A mysterious epidemic is devastating the Pacific coast of Central America, killing more than 24,000 people in El Salvador and Nicaragua since 2000.
Many thousands more have got chronic kidney disease at rates unseen virtually anywhere else.
Scientists say they have received reports of the phenomenon as far north as southern Mexico and as far south as Panama.
Last year it reached the point where El Salvador’s health minister, Dr. Maria Isabel Rodriguez, appealed for international help, saying the epidemic was undermining health systems.
Segundo Zapata Palacios rests in a hospital as his wife Emma Vanegas sits at his bedside in Chinandega, Nicaragua, two days before he died of chronic kidney disease on Jan. 26 at the age of 49.

The Bible is crystal clear about what we shall see as the sign of the end of the age.
Floods, earthquakes, famines and pesticide at various places.
That 24.000 people have been recorded to have died of the same sickness in Central America, is an obvious sign for all who are willing to see.
But the world do not want to see and understand. Like an ostrich, most people have buried their head in the sand.

There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
When they them self get terminal illness, the government have secured the hospitals against preachers of the gospel. If an employee take the name of Jesus, he or she will be outright fired.
