Daily bread from the life of Y´shua

John 3:13

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

This verse is used by promoters of soul sleep, the believe that there is not a soul in Heaven. All who have died are waiting for the final day of Judgment.  But just tell me: Have anyone ever «gone» into Heaven, I mean ascended into Heaven in their own strenght?  That is what Jesus has done several times. He took the Jews out of Egypt.  Moses and Elijah appeared in front of Him during the transfiguration. He commanded them. Elijah was raptured, only to return from Heaven at the appointed time. Not in flesh, but as an Angel on the command of God.

John 20:27
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.

A Jew named Thomas was one of the students of Jesus. He refused to believe the first reports that the claimed to be Messiah had left the grave, and risen from the dead. When Jesus appeared to Him, God the Son showed Thomas the proof of His resurrection. The message to Thomas is a message to all of us. Stop doubting that Jesus is alive.

Luke 6:20
Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

The Messiah did never say that poverty is a curse. To the radical opposite He said that having less is a blessing. To the rich and famous Jesus had many warnings. We are not supposed to store up riches on Earth, but rather build up riches in Heaven. We can only do that by blessing others. Selfishness is a sin.
