forgive this sin. The pope I believe is what the bible calls a false prophet.

The Pope is surely a false prophet and a false teacher. But he is more than that. The Catholic Church is headed by “The Holy Father”. That is the title of God the Father him self, used by Jesus the Messiah.

All the reformers of the Church agreed 500 years ago: The Pope is an anti-Christ, a replacement, a copy of the true God.
What are you justifications for lying down such accusations against the holy father? the problem with you guys is that you accuse people of heresy without understanding their belief systems. You believe in the bible yes? read it. wasnt there a time when the bride groom told mary that there was no wine and she told jesus to make the water into wine? wasnt there also a time when Jesus told mary and the unamed apostle. Behold child your mother? do you think that these words were all nonsense? thats where the catholic gets the idea of asking mary’s intercession through. Also didnt the angel gabriel tell mary hail full of grace so what are you saying that the angel is commiting idolatry as well? as for making sculptures. if it was really bad read the bible again. didnt God instruct them to make cherubim statues? so if it was really bad then tell that to God himself. You take the bible to literally. its a miracle that you havent cut your eyes yet and throw them away. because its impossible that you havent sinned yet.
