Fresh oil to come from drilling in Golan Heights

Israel has given permission for an American company to drill for oil on the Golan, liberated from Syrian occupation in 1967.

Genie Energy had been issued an exclusive permit on Wednesday by Israel’s Energy and Water Resources Ministry to drill for oil.

This allows for oil exploration in a 153 square mile in the south of Golan Heights.

“Based on its preliminary analysis and interpretation of existing geological data, that the newly issued license area may contain significant quantities of conventional oil and gas in relatively tight formations, the development of which would entail significantly different technical approaches and project timelines than the other projects,” Genie Energy said in a statement.

Israel annexed Golan from Syria in June 1967 after a six-day war, with an estimated 2,500 Syrian fatalities and 591 taken prisoner. Despite being annexed in 1981, this move is not internationally recognised.

Israel-Syria peace talks halted oil permits for the area 20 years ago, with the relinquishment of Golan being one of the key facets. The talks however were never resolved.

My comment:

God of Israel has blessed His people. Both the good, the bad and the ugly among them.

The Golan Heights have never been the property of Syria. This area was occupied by Syrian forces in 1948, and used for the purpose of sending machine gun rounds into the Galilee.

The Syrian terror against Northern Israel ended when the Golan Heights was liberated in 1967.

Today the Golan heights is even more important than ever for the Israeli Army. If Islamic Jihad is able to remove the Basher al-Assad regime, the Islamic terrorists would equally have moved their terror beck into the Galilee.

Syrian mortar shells falls into no-man-land on the Golan Heights.

Syria fighting edges closer: A mortar shell exploded on the Syrian side of the Israel- Syria border Monday evening.

The projectile landed within the demilitarized zone’s limits, about 400 meters from the border fence.

My comment:

The days are hot. And it will surely get hotter.

After Islamic Jihad seized control of Libya, and the Muslim Brotherhood cached Cairo, Gaddafi’s arsenal of missiles are on its way into Gaza.

Soon the Islamic Jihad will also stand on the east side of the Golan Heights.

Than the valley of Armageddon will be just down the slope. Wicked men will march up millions of soldiers, preparing for the last battles. The enemy is God of Israel, who says he dwells in Zion. Those who fight Father, Son and Holy spirit will face an iron fist.

Syrian civilians paid to assault Israel border

The regime in Damascus paid poor farmers USD 1,000 to cross into Israeli territory and harass the Israeli army.

The mass Arab march on Israel’s borders scheduled for Sunday was largley a dud, but nearly two dozens Syrians were reportedly killed while trying to infiltrate the Golan Heights, reported Syrian media.

It was apparently more difficult than expected to convince the Arab masses to gather and assault Israel’s borders. So, according to the Syrian opposition, the regime in Damascus paid poor farmers USD 1,000 to cross into Israeli territory and harass the Israeli army. Any who were killed in the stunt were promised USD 25,000 to their families.

The Reform Party of Syria wrote on its official website that Syrian farmers make less than USD 200 a month, so many were tempted by the offer. And, if Syrian government media is to be believed, at least 23 paid with their lives for accepting the bribe.

Israeli army officials noted that very few of the Syrian demonstrators were actually injured or killed by Israeli gunfire, and most were the victims of minefields stretching along the border region. The minefields are clearly marked.

The largest march on Israel’s borders marking the anniversary of the start of the Six Day War in 1967 – which the Arabs refer to as “the Setback” – was to come from Lebanon. But it didn’t materialize.

At least four Israeli Arab Knesset members took part in the violent anti-Israel demonstrations, once again prompting calls that they be stripped of their parliamentary immunity.

Syria to Israel and the World: «Give us the Golan, or face more terror»

Syrian President Bashar Assad on Monday warned that if Israel does not negotiate away the Golan Heights, his nation may turn to more violent methods of reclaiming the territory it once controlled.

Speaking at an Islamic economic summit in Istanbul, Assad claimed to still want to reach a peace agreement with Israel, but said that if such an agreement is not based on Israel full surrender of the Golan, then «resistance» is an option he is seriously considering.

It was not the first time Assad has threatened war should Israel not meet his precondition for peace talks by guaranteeing a full Israeli pullout from the Golan.

Israel captured the Golan during the 1967 Six Day War after Syria had used it during the previous 19 years as a launching pad for repeated invasions of and attacks on the Jewish state. In the run-up to the Six Day War, the Syrian army had massed on the Golan in preparation for yet another invasion.

In 1982, Israel officially annexed the Golan returning the territory to the lands originally promised to the Jews by League of Nations, the forerunner to the UN.

NATO-Member Turkey has just joined the group of nations that will use terror to force Israel to a «peace» deal in the Middle East.

The Turkey Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has joined military drills with their Islamic friends in Syria, ruled by dictator Bashar Assad.

And everything is endorsed by US President Barack Hussein Obama. Together they will march to Jerusalem. Welcome to the age of the union that will bring the last antichrist into the Temple Mount in the city of David.
