«165.000 followers of Jesus were killed in 2009»

80 per cent of followers of Jesus who are persecuted and killed live in Muslim nations.

This is a statement of Majed El Shafie, an Egyptian Muslim convert to Christianity and founder of the One Free World International advocacy group. He is heading a group of Christian leaders, human rights activists and Canadian parliamentarians to Israel this week to raise awareness about the plight of Christians living in Muslim countries.

The group reports that there are hundreds of millions of Christians in the world today who are persecuted for their faith, 80 per cent of whom live in Muslim countries. El Shafie also noted that in 2009, 165,000 Christians were killed because of their faith.

«Hamas digs up the bodies of Christians from Christian burial sites in the Gaza Strip claiming that they pollute the earth», he claimed in adv ance of a lecture Monday evening at the van Leer Institute in Jerusalem.

El Shafie has personal experience of Muslim persecution of Christians. Born in Cairo into a wealthy family of distinguished lawyers and judges, he converted to Evangelical Christianity and wrote a book about his experiences, as well as number of Gospel pamphlets. As a result of his publishing activities, he was arrested, imprisoned, tortured and condemned to death.

He managed to escape from an Egyptian prison and hid out in the Sinai with Bedouin before escaping to Israel on a jet ski rented in the Red Sea resort of Taba. Imprisoned for over a year in Beersheva, he learned Hebrew and was eventually released into the custody of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, which arranged asylum for him in Canada. He then founded «One World» in 2004 and has been active in defending individuals being persecuted and jailed in Muslim countries for their faith.

While in Jerusalem, the OFWI delegation will meet with Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon and Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat to try enlist Israel’s help in the effort to confront Muslim persecution of Christians.

My comment:

Aston and I had a debate on this site this week about the persecuted church being the only true Church on Earth, and that tens of thousand of killed Jesus-followers is a part of the promised end time revival. But hardly anyone cares, in the lukewarm, «rich», naked and pitiful Westernized Church.

It the global media, including Christian-TV was not controlled by Satan, there would be coverage around the clock, of this massive genocide taking place.

If you do not realize that the Anti-Messiah have taken over the media, its time to take a look outside your TV-screen before its to late.

Most of the deception that creeps into Evangelical Churches World wide, is Americanized prosperity related messages. Talk about money, health and wealth. The Messiah demanded that his followers had to be willing to be crucified in regards to this World. 165.000 people in the Muslim world, China and India was willing to be just that. A living sacrifice for Him, telling the truth at any cost.

UK: Christians are persecuted and vilified

Christians are being “persecuted” by courts and “driven underground” in the same way that homosexuals once were.

These are the words of former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey.

He claims worshippers are being “vilified” by the state, treated as “bigots” and sacked simply for expressing their beliefs.
The attack is part of a direct appeal to the European Court of Human Rights before a landmark case on religious freedom.

In a written submission seen by The Daily Telegraph, the former leader of more than 70 million Anglicans warns that the outward expression of traditional conservative Christian values has effectively been “banned” in Britain under a new “secular conformity of belief and conduct”.

His comments represent one of the strongest attacks on the impartiality of Britain’s judiciary from a religious leader.
He says Christians will face a “religious bar” to employment if rulings against wearing crosses and expressing their beliefs are not reversed.

“It is now Christians who are persecuted; often sought out and framed by homosexual activists,” he says. “Christians are driven underground. There appears to be a clear animus to the Christian faith and to Judaeo-Christian values. Clearly the courts of the United Kingdom require guidance.”

My comment:

I am not an Anglican, but I agree with the analyze of this former Archbishop.

For Secular people the difference between a Conservative Anglican, a Bible obeying baptist or a pentecostal is immaterial.
If not Christians want to get rid of Christianity, they will go after us all.

The Bible explains that the great apostasy will start in the Church. Conservative Anglicans will first and foremost be betrayed by other corrupt and apostate Anglicans.

Luke 21:16
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

Many Christians have started to preach a twisted or corrupt “gospel”. A born again Christian do not have to worry by attacks from pagans. False brethren are a mush greater threat for the true Church of Jesus the Messiah.

US city fines family for hosting Bible studies

It is outrageous that Chuck and Stephanie Fromm were forced to stop Bible studies in their California city home.

A Christian attorney finds it outrageous that a California city has forced a home Bible study group to stop meeting until they obtain a permit.

San Juan Capistrano homeowners Chuck and Stephanie Fromm were fined USD 300 for holding a Bible study in their own home and were told by officials that ongoing gatherings of three or more people require a conditional use permit.

The Fromms were warned that they would be fined USD 500 per meeting if they continued to hold the Bible studies.  The family’s subsequent appeal to the city of San Juan Capistrano was rejected, and Brad Dacus’ Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is taking up the case.

“It’s so ironic that a city like San Juan Capistrano, with the famous mission it has that was founded upon faith and for the purpose of faith, would be so overtly hostile and intolerant towards people wishing to simply meet in their homes and to pray and study the Bible together,”

Dacus laments.  The Bible study group, which met on Sunday mornings, did not generate any disturbance in the area, and the family’s neighbors have written letters to relay their support for the Bible study.

“We believe, in the end, we will prevail, because courts seem to be somewhat amiable and tolerant when it comes to people and what they do in their own home, especially when it comes to issues of religious observance or religious gatherings,” the PJI president.

“We not only have the First Amendment of the Constitution on our side, but we also have the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000, which we at the Pacific Justice Institute have used effectively on many, many cases.”

Meanwhile, the city of San Juan Capistrano maintains that the Bible study is not allowed without a permit because it constitutes a “church.”

My comment:

The house Church has always been the ultimate frontier of true Christianity. Since most of the public “Churches” has been taken over by the politic correct, Bible obeying followers of Jesus must find other arenas to preach the gospel.

The Government has limited powers to control what you do inside your own private house. Who you can not invite for breakfast, is still not regulated by law.

The a city in California has stated to behave like the Islamic Republic of Iran, is another alarming sign of Sharia Laws being enforced in America. The Government wants to be sure, that you do not defame Muhammad when you invite your neighbor for dinner. You need a license to preach, and you need permission from the Government to study the Bible.

A rainbow alliance of secular and religious people will fine you and persecute you if you do not join the final Bible less “peace movement”, that strive for social issues and improvement of the environment on the planet in the name of “god”.

Separation of “church verses US state”

Two women have filed suit against a California school district because the scripture-bearing bricks they purchased to contribute to a high school campus sidewalk path would not be included in the project.

The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) filed the lawsuit against the Desert Sands Unified School District Board of Education on behalf of Lou Ann Hart and Sheryl Caronna, who bought the brick pavers through a school-directed fundraiser. While other pavers with inspirational, commemorative, and tributary messages were installed on the walkway of the Palm Desert High School campus, the bricks with Bible verses were rejected by school officials.

“They use that phrase that we hear all too often for trying to justify this, and it’s the so-called ‘separation of church and state,'” reports David Cortman, senior counsel for ADF. “But it doesn’t apply. That clause was never meant to censor protected speech that happened to be religious. It just simply turns the Constitution on its head.”

But he points out that some religious content was actually allowed, including a Hindu quote from Mahatma Gandhi.

“That’s where the government should not go; they should not be deciding what’s too religious or what’s not religious enough,” Cotrman contends. “Basically, if they open the forum for private speech, then they should allow that speech without passing through and censoring only that that’s considered to be too religious in their opinion.”

He hopes litigation will encourage the school district to include the women’s bricks on campus.

My Comment:

This may seem like an article that should be “swept under the rug.” But if you concentrate on the fact that these two women who wanted their Bible verse bearing bricks to be included in the Palm Desert High School campus project, but were rejected, then it becomes a problem for all Bible believing Christians.

It sets the “tone” of what the future will be like for us. The California school district had no problem including a Hindu quote from Mahatma Gandhi. They completely thought that was okay.

That this is a form of persecution is pretty obvious to us Christians who accept and love Our Savior Jesus Christ. Times will get harder in the US. With countries like Sudan, India, China (just naming a few) already suffering great Persecution, the Holy Word of God tells us this is what will happen in the end days, and that is exactly where we are. We must prepare by staying focused in Jesus Christ with prayer, and bible study. Our King is the only one who can get you through this.
