Al Jazeera Media Network has announced that it has acquired US cable channel Current TV.

Al Jazeera is paying about USD 500 million for Current TV. That means former U.S. Vice President Al Gore’s stake in the deal may net him USD 70 million.
Not surprisingly, much remains cloaked behind the deal’s burqa. Some are criticizing Mr. Gore, who shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his fight against global warming.

Gore has said investors in oil and gas companies that ignore the cost of carbon dioxide emissions and other greenhouse gases are making a mistake similar to investing in sub-prime mortgages. Some wish he had sold to Glenn Beck rather than lining his pockets with money from Al Jazeera, the cable channel partially funded by oil-rich Qatar.
See Glenn Beck Tried To Purchase Current TV. “It’s reeking with irony,” said Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, Senior Associate Dean at Yale School of Management. “It seems to be at least a paradox in terms of his positions on sustainability and geopolitics.” See Al Gore’s Payday From Oil-Rich Qatar ‘Reeking With Irony’.

My comment:
Hypocrisy in our days comes without limits.
Al Gore got a “Noble peace price” in 2007 for his “fight” against global warming.
The Arabian TV Channel Al-Jazzera is built on money that exclusively comes from sale of fossil based fuel. Not only is Qatar one of the main culprits behind global warning. The Qatari petrodollars ends up in the hands of a few Royals, who store them in their Swiss bank accounts.
That Al-Jazzera is a distributor of Islamic values, seems to be less of a problem for a man like Al Gore. As long as the profit is grand, to hell with our Western moral and ethics.
Al Gore has built his fortunes on money from sponsors who fight against climate change. Today, the former US Vice President stand tall as a fraud.
Al Gore is a excellent example: Any day a claimed to be liberal can be purchased by Saudi Arabia, and even Iran, if there is enough money on the table.
Americas, and all supporters of freedom, liberty and human rights: Please open our eyes.
Jesus the Messiah did not use diplomatic language when He encountered the religious elite and hypocrites. He bluntly called them “brood of vipers”.
Repent or perish.
