Norway expected to improve country’s tone toward Israel
Pro-Israel groups in Norway hailed Monday’s national Norwegian elections that will bring to power a center-right government expected to be considerably more sympathetic to Israel.

“Among pro-Israel supporters in Norway there is generally a sense of relief that the Norwegian people voted out of power those who have very little understanding for Israel and some of whom worked for a boycott of Israel,” said Conrad Myrland, head of With Israel for Peace (Med Israel for Fred), the largest non-religious, pro-Israel organization in the country.
Norway’s opposition Conservatives, headed by Erna Solberg, swept to victory on Monday. They are poised to form a coalition with the populist right-wing Progress Party and two small centrist parties, the Christian Democrats and the Liberals.
Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, the Conservative party head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the outgoing parliament who is touted as a possible foreign minister candidate, said her party’s policies on Israel and the Middle East would be marked by “a little less dogmatism and a little more realism and understanding of self. That should be the basis of Norwegian policy in the Middle East.”
Progress Party’s Peter Myhre said his party would “reduce the criticism that the current [outgoing] government has used when Israel wants to defend itself. The country’s right to defend itself is very important.”
The Christian Democrat’s Hans Olav Syversen, who was head of the Friends of Israel group in parliament from 2009 to 2011, said one of the changes that would be brought about by the election of a new coalition would be a “new rhetoric” on Israel. “You will not see us asking for boycotts [of Israel],” he said.

My comment:
Let me fist underline that the antisemitic elite in Norway lost the election in Norway. This is good news.
The bad news, is that the new Right-left government of Norway is not going to commit it self to radical changes. The Norwegian embassy will not be shifted from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Norway is still going to feed into a “two-state solution”, which includes the division of Jerusalem.
The Jewish people were skeptical to the Messiah coming for Galilee. “Can anything good come from there?”. Surely, the Messiah was raised in Nazareth.
But from Norway, do not expect anything good. This nations is committed to Replacement theology, and “Palestinianism”. Still, there are some 10.000 Evangelical Christian Friends of Israel inside this nation.

Hamas aims to open naval military academy in Gaza
Interior minister says school would be part of police academy and will “benefit the society in civilian…affairs.”

Hamas is planning to open a naval academy soon in the Gaza Strip, Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hammad announced on Sunday.
He said that the new institution, which would be part of the police academy, would be an “extension of all marine sciences which benefit the society in civilian and other affairs.”
This is the first time that Hamas has talked about opening a naval academy in the Gaza Strip. Before the Islamist party seized control over the coastal enclave in 2007, the Palestinian Authority had a small police force in the area.
The Palestinians do not have their own naval force or warships. Israel maintains a naval blockade that extends six nautical miles (11.1 km.) into the Mediterranean for security concerns.

My comment:
If we define Gaza as a “Palestinian state”, the Gazan’s will automatically have the right to sovereignty over the waters outside its beaches.
And by International law the regime in Gaza will have a right to build naval forces to defend this sovereignty.

A navy will be in need of bases. And where there is naval bases, there will be visiting naval ships. And Iran will surely send more naval ships, and dock just 50 kilometers south of Tel Aviv.
Will this be “ok” for the International community?
