“Bangkok is a toilet without a flush,” the king said, describing a sprawling capital once graced by numerous canals increasingly awash with fetid water.

As Thailand’s ailing king surveys the calamitous scene from his 16th floor hospital window, the 83-year-old monarch encounters an element that has challenged, virtually obsessed, him most of his life: water.

It’s rising around him, the floodwaters sweeping through Bangkok and overflowing the banks of the Menam Chao Phraya, the River of Kings, that rushes right past Siriraj Hospital, where he has lived wheelchair-bound for the past two years.

The flood, the worst in half a century, is something King Bhumibol Adulyadej has tried harder than perhaps anyone to prevent. He has sounded alarm bells – not always heeded – against overdevelopment and come up with ideas that have mitigated the damage from the immense annual surges and retreats of monsoon-spawned water.

My comment:

This was not my suggested tittle, but copied from the Indian TV channel NDTV. And it is based on the Kings own words.

Bangkok is known for a lot of things. One of them is being a hub for prostitution and sexual sins. Another is idol worship.

The latest flood have made Bangkok a pit of sin, a stinking pit of sin.

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

The calamities that will strike the Earth will be both stinking and spectacular. If people only had opened their Bible, they would have fond the Word that could set them free.

Because all who delete the Word of God, and reject the Son of God, will be flushed into Hell. From there there will be no exit.

A Catholic school in Thailand has apologized after students dressed up as Nazis for a sports day parade, drawing condemnation from Jewish rights campaigners.

Photos released by the US-based Simon Wiesenthal Center appear to show red banners with swastikas as well as smiling students wearing Nazi

uniforms or saluting, some with swastikas painted on their faces.

A government official said Wednesday that, according to the Sacred Heart College in the northern city of Chiang Mai, the parade was organized by the students, who had not intended to cause offense.

“The school officially explained that it was an internal sports day and students who were in the red team wanted to give a surprise by using swastikas as the background since it’s the color red,” said Charnwit Tupsuphan, secretary of the Private Education Commission, a government body.

My comment:

Roman Catholics have a long history for support of Fascists and the Nazi-party in Germany.

In 1929, Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini gifted the Vatican state to the Pope.

In 1933, the Pope made a peace agreement with Nazi-leader Adolf Hitler. In 1936 a Roman Catholic named Franco rose to power in Spain. The Spanish fascist dictator ruled Spain till his death in 1974.

Latin America raised Catholic dictators for most of the 20th century.

Thailand is supposed to be a Buddhist nation. The claim that a Roman Catholic School had not heard about the crimes of the Nazis during the Second World war is at best a bad joke.

The explanation that the Catholic teachers liked the color red, and decided to let the student dress up in Nazi-uniforms with Swastikas, is distasteful.

Why not admit that Roman Catholics were great fan of the Nazis, and still adore and venerate the anti-Jewish ideology.
